Abstract

The research studied on the euphemism in the program of Opera Van Java Awards 2011 based on sociolinguistic approach. This research aimed at describing the functions of the euphemism in the program and the background of using the euphemism. In accordance with sociolinguistic approach, the conditions of the variety of euphemism were settings, ends, and norms. The use of euphemism in the humor discourse of Opera Van Java Awards 2011 was inclined to reveal joking and laughing because it often showed the diverse connotation; moreover it was supported by the funny actors and actress.Keywords: euphemism, humor, sociolinguistic

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis efektivitas perilaku kepemimpinan pembelajaran kepala sekolah di SMP Negeri 2 Banyuwangi. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian evaluatif-deskriptif dengan pendekatan ex post facto dalam bentuk studi kasus. Pemilihan sampel dilakukan secara purposive sampling. Variabel penelitian adalah aspek kepemimpinan pembelajaran kepala sekolah yang mendukung terciptanya sekolah efektif, yang terdiri dari lima indikator, yaitu: perilaku teknis, perilaku hubungan antar manusia, perilaku edukasional, perilaku simbolik, dan perilaku kultural. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner model skala Likert terhadap 140 orang partisipan, dan data dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efektivitas aspek perilaku kepemimpinan pembelajaran kepala sekolah terhadap pengelolaan pendidikan di SMP Negeri 2 Banyuwangi, dilihat dari lima indikator, tergolong sangat efektif. Persentase efektivitas dari indikator perilaku teknis, indikator perilaku hubungan antarmanusia, indikator perilaku edukasional, indikator perilaku simbolik, dan indikator perilaku kultural adalah berturut-turut: 87,23%; 90,60%; 87,04%; 91,13%; dan 92,89%. Rata-rata efektivitas perilaku kepemimpinan pembelajaran kepala sekolah adalah sebesar 89,78%. Kata-kata Kunci: efektivitas perilaku,  kepemimpinan pembelajaran, perilaku kepemimpinan

Abstract

This research is based on the need for teaching materials that can be used in online learning effectively. The teaching materials needed are the ones that can display various content such as texts, images, sounds, and videos. Students can use the teaching materials anytime and anywhere. The research objectives are: 1) to describe the development design of Microsoft Sway-based digital thematic teaching materials for the 5th grader in Pucakwangi Subdistrict; 2) to describe the feasibility level of Microsoft Sway-based digital thematic teaching materials for the 5th grader in Pucakwangi Sub-district; and 3) to describe the effectiveness of Sway-based digital thematic teaching materials for the 5th grade in Pucakwangi Sub-district. This research is a research and development (R&D) research with ADDIE method (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The result shows that the recapitulation of the media expert validation reaches 95.29% with the category of very feasible, while the result of the content expert recapitulation reaches a percentage of 90.66% with the category of very feasible. The data indicates that Microsoft Sway-based digital thematic teaching materials are feasible to use for learning in Pucakwangi Sub-district. The averages of students’ learning results before using Microsoft Sway-based digital thematic teaching materials in SDN Pucakwangi 01, SDN Pucakwangi 02, and SDN Pucakwangi 03 are 74,54; 73,67; and 74,70. After using Microsoft Sway-based digital thematic teaching materials, their average scores are consecutively 87,73; 88,33; dan 89,70. The results showed a significant difference between learning outcomes before and after using Microsoft Swaybased digital thematic teaching materials in elementary schools in the sub-district of Pucakwangi.

Abstract

This study aims (1) develop a HOTS-based assessment instrument to measure the analytical and creative thinking skills of fourth grade elementary school students (2) analyze the effectiveness of the HOTS-based assessment instrument to measure the analytical and creative thinking skills of fourth grade elementary school students. The development of the HOTS-based assessment instrument adopts the 4D model developed by Thiagarajan, Semmel Semmel those are : Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate stages. The product trial design consists of product validation and test instrument testing. The subjects of the research trial included 3 teachers and 30 students of fourth grade of elementary school in Dabin 3, Jepara District. Analysis of product quality data uses validity, reliability, level of difficulty and differentiating power. Meanwhile, data analysis of feasibility and students' thinking skills uses analysis of ideal assessment criteria. The results showed that the instrument of HOTS-based assessment met content validity by the agreement of expert judgment with the percentage result of material aspects 94%, construction aspects 92% and language aspects 90% . Those are good categories. Furthermore, the results of the analytical thinking ability test of 52% of students are in the medium category, and 37% of students' creative thinking skills are in the medium category. The conclusion of this study is the development of the instrument of High Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) – based assesment is needed by teachers to carry out the learning assessment process to train and measure students' thinking skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis (1) dapat tidaknya layanan bimbingan kelompok meningkatkan ketaatan peserta didik terhadap tata tertib sekolah, dan (2) peningkatkan disiplin peserta didik terhadap tata tertib sekolah. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX SMP 1 Rogojampi, Banyuwangi,Semester 1, Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016. yang melakukan pelanggaran terhadap tata tertib sekolah pada bidang pakaian seragam, kehadiran di sekolah, dan pembayaran Sumbangan Komite Sekolah. Dalam penelitian ini, siswa menjadi sumber utama dalam perolehan data berkaitan dengan pelanggaran terhadap tata tertib sekolah pada bidang pakaian seragam, kehadiran di sekolah, dan pembayaran Sumbangan Komite Sekolah pada siswa kelas IX SMP 1 Rogojampi. Alasan mengapa penelitian ini dilaksana-kan di kelas IX atau dijadikan subjek penelitian karena adanya permasalahan-permasalahan diantaranya: pelanggaran terhadap tata tertib sekolah pada bidang pakaian seragam, kehadiran di sekolah, dan pembayaran Sumbangan Komite Sekolah masih cukup tinggi. Rancangan penelitian tindakan bimbingan dan konseling (PTBK) ini diambil menurut Kemmis dan McTaggrat yang memberikan batasan pelaksanaan, yakni : (1).Tahap Perencanaan, (2).Tahap Tindakan, (3).Tahap Observasi/ Evaluasi, (4).Tahap Terakhir adalah Refleksi. Sedangkan Teknik analisis yang digunakan untuk mengolah data di atas adalah : Analisis Varians (Anava). Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan nilai F dan uji t Scheffe menunjukkan signifikan, yang berarti Ho ditolak, maka dengan demikian dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa: (1) Layanan Bimbingan kelompok dapat meningkatkan ketaatan siswa terhadap tata tertib sekolah, dan (2) Layanan Bimbingan kelompok dapat meningkatkan disiplin siswa. pada Siswa Kelas IX SMP Negeri 1 Rogojampi, Banyuwangi,Semester 1, Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016. Kepada Wali Kelas, guru mata pelajaran, guru pembimbing dan staf sekolah lainnya apabila menemukan siswa yang melakukan pelanggaran terhadap tata tertib sekolah hendaknya sedini mungkin menanganinya dengan cara memberikan layanan bimbingan kelompok karena bimbingan kelompok merupakan salah satu cara yang sudah terbukti dapat meningkatkan ketaatan siswa terhadap tata tertib sekolah. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran epistemologi filsafat dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis pada anak Sekolah Dasar (SD), khususnya di SD Negeri 3 Tanjungharjo. Penelitian kualitatif naratif ini menggunakan studi literatur dan observasi untuk menganalisis bagaimana konsep-konsep filsafat seperti rasionalisme, empirisme, dan konstruktivisme dapat diintegrasikan ke dalam pembelajaran untuk merangsang pemikiran kritis siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana pemahaman tentang konsep pengetahuan dapat diterapkan dalam konteks pendidikan dasar. Dengan memahami bagaimana anak-anak memperoleh dan memproses oengetahuan, kita dapat menemukan cara-cara yang lebih efektif untuk mengajarkan mereka berpikir kritis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman guru tentang epistemologi filsafat berperan penting dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang mendorong siswa untuk mempertanyakan, menganalisis, dan mengevaluasi informasi secara mandiri. Implementasi strategi pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip epistemologi filsafat, seperti diskusi terbuka, pemecahan masalah, dan refleksi, terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini berdampak pada peningkatan kualitas pengajaran, guru dapat menerapkan metode yang lebih efektif dalam membangun kemampuan berpikir kritis pada anak, sehingga dapat membuat proses belajar mengajar menjadi interaktif dan menantang, sehingga siswa lebih termotivsi dan tertarik untuk berpikir kritis. Artikel ini menyimpulkan bahwa pendidikan yang mengintegrasikan epistemologi filsafat dapat membentuk generasi muda yang memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis yang kuat, yang merupakan aset berharga bagi kemajuan bangsa.

Abstract

Mastering vocabulary naturally aids students in the use of and examining the four language skills including listening, speaking, reading, and writing. As a result, there is a precise hyperlink between vocabulary knowledge and language capability performance. Therefore, this study aimed to know the relationship between students' passive vocabulary mastery and reading comprehension at Public School in Kudus. The quantitative method design was used in this research. The subject of this research was 30 students who were randomly selected. The instruments used were multiple-choice tests to measure passive vocabulary acquisition and reading comprehension. The data were analyzed using Pearson Product-Moment Correlation with the help of SPSS 25. The results showed a positive and significant correlation between passive vocabulary mastery and reading comprehension, with a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.533. This indicates that students' reading comprehension of English literature improves with their level of passive vocabulary acquisition. It means that the development of students’ vocabulary mastery is important to their reading comprehension. Therefore, teachers could implement more strategies that ultimately supporting students in becoming stronger and more confident readers. In addition, future researcher provides more nuanced insights into the relationship between passive vocabulary and reading comprehension on their research.

Abstract

This research delves into the leadership strategies employed by the principal of SD Negeri 3 Suru to enhance literacy activities within the school. Utilizing a qualitative case study approach, interviews and documentation reveal various initiatives implemented by the principal, such as the "Sweet Thursday Movement" and scheduled reading time. The principal's active involvement in managing and monitoring the program, coupled with the positive support from teachers, serve as key driving factors. Resource constraints did not hinder the program's positive impact on students' literacy skills. Regular evaluations ensure continuous improvement. These findings underscore the crucial role of the principal's leadership in fostering a literacy culture at SD Negeri 3 Suru. Targeted policies, the principal's active role, collaboration with teachers, and ongoing evaluation are key to the program's success. This research provides a foundation for other schools to develop effective literacy programs, emphasizing the importance of leadership in cultivating a strong literacy culture.

Abstract

Education management is strategically important not only for cognitive transfer but also for cultivating students' moral character, especially in addressing current educational practices that often overlook the axiological dimension (values related to goodness, ethics, and humanity). This study aims (1) to comprehensively describe the form and role of axiological values in character-based education management; (2) to analyze the application of these values in managerial practices, including policy planning, implementation, and evaluation; and (3) to formulate a conceptual model for the sustainable application of axiological values to strengthen character-based education management. This research employed a qualitative method with a descriptive-philosophical approach to profoundly understand the relationship between values, morals, and educational managerial practices. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, documentation study, and literature review. The findings indicate that the application of axiological values encompasses three core domains: the institutional value foundation (e.g., religiosity, honesty, responsibility), managerial implementation (e.g., democratic and humanistic leadership), and the formation of a character-based organizational culture (inclusive and collaborative). Philosophical reflection confirms that these values serve as an ethical compass in managerial decision-making, enhancing individual morality and strengthening institutional effectiveness. In conclusion, the research confirms the strategic importance of integrating axiological values to create a system that is not only functionally effective but also humanistic, moral, and sustainable, contributing a conceptual model for future education development.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has brought substantial changes to learning practices in elementary schools. Through the national digitalization program, the Indonesian government provides Smart TVs and Interactive Flat Panels (IFP) to enhance instructional quality and digital literacy, including in elementary schools across Rembang Regency. The integration of these devices not only transforms teaching methods but also introduces ethical and value-related challenges, particularly concerning moral responsibility, equity of access, and the humanistic dimension of learning. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness, value orientation, and ethical implications of Smart TV and IFP use based on an axiological perspective of the philosophy of science. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design in five beneficiary schools, data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews with teachers and principals, and document analysis. The findings indicate that the use of Smart TV and IFP: (1) increases student engagement and interaction, (2) supports teachers in delivering more engaging and contextual material, (3) enhances students’ motivation and interest, and (4) fosters teacher creativity in technology-based instruction. However, challenges remain, including disparities in teachers’ digital competence and technical limitations in schools. From an axiological standpoint, the success of digital transformation depends not only on the availability of devices but also on value awareness, ethical responsibility, and a commitment to using technology as a means of character formation and human development.
