Abstract

Instrumen unconventional merupakan sebuah media pembelajaran berupa alat musik yang dibuat melalui pemikiran kreatif untuk menunjang pembelajaran musik di pendidikan anak usia dini (PAUD). Instrumen unconventional yang dimaksud dengan memanfaatkan barang yang ada di sekitar lingkungan. Pembelajaran musik pada PAUD mempelajari tentang materi irama atau ritme. Musik yang diajarkan di PAUD dilakukan untuk menambah pengalaman bermusik melalui eksplorasi bunyi dan tidak menjadikan anak seorang musisi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu guru PAUD dan anak usia 3-4 tahun dengan jumlah 8 anak. Pengumpulan data yang dilakukan melalui Teknik observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumen, dengan teknis analisis data melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan instrumen unconventional relevan sebagai media pembelajaran musik pada PAUD dengan menyesuaikan tema pembelajaran pada setiap pertemuannya. Unconventional Instrument as Music Learning Media at PAUD Mawar BojonegoroUnconventional instrument is a learning media in the form of musical instruments made through creative thinking to support music learning in early childhood education (PAUD). Unconventional instrument are meant by utilizing goods that are around the environment. Music lessons in PAUD learn about rhythm. Music that taught in PAUD is to add musical experience through sound exploration and not make a children to be a musician. This research method uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The subjects of this research are PAUD teachers and children aged 3-4 years with a total of 8 children. The data obtained through observation, interviews, and document studies, with technical data analysis through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that the use of unconventional instruments is relevant as a music learning media at PAUD by adjusting the learning theme at each meeting.

Abstract

Learning is an activity aimed at acquiring knowledge and skills useful in life. Piano lessons conducted in the Music Education study program, Faculty of Performing Arts, ISI Yogyakarta, are part of formal education. Current piano lessons must be optimized with a different approach than the previous teacher-centered approach. A deep learning approach can be used to help students understand the fundamentals of piano. The deep learning approach has three main elements: meaningful learning, mindful learning, and joyful learning, which can be used to overcome the difficulties faced by students. This research used a qualitative method based on data obtained in the field, namely in the piano instrument study class in the Music Education study program, Faculty of Performing Arts, ISI Yogyakarta. The research approach used was a case study. Data collection techniques were conducted through literature/document studies, observation, and interviews. The data analysis process consisted of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions based on the data obtained during the fieldwork.
