Abstract

Abstract. This study concludes that the rise of corruption, collusion, and nepotism in the time of the Prophet Muḥammad comes from a variety of special terms and is contained in ḥadīth. These emerging terms affect the different usage associations of each term. The method used in this research is analytical and descriptive method. This study uses two approaches. The first approach used in the research is the 'ilm al-Ḥadīth approach. This approach is used to measure ḥadīth-ḥadīth relating to corruption, collusion and nepotism in terms of quality of matan and sanad; and its asbāb al-Wurūd. The second approach is the linguistic approach. This approach is enabled to explore the rationality of corruption, collusion, and nepotism through tradition, systematics, and language tendencies in producing an understanding. This research has several objectives. Firstly, to authenticate corruption, collusion, and nepotism as disciplinary and inconsistent attitudes that can be present in human beings without being limited by the dimension of time and space. Secondly, to verify and measure the existence of cases of corruption, collusion, and nepotism in the time of Mu'ammad ibn 'Abdillāh by analyzing the matan al-Ḥadīth, Sharh al-Ḥadīth, and asbāb al-Wurūd. Thirdly, inventory the terms of corruption, collusion, and nepotism in ḥadīth and map their usage. Keywords: Corruption, Collusion, Nepotism, and ḤadīthAbstrak.

Abstract

This study addresses a research gap in digital religion studies that have largely examined online radicalism through ideological lenses while overlooking how Sufi-based da’wah operates within algorithmic environments. This research examines how taṣawwuf-oriented preaching on YouTube constructs affective communication and how audiences respond to Sufi messages in polarized digital spaces. Using thematic digital observation of five Sufi YouTube channels, audience comment analysis, and focused interviews with Arrazy's assistant, this study applies algorithmic discourse analysis combined with affective mapping. Findings indicate that Sufi da’wah conveys concepts such as ḥilm, sakīnah, and tawāḍu' through gentle language, metaphorical narration, and repetitive spiritual aesthetics, generating positive emotional responses. Audience interactions reveal reflective engagement rather than confrontational reactions. From a practical standpoint, these findings indicate that religious institutions may strengthen counter-radicalization initiatives by integrating affective communication strategies into digital outreach programs. Furthermore, digital preachers can enhance the reach of contemplative discourse by aligning spiritual aesthetics with platform-specific optimization techniques. Ultimately, policymakers and content regulators should consider incentivizing moderate Sufi channels to diversify Indonesia’s digital religious ecosystem, thereby reducing the algorithmic amplification of extremist narratives.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to uncover the management model and organizational culture of pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) in Java. The study is based on ethnographic categories, namely urban and rural Islamic boarding schools, institutional system image categories, namely modern and traditional Islamic boarding schools. The research methodology involves library research for data sources and collection, and qualitative research for data analysis. The aim of using Lucia Mudiningtias' (2022) Islamic Boarding School Integration Management theory is to analyse internal capability indicators, such as finance, human resources, and organisational professionalism. Additionally, Muhammad Thoyib's (2018) theory of Contemporary Multicultural Islamic Education is used to analyse external capabilities, including community relations and the degree of nationalism. This research draws two conclusions, including: 1) Urban, rural, modern and traditional Islamic boarding schools in Java have the potential to improve and develop finances, risk management, cooperatives, work ethic, and increase the competence of educational staff; and 2) The text discusses urban, rural, modern, and traditional Islamic boarding schools in Java, focusing on their interaction with local communities, decision-making inefficiencies, cases of istiqāmah-qanā'ah in work, and the lack of career paths for teaching staff. Additionally, external elements such as the community can be involved, and teaching staff can be delegated to various educational and social services in the surrounding community. Annual periodic training, managerial counseling, and human resource empowerment for ustadz and ustadzah can also be implemented.
