Abstract

Tanaman kayu putih (Melaleuca leucadendra L.) merupakan salah satu sumber penghasil minyak atsiri yang penting bagi industri minyak atsiri di Indonesia dan merupakan produk hasil hutan bukan kayu dengan prospek cukup baik untuk dikembangkan. Kandungan daun kayu putih kering memiliki senyawa yang berfungsi sebagai anti-virus, analgesic, dekongestan, anti-piretik, anti-septik, tonic, anti-inflamasi, anti-oksidan. Desa Dawarblandong Mojokerto mempunyai hutan daun kayu putih. Karakteristik tanahnya kurang bagus untuk pertanian karena cenderung kering, sehingga pohon daun kayu putih dapat menjadi potensi yang dapat meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat sekitar. Jurnal ilmiah ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan produksi minyak kayu putih dan digital marketing kepada masyarakat desa Dawarblandong. Pembuatan minyak kayu putih ini menggunakan 1 set alat Distiller Portable berkapasitas 20 L dengan 2 metode yaitu menggunakan daun kayu putih yang telah dikeringkan dan daun kayu putih yang belum dikeringkan. Daun minyak kayu putih basah sebanyak 715g didistilasi menghasilkan minyak kayu putih sebesar 3 mL dengan rendemen sebesar 0,38\% dan untuk daun kayu putih kering menghasilkan minyak kayu putih sebesar 4 mL dengan rendemen sebesar 0,56\%. Pengemasan produk menggunakan botol kaca vial sehingga kualitas dari minyak kayu putih dapat lebih terjaga. Pembuatan digital marketing berupa website penjualan adalah untuk mempermudah dalam konsumen melihat dan membeli produk.

Abstract

Berkembangnya era globalisasi serta perdagangan masyarakat ekonomi ASEAN, kebutuhan akan produk halal semakin besar dan diminati. Upaya Pemerintah dalam mendorong Indonesia menjadi produsen produk halal yakni membuat UU Nomor 33 Tahun 2014 Tentang Jaminan Produk Halal. Sifat sertifikasi halal yang semula sukarela menjadi wajib bagi pelaku usaha. Sehingga, UMKM juga diwajibkan untuk menerapkan Sistem Jaminan Halal agar mutu dan kualitas produk menjadi lebih baik di mata konsumen. Kondisi ini dimanfaatkan oleh Tim Pengabdi melalui GEMESH (Gerakan Menuju Sertifikasi Halal) yang telah membentuk suatu Kawasan Halal di Taman Indah, Sidoarjo. Tim Pengabdi memfasilitasi UMKM pangan dalam meningkatkan kesadaran akan pentingnya kaidah halal serta membantu proses sertifikasi halal produknya melalui kampanye GEMESH yang diintegrasikan dengan kegiatan KKN mahasiswa meliputi sosialisasi, diklat penyelia halal, seminar dan pelatihan proses produksi halal, hingga pendampingan proses sertifikasi halal serta dengan website gemeshalal.in untuk mendukung keberlanjutan kampanye GEMESH. Terdapat 1 UMKM yang telah verval berkas sertifikasi halal dan 3 UMKM lainnya belum tersertifikasi karena harus melakukan perbaikan data dalam pengajuan pendaftaran sertifikasi halal.

Abstract

This study presents a direct multicomponent analysis method using UV-Vis spectrophotometry to determine Cu(II), Fe(III), and Ni(II) ion content without prior complexation or separation. Single and multivariate regression was used to predict metal ion content, and the resulting model was trained and validated using a dataset of 25 multi-component samples. The mean recoveries for Cu(II), Fe(III), and Ni(II) using linear and ridge regression based only on absorbance at 805 nm were 99.97% and 101.6%, 95.42% and 95.65%, and 99.43% and 99.99%, respectively, for the 20% test data. The mean recoveries for Cu(II), Fe(III), and Ni(II) using linear and ridge regression based only on absorbance at 805 nm were 92.27% and 95.03%, 125.3% and 124.11%, and 104.15% and 105.52%, respectively, for the test solution outside of the training data. These results demonstrate the effectiveness of the multivariate UV-Vis spectrophotometric method for the simultaneous determination of Cu(II) and Ni(II) in multicomponent samples, which meets the analysis standard and can be successfully applied. Finally, the study sheds light on the influence of spectral interference on the accuracy of regression models. It highlights the importance of carefully selecting the wavelengths used as predictors in such models. This can have significant implications for developing and validating analytical methods, particularly in cases where multiple analytes were present in a sample.

Abstract

The problem of sulfur content in heavy oil is a challenge for researchers to meet the needs of environmentally friendly fuels. The catalyst preparation plays an important role in the desulfurization process. The synthesis of ZnO-activated carbon as a catalyst and its activity in oxidative desulfurization (ODS) reaction has been successfully carried out. In this work, the ZnO and activated carbon (AC) were blended by a solid-solid reaction. The ZnO, AC, and ZnO-AC were then characterized using acidity test with pyridine vapor adsorption, Fourier Transform Infra-Red (FTIR), X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscope-Energy Dispersive X-Ray (SEM-EDX), and Surface Area Analyzer (SAA). ODS of dibenzothiophene (DBT) reaction was performed by using H2O2 under variation of the reaction time (30, 60, 120, and 150 min) for the ZnO-AC catalyst. The efficiency of ODS-DBT was analyzed by a UV-Visible spectrophotometer. The XRD analysis result showed that ZnO-AC blended displays new crystal peaks of Zn in the AC diffractogram. The surface area (734.351 m2/g) and acidity (4.8780 mmol/g) of ZnO-AC were higher than ZnO and AC themselves. ZnO-AC produced the highest efficiency of ODS-DBT which was 93.83% in the reaction time of 120 min. Therefore, the simple procedure of this physical blending was proved effective to homogenize between ZnO and AC into ZnO-AC so that it has good physicochemical properties as an ODS-DBT catalyst.
