Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent of the quality of cellular-based internet network services in the coastal areas of Batam, especially on Rempang Galang Island. The background of the research is to increase public awareness to use the internet for economic development and to improve the quality of human resources. With the internet, the people of Rempang Galang Island can open their insights, knowledge, skills, market share and wider business opportunities. This awareness has also led to an increase in the number of people who use cellular-based internet. With cellular-based, many advantages are obtained. Among others, it does not depend entirely on PLN electricity, mobility and flexibility and has many uses. In order to serve the needs of the Rempang Galang community for good internet network services, a study is needed to find out the facts on the ground. The research method used is the QoS (Quality Of Service) method. The main parameters of throughput, delay, packet loss, and jitter with reference standards are TIPHON (Telecommunications and Internet Protocol Harmonization over Networks). The tools used are Axis NetTools, Wireshark and Iperf. The results of the study will obtain a picture of the quality of cellular-based internet network services on Rempang Galang Island, Batam City. The final goal of the research is as input for the Batam City Government and the private sector in order to jointly build the Batam City to be more advanced and equitable.

Abstract

This research is a study of the effect of promotions and price on PT Honda's motorcycle purchase decisions. Mitra Krida Perkasa Batam. In this study, the independent variable is Promotion and Price, while the independent variable is purchase decision. The data used in this study are primary data obtained from research studies. The researchers distributed questionnaires to 141 respondents, and quantitative causality was used as the research method. The hypothesis is proven by multiple regression analysis. The study was conducted in several phases viz. The first step is to familiarize yourself with the theories of literature and gather information about the chosen and studied topic. The second step is to gather basic information through a survey. The third step is to test the usefulness of the data through validity and reliability testing. Step four, exploratory hypothesis testing with multiple regression for partial and simultaneous testing of hypotheses. In the fifth step, it is investigated whether the independent variables of the dependent variable can reinforce each other's influence or are related to each other. The results of this study show that partly advertisement and price have a large positive and significant effect on the purchase decisions of Honda motorcycles in PT. Mitra Krida Perkasa Batam and at the same time discount and price variables together have a significant and very positive effect on PT Honda's motorcycle purchase decisions Mitra Krida Perkasa Batam

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi Pengaruh citra merek, kepercayaan dan kualitas produk terhadap keputusan pembelian Pixy two way cake di Kota Batam. Populasi yang menjadi fokus penelitian adalah pembeli produk Pixy two way cake di Pixy Mega Mall Kota dengan didasari pada jumlah pembelian pada Mei, Juni dan Juli tahun 2023 dengan sebanyak 624 konsumen. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 244 responden yang dipilih menggunakan metode rumus Slovin yang ditarik berdasarkan purposive sampling. Untuk menganalisis data, dilakukan regresi linier berganda dengan melibatkan uji kualitas data, uji asumsi klasik, serta pengujian hipotesis. Hasil dari analisis regresi linier berganda menunjukkan bahwa citra merek memiliki pengaruh sebesar 13,0% terhadap keputusan pembelian. Kepercayaan memiliki pengaruh sebesar 32,7% terhadap keputusan pembelian. Kualitas produk memiliki pengaruh sebesar 30,9% terhadap keputusan pembelian. Temuan dari analisis koefisien determinasi (R2) mengindikasikan bahwa citra merek, kepercayaan, dan kualitas produk secara keseluruhan mampu menjelaskan 61,6% variasi dalam keputusan pembelian. Selain itu, uji t dan uji F menunjukkan bahwa citra merek, kepercayaan, dan kualitas produk, baik secara parsial maupun secara simultan, memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian Pixy two way cake di Kota Batam.

Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dampak dari kepercayaan, citra merek, dan promosi terhadap keputusan pembelian two way cake Viva di Kota Batam. Dengan menerapkan pendekatan kuantitatif, populasi penelitian terdiri dari 277 pelanggan Guardian Panbil Mall Batam. Sampel sebanyak 164 responden dipilih menggunakan metode Slovin dengan menerapkan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis regresi linear berganda digunakan untuk mengevaluasi validitas data, menguji asumsi-asumsi klasik, menilai uji pengaruh, serta menguji hipotesis yang diajukan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kepercayaan memiliki kontribusi sebesar 57,4% terhadap keputusan pembelian, sementara citra merek dan promosi memiliki kontribusi sebesar 16,4% dan 10,2%. Dengan menggabungkan efek dari kepercayaan, persepsi merek, dan promosi, yang tercermin melalui koefisien determinasi (R2), efek gabungannya mencapai 74,0%, menandakan bahwa variabel tersebut secara signifikan menjelaskan variasi dalam keputusan pembelian two way cake merek Viva. Hasil uji hipotesis menegaskan bahwa kepercayaan, persepsi merek, dan promosi masing-masing memberikan dampak positif dan signifikan secara statistik terhadap keputusan pembelian two way cake merek Viva di Kota Batam, baik secara individu maupun secara bersama-sama

Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine the effect of brand image and product quality onfrozen food purchasing decisions in Batam City. Data were obtained through questionnairesdistributed to people who shopped at Pasar Mitra Raya Batam City. The method used isdescriptive statistical analysis using SPSS version 26 software program. The yield of the ttest (partial) that brand image has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisionswith t count > t table with a significance < 0.05, namely 11, 038 > 1,976 and a significant of0.000 <0.05, product quality has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisionswith t count 5.038 > t table 1.976 where sig. 0.000 < 0.05. This is evidenced from the yieldof the F test where F count > F table with a significance of < 0.05, namely 255,073 > F table2.665 and sig 0.000 < 0.05 which states that brand image and product quality have a positiveand significant impact simultaneously on purchasing decisions. frozen food in Batam city.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the effectsof the loan to debt ratio, non-performaan loan, and net interest margin on return on asets with the object of Indonesian foreign exchange private banking, the population used is the entire foreign exchange private banking sector in Indonesia, which is 28 companies with the sample used is 7 private foreign exchange banks. The research instrument used is documentary in nature and as wee as using secondaryinformation source which is obtained from the annual reports of Indonesian foreign exchange private banks. The analysis technique used is test of normallity, multicolinearity, heterocedasticity, and also multiplication of liniar regresion test which includes t tabel anc t count test, F tabel test, using SPSS 26 program. The result of the partial test on loan to debt ratio cant make any different on return on asets whither its increasing or hanging low, non-performing loans also have no effect on return on assets, while the partial test on net interest margins affecting on return on asets. The results of the simultaneous test, the three independent variables simultanously having its influence on the return on asets. The result of the coeficients of determinate, give the results of an influence of 21% on the return on asets, the remaining 79% is will and only can be affected by other variables besides said inependents variable.

Abstract

The development of information technology today has encouraged the birth of a neweconomic paradigm which eventually formed a virtual world in the world of commercewhich is often called e-commerce. which has been agreed upon by the seller and thebuyer. the seller must tell the price of the product purchased which determines a level ofprofit in addition. Data analysis and digital consultant, SainsOne Data, released a study onthe position and growth of the e-commerce economy in Indonesia during the first half of2018 and revealed that the 10 best online stores in Indonesia consist of e-commerce andmarketplaces. The purpose of this study was to determine the quality, promotion, andproduct trust have a simultaneous effect on the buying interest of Tokopedia e-commerceconsumers in Batam City. The method used is a quantitative method. the data sourcesused are primary data and secondary data. The data will be analyzed by descriptivemethod. The theoretical basis used is the theory of knowing that product quality,promotion, and trust have a simultaneous effect on consumer buying interest in ecommerce. by using the instrument test, reliability, classic, and multicollinearity. based onthe data analysis carried out, it was concluded that through multiple linear regressionanalysis and the results obtained that there was an influence between product quality andconsumer buying interest in the Tokpedia online store in Batam city, it could significantlyaffect the buying interest of the people of Batam city on the buying interest of online shopconsumers. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether communication and work discipline affect employee performance at the Batam City Health Office. This research was conducted using quantitative techniques. The population used consisted of 164 employees of the Batam City Health Office. The research sample used as many as 164 employees of the Batam City Health Office with the saturated sampling method. Questionnaires were used as a data collection technique. By using SPSS 25 software, data analysis techniques include descriptive statistical tests, data quality tests, classical assumption tests, influence tests and hypothesis testing. Based on the results of multiple linear regression, communication has an effect of 0.392 or 39.2% on employee performance (Y) at the Batam City Health Office and work discipline (X2) has an effect of 0.490 or 49.0% on employee performance (Y) at the City Health Office. Batam. Communication factors and work discipline affect employee performance (Y) at the Batam City Health Office by 71.4%, according to the data of the coefficient of determination (R2). Based on the results of the t test, communication has a partially significant effect on employee performance and work discipline has a partially significant effect on employee performance, and the f test results show that communication and work discipline simultaneously have a significant effect on employee performance (Y) at the Batam City Health Office.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of service quality, product quality and promotion on Maxim's customers satisfaction in Batam simultaneously and partially. The sample# in this study were customers' of Maxim, in Batam, Sagulung sub-district and Batam City, totaling 400 respondents with non-probability sample method. The results of the study indicate that service quality, products quality and the promotion have a positive effect on customer satisfaction with the regression equation Y = 5.177 + 0.2481X1 + 0.301X2 + 0.280X3. The contribution of the influence of service quality, product quality and promotion to customer's satisfaction simultaneously is 68.8%, the calculated F value is greater than F tabe or (291.197 > 2.6049) with a significance of 0.000 < 0.05. There is a simultaneous positive and significant effect among service quality, products quality and promotion on customer's satisfaction.

Abstract

Economic development in Batam has been slowing down in recent years. Batam PDRB has shown downturn tren. Between 2015 and 2016 there were 110 companies closed operation with 53 others were closing their operations in the beginning of 2017. As the result of the condition, the central government changed all top officers of BP Batam in 2017. This reseach is set to find the dominant factors of the downturn of Batam economic growth. This research aim to find the dominant factors of the downturn using qualitative descriptive method with comparative analysis. The finding shows that the dominant factor of economic in Batam is from FDI. FDI in Batam has been reduced gradually since 2012 which led to macro economic downturn in Batam. This downturn of FDI is a result of these factors: (1) As a direct impact of global economic downturn as Batam lies its economic activity to global export-import; (2) Losing its competitive advantage by the lack of proper infrastructure and electricity for industrial need; (3) The rise of other FTZ in China and Malaysia; (4) The complicated licencing prosess from two governmental body – BP Batam and Pemko Batam; (5) The economic protection policy from government that put a high tariff for trading goods from Batam to the rest of Indonesia borders making investors have not benefited from their position in Batam to enter Indonesia market; (6) The rise of workers wage; that only ranked second after Jakarta.
