Abstract

Kepercayaan diriadalah suatu keyakinan terhadap kemampuan diri sendiri terhadap situasi yang sedang dihadapi. Individu yang memiliki rasa percaya diri akan yakin pada kemampuan atau kompetensi diri, berani menerima dan menghadapi penolakan orang lain, berani menjadi diri sendiri, memiliki internal locus of, mempunyai cara pandang yang positif terhadap diri sendiri. Kenyataannya masih ada siswa yang kurang memiliki rasa kepercayaan diri seperti beberapa siswa tidak mampu mengemukakan pendapat di depan kelas, merasa canggung saat bicara di depan kelas dan tidak berani menjadi diri sendiri. Hal ini dipengaruhi oleh salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi kepercayaan diri yaitu dukungan sosial teman sebaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: 1) dukungan sosial teman sebaya 2) kepercayaan diri remaja 3) hubungan dukungan sosial teman sebaya dengan kepercayaan diri remaja. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif korelasional. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh siswa SMP Negeri 18 Padang tahun ajaran 2015/2016 dengan sampel 86 orang. yang digunakan adalah angket dengan menggunakan skala Likert. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan analisis persentase dan untuk melihat hubungan di antara kedua variabel digunakan teknik Pearson Product Moment. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) dukungan sosial teman sebaya berada pada kategoritinggi, 2) kepercayaan diri remaja berada pada kategoritinggi, 3) dan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara dukungan sosial teman sebaya dengan kepercayaan diri remaja.

Abstract

This research is based on teaching materials that are less suitable with curriculum demands, less adjusting to writing process (pra writing, when writing, and post writing), and less interest of students to write descriptions. This study aims to determine the validity, practicality and effectiveness of teaching materials write description using Three Word Main Idea Map. The type of research is development research. This research uses 4-D model which consists of 4 stages: define, design, develop, and disseminate. Validity test data obtained through the implementation of RPP sheet, assessment of teacher and student responses. The effectiveness is seen from the activity, the assessment of the process and the result of writing the description. Based on the validity, practicality, and effectiveness test obtained the percentage is very valid, very practical, and very effective for every aspect. Based on the assessment of the results of writing description can be seen the percentage of mastery of writing results increased descriptions. Based on these results, it is concluded that teaching materials to write descriptions using Three Word Main Idea Map developed can improve the skills of writing descriptions.

Abstract

Young prisoners need non-formal education in order to achieve the targeted teenager's future, because young prisoners have the right to carry out educational. The purpose of this study was to describe learning skills of the young prisoners in correctional institution adolescent Tanjung Pati Lima Puluh Koto. An analyze of the data used instruments learning skills of the young prisoners to 23 teenagers and analysis used is presentation. The research finding showed that learning skills of young prisoners at a medium level. The implication of this research is to identification learning skills young prisoners. In order, the results of this study could be data to assist the prisoners for solving their problems in learning skills, in developing a product to improve learning skills of the young prisoners.

Abstract

Student has a different level of aggressiveness, this was influenced by various factors one of them is gender. Aims of this research is to examine differences the aggressiveness students based on gender. The method was ex post facto with a 2 groups design. Thepopulation is 566 and samples were 234 students. Sampling technique used stratified random sampling.The instrument usedAggressiveness Scale, with reliability scoreis 0,936. Data were analyzed by using the descriptive statistics and anova. The results of this research show that there is a significant difference of aggressiveness in terms of gender. The implication of this research can be used as students need assessment to make improvement a program of guidance and counseling.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the contribution of time management to student academic procrastination, contribution of locus control to student academic procrastination, and contribution of time management and locus of control to academic procrastination of UMSU Medan students. Types of quantitative research correlational approaches. The population are 180 undergraduate students of UMSU Medan. Sample 124 people with stratified proportional random sampling technique. The instrument used is Likert scale. The reabilty of instrument 0,955. Research data were analyzed by simple regression and multiple regression. The result of the research shows that the ability of time management with medium category, the tendency locus of control with medium category, low academic procrastination level, time management contribute significantly to academic procrastination, locus of control contribute significantly to academic procrastination, time management and locus of control jointly contribute 20,6% significantly to the academic procrastination of students at UMSU Medan.

Abstract

Public perception of early marriage has many variations. The education level is factors which influence it. Aims of this research are to description’s differences public perception of early marriage based on education level. The method was ex-post facto with a threedesign. The population is the community of Sidojadi, Kecamatan Bukit Malintang, Kabupaten Mandailing Natal, consists of 888 people and samples were 276 people. The instrumentis a perception of public about early mirage by using Likert scale model andreliability test is 0.910. Data were analyzed by using the descriptive statistics and ANOVA. The result of this research shows that there is a significant difference of public perception about early marriage based on the education level.

Abstract

This research is conducted based on the fact that underachiever students are still found in the field students whose intelligence is high but their learning outcomes are below standard. Self regulated is assumed as a factor exerting an influence upon underachiever students’ learning achievement. The aim of this research is to see the correlation between self regulated and learning achievement of the underachievers. This research is classified into quantitative study which was conducted by applying correlational method. The subjects of the research were 87 students. The instruments used is self regulated instruments by applying scale of Likert model. The data obtained were analyzed by using simple regression. The results of the research indicate that there is a positive and significant correlation between self regulated and learning achievement of the underachievers.
