Abstract

Tujuan dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk mendesain ulang map rekam medis ditinjau dari aspek anatomi (dari segi heading, introduction, instruction, body dan close) fisik (warna, bahan, ukuran dan bentuk), dan aspek isi (kelengkapan butir data, terminology, singkatan, symbol) di Puskesmas Medan Medan Johor. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara diketahui bahwa dari aspek isi, pada formulir rekam medis pasien rawat jalan lembar kolom belum sesuai sehingga dalam pengisian sering melewati batas kolom. Dari aspek anatomi, bagian nomor rekam medis dan nama pasien belum tercantum pada setiap lembar dokumen rekam medis. Nomor halaman atau kode formulir juga belum tercantum dalam setiap formulir rekam medis. Apabila formulir rekam medis tersebut hilang akan mengakibatkan formulir tidak dapat diketahui. Sebagai solusi dari permasalahan di atas, maka penyajian desain formulir baru sangat tepat untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Metode pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang digunakan adalah pendidikan masyarakat dan konsultasi. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan selama 1 bulan. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah sebuah produk berupa map (folder) rekam medis di Puskesmas Medan Medan Johor.

Abstract

ARI (Acute Respiratory Infection) is a common disease in the community, especially infants and children caused by rhinoviruses, RSV, adenovirus, influenza virus or parainfluenza virus. Most people do not know what are the symptoms arising from ARI suffered by children. Pediatricians have data on the symptoms caused by ARI, with which the data can identify the child's disease. However, the public must go to the doctor first to find out what ARI diseases are suffered by children based on the symptoms felt. Checking the symptoms of ARI disease is diagnosed directly by the medical party, namely the doctor by recording and analyzing manually. With conditions like this, of course, there are many obstacles that do not even rule out the possibility of different diagnoses of diseases experienced by patients. The expert system that will be built is intended to make it easier for someone to diagnose ARI disease by adopting human knowledge into the computer system so that the expert system is able to solve existing problems. This study aims to diagnose ARI in children using the certainty factor method based on the symptoms felt and find a solution or obtain confidence in the percentage of the disease suffered. The expert system is created by utilizing PHP and MySQL programming languages as databases. Data collection was carried out starting in August 2022, followed by data processing and analysis. The sample in this study was patients with ARI disease in children at RSU Imelda Pekerja Indonesia Medan. The sampling technique in this study is purpose sampling. Statistical analysis used one sample T-test. The targeted output is scientific publication in nationally accredited journals. TKT research proposed is as a technological research or experiment from existing theories in diagnosing ARI disease in children based on websites.

Abstract

Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) at Imelda Pekerja Indonesia General Hospital has been in place since 2015; however, the system has not yet been utilized as the primary source for data processing.Reporting staff sometimes still process data manually collected from each service unit.External reports are mandatory reports submitted by every hospital to the Health Office. Internal reports are used for the hospital’s internal purposes.The implementation method of this community service activity consisted of socialization on the utilization of SIRS for data processing, reviewing the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Reporting and creating a checklist of data requirements for reports.The socialization was provided to all 16 medical record officers in the Medical Records Unit using discussion, lecture, and question-and-answer methods. The results of this activity are expected to improve the staff’s knowledge regarding the utilization of HMIS for data processing in reports at hospital.This activity was successfully carried out due to the cooperation and support of all implementing team members and hospital team.However, the common obstacles faced by staff include network and application disruptions, which hinder the data processing for hospital reporting. Therefore, improving network stability within the system is necessary to ensure that the reporting process can run more effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

Knowledge is the result of the act of knowing, occurring after an individual perceives a specific object through the human senses—namely sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch. The majority of human knowledge is acquired through the eyes and ears. This study aims to determine the level of knowledge among medical coders regarding disease coding for the cardiovascular system based on ICD-10 at RSU Imelda Pekerja Indonesia in 2024. A qualitative research method with a descriptive approach was employed. The study involved five subjects (informants). Data collection techniques included observation and interviews guided by an interview protocol. Regarding educational background, all participating coders shared the same qualification: a Diploma III (D-III) in Medical Record and Health Information Management (RMIK). Coders with more than five years of experience demonstrated superior knowledge compared to those with less than five years of experience; this was particularly true for coders who had previously worked in registration and analysis departments, as their experience in the analysis section provided them with familiarity regarding the content of medical records. The study concludes that educational background does not directly influence coding accuracy at RSU Imelda Pekerja Indonesia, as all participating coders held the same educational qualification (D-III RMIK).
