Abstract

Background: The Covid-19 pandemic caused changes in health services, especially Antenatal Care (ANC)because pregnant women are at risk of contracting Covid-19 so telehealth is one of the methods developedto make ANC more effective and efficient. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between telehealthduring pregnancy on knowledge and mental health of postpartum mothersMethods : The research method uses a case-control where there are two groups of samples. The case groupconsisted of 30 postpartum mothers who received telehealth (routine online monitoring and counseling)during pregnancy, while the control group consisted of 27 postpartum mothers who did not receivetelehealth during pregnancy. Samples were taken using a random sampling technique with inclusion criteriaare postpartum mothers who received online monitoring and counseling during pregnancy routinely byvolunteer mothers. The exclusion criteria were postpartum mothers who did not routinely receive onlinemonitoring and counselling. Statistical analysis used Wilcoxon Mann Whitney, Chi-Square, and FisherExact tests.Conclusions:The telehealth has influenced the maternal knowledge but it will necessary to develop atelehealth strategy that contribute to the mental health of mother during the postpartum period.

Abstract

Tujuan program pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk membekali siswa SMP di kelurahan Bangsalsari kecamatan Bangsalsari kabupaten Jember tentang pengetahuan mengenai kesehatan reproduksi agar remaja putri akan lebih siap untuk menghadapi masa dewasa dan untuk mengurangi frekuensi pernikahan dini. Metode yang dilakukan adalah, penyuluhan reproduksi remaja, pelatihan dan pendampingan kader kesehatan. Hasil kegiatan adalah para remaja telah mampu mempraktekkan pengetahuannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari untuk menjaga kesehatan reproduksinya dan sebagai pioner pada lingkungan sekitar maupun adik kelas mereka serta telah terbentuknya kader kesehatan reproduksi remaja putri. Kata kunci—kader kesehatan, pioneer siswa, reproduksi remaja. Abstract The purpose of this community service program is to equip Junior High School students in the Bangsalsari village, Bangsalsari sub-district, Jember Regency about knowledge about health, so that young women will be better prepared for the future and to multiply early marriages. The method used is youth counseling, training and health cadre assistance. Abstract

Adolescence is an important stage the girl’s life which the crucial developmental reproductive such as menstruation and pubertal occur. The peer nowadays has a crucial role in determining the proper health reproductive knowledge due to the lack of information from the family and education system. This study aimed to observe the effectiveness of the trained peer educator compared to the expert educator in delivering reproductive health knowledge. The study was using pre - and post - intervention (quasi - experimental) design. The sample taken by random sampling with the pretest and posttest questionnaire was applied to 98 female students aged 12 to 15 at traditional Islamic boarding school in Sidoarjo, East Java. The participants consisting of 49 students were exposed by the trained peer educator compare to 49 students in which exposed by expert.  Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test indicated the significant difference between pretest-posttest in the group were exposed by the trained peer compared by the expert (p=0,001). The Mann Whitney Test indicate there was no significant difference of reproductive health knowledge (p=0,718) between posttest between two groups. In conclusion, the information given by the trained peer educator as effective as the information given by the expert and significantly improved the adolescents' reproductive health knowledge. Therefore, designing the trained peer approach to increase adolescent reproductive health is effective to structure.

Abstract

The WHO's declaration of COVID-19 as a pandemic has so many effects on global sectors and systems such as the health system, the agricultural sector, manufacturing, and the socio-economic system. The government faces major challenges in dealing with the virus and adopting new policies to achieve maximum results under intense pressure during a pandemic. One of the sectors affected by the COVID-19 pandemic is the education sector. The impact of COVID-19 on the global education system affects all areas of teaching, research and services. Like-wise with Indonesia which has implemented the PSBB so that it houses all its students and replaces learning from offline to online. Elementary and junior high school students in Karangan, Surabaya have a problem, namely the lack of awareness of students regarding the importance of learning English so that the English Class Conversation (ECC) program was initiated face-to-face but still following the COVID-19 protocol system. Community service activities held using interactive learning methods in the form of 30% of  the presenters and 70% of the participants. This activity was carried out for 3 weeks with 29 participants which belonged to a small group. The results obtained were that the participants had high motivation in taking part in learning English as evidenced by field data, namely 16 participants who got a B grade, meaning that the participants had high self-confidence when speaking English and could participate in learning well so that it meant that the ECC program was successful held in Karangan.AbstrakDeklarasi WHO terhadap COVID-19 sebagai pandemi memiliki begitu banyak efek kepada sektor dan sistem global seperti sistem kesehatan, sektor agrikultur, manufaktur, dan sistem socio-economic. Pemerintah menghadapi tantangan besar dalam menangani virus serta mengadopsi kebijakan baru untuk mencapai hasil yang maksimal dibawah tekanan kuat di masa pandemi. Salah satu sektor yang berimbas akibat pandemi COVID-19 adalah sektor pendidikan. Dampak COVID-19 pada sistem pendidikan global mempengaruhi semua bidang  pengajaran, penelitian, dan  layanan. Begitu  juga  dengan  Indonesia  yang  telah  menerapkan PSBB sehingga merumahkan seluruh siswanya dan mengganti pembelajaran dari luring ke daring. Pelajar SD dan SMP di Kampung Karangan, Surabaya memiliki permasalahan yaitu kurangnya kesadaran pelajar terkait pentingnya mempelajari bahasa inggris sehingga tercetus program English Class Conversation (ECC) yang dilaksanakan dengan tatap muka namun tetap mengikuti sistem protokol COVID-19. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang diadakan menggunakan metode pembelajaran yang interaktif berupa 30% dari pemateri dan 70% dari partisipan. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan selama 3 minggu dengan 29 partisipan dimana tergolong pada kelompok kecil. Hasil yang  didapatkan  yaitu  peserta  memiliki  motivasi  tinggi  dalam  mengikuti  pembelajaran  bahasa  inggris dibuktikan dengan data lapangan yaitu 16 peserta yang mendapatkan nilai B dengan arti peserta memiliki kepercayaan diri yang tinggi saat berbicara bahasa inggris serta dapat mengikuti pembelajaran dengan baik sehingga dapat diartikan bahwa program ECC telah berhasil dilaksanakan pada Kampung Karangan.

Abstract

Pada kondisi normal kesehatan ibu dan anak di Indonesia masih menjadi tantangan besar dan diperberat dengan adanya pandemi Covid-19 yang berlangsung sejak bulan Maret 2020 yang berdampak pada adanya batasan dalam hal akses dan kualitas pelayanan. Kekhawatiran yang muncul karena batasan ini adalah adanya peningkatan morbiditas dan mortalitas Ibu dan anak serta penurunan cakupan pelayanan KIA. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan secara daring dan luring dengan tetap menjaga ketat protokol kesehatan. Kegiatan yang dilakukan secara daring yaitu Pelatihan Kader Posyandu Ibu-Balita tentang Perencanaan Persalinan dan Pelatihan Kader Posyandu Ibu-Balita tentang Stimulasi Pertumbuhan, sedangkan kegiatan yang dilakukan secara luring adalah Pelatihan Kader Posyandu Ibu-Balita tentang Optimalisasi Kehamilan dan Pendampingan Ibu Hamil. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang telah dilakukan berhasil menaikkan pengetahuan ibu. Hal yang paling berpengaruh dalam kegiatan ini kondisi pandemi yang tidak terduga membuat program pengmas harus lebih fleksibel menyesuaikan situasi dan prioritas keamanan bagi para pelaksana pengmas, sehingga direnacakan untuk kegiatan tindak lanjut berupa pendampingan yang akan dilanjutkan oleh mahasiswa prodi kebidanan dengan pengawasan oleh dosen dan bidan wilayah setempat.

Abstract

Menarche is the first monthly cycle in early adolescence. To face menarche, young women need mental and physical preparation. There are several factors that influence the preparation for menarche, one of which is information on reproductive health. The level of reproductive health information will affect the preparation and behavior of young women in facing their first monthly cycle. This research was conducted so as not to cause adverse effects on young women who are facing menarche. This review aims to show the relationship between the level of information about reproductive health with menarche readiness in adolescent girls aged 10-14 years. This study is an in-depth observational study with a cross-sectional examination plan. The number of research subjects was 104 young women aged 10-14 years who had experienced menarche at SDN Mandesan 02 and SMPN 1 Selopuro. The information collected has been tested with the factual Fisher Exact Test. The results showed that almost all respondents (97.1%) had good information. most respondents (96.9%) who are ready to face menarche have good information and all respondents (100%) who are not ready to face menarche have good information and all respondents (100%) who are not ready to face menarche have good information about reproduction health. Conclusion: there is no relationship between the level of knowledge about the welfare of conception with menarche preparation in early adolescence.

Abstract

LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Biseksual, dan Transgender) merupakan sebuah fenomena yang tengah marak di Indonesia. Fenomena tersebut dianggap bertentangan dengan nilai-nilai pancasila dan kepribadian serta jati diri bangsa Indonesia. Data Kemenkes pada tahun 2012, terdapat 1.095.970 pelaku LGBT baik yang tampak maupun tidak, lebih dari lima persennya mengidap HIV. Pergerakan LGBT tersebut dilakukan secara sistematis dan menyasar hampir semua kalangan umur. Penyebaran ide LGBT mulanya menyasar kaum intelektual, kemudian masuk ke wilayah kampus, lalu turun ke siswa-siswi SMA, dan kemudian merambah ke siswa-siswi SD. Anak-anak khususnya yang berada pada rentang prapubertas menjadi lebih rentan karena masih berada dalam masa kritis pembentukan konsep diri. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, diperlukan adanya upaya preventif yang ditujukan pada anak prapubertas untuk membentuk pemahaman yang benar sehingga dapat mencegah bertambahnya korban penyimpangan LGBT di Indonesia. Sarana edukasi melalui pop up dengan konten pengenalan organ reproduksi, ciri-ciri pubertas, pencegahan kekerasan termasuk seksual, dan informasi seputar kesehatan reproduksi yang diintegrasikan dengan pendekatan agama menjadi salah satu upaya preventif untuk mencegah penyimpangan LGBT pada anak prapubertas. Selain itu, keberadaan bidan sebagai pendamping selama siklus kehidupan perempuan juga memiliki peranan penting dalam memperkuat seorang perempuan sebagai ibu untuk senantiasa menanamkan pemahaman yang benar berkaitan dengan kesehatan reproduksi salah satunya dengan memanfaatkan sarana edukasi pop up pada anak prapubertas.

Abstract

AbstrakLatar Belakang: Menurut UNICEF, setiap lima kelahiran bayi terdapat satu bayi lahir dari ibu dengan usia dibawah 19 tahun. Kehamilan pada remaja usia 15-19 tahun di negara berkembang mencapai angka 21 juta. Kehamilan remaja merupkan masalah yang tersebar di seluruh dunia dan berdampak terhadap kesehatan ibu dan anak. (Mukhopadhyay, 2010), secara luas kematian yang disebabkan oleh kehamilan merupakan penyebab utama kematian anak perempuan usia 15-19 tahun (WHO, 2017). Remaja memiliki risiko komplikasi kehamilan yang tinggi, salah satunya adalah persalinan prematur,  IUGR dan pre-eklamsia. (Baker, 2007).Terjadi peningkatan risiko komplikasi sebesar 2 kali lipat pada kehamilan remaja dibandingkan kehamilan pada wanita usia 20-an (Utomo I. D., 2013), Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari hubungan kehamilan remaja dengan komplikasi kehamilan dan persalinan. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analitik observasional dengan pendekatan retrospektif cross sectional dengan jumlah sampel 40 dan diambil dengan teknik cosecutive sampling. Hasil: Komplikasi pada kehamilan remaja mencapai 60%. Hasil analisis hubungan kehamilan remaja dengan komplikasi kehamilan (p value= 0,0100 OR = 6), anemia ( p value 0,013 OR=7,364), defisiensi gizi p value=0,400), prekalmisa/eklamsia (p value =0,300), komplikasi persalinan (p value =1,000), persalinan SC (p value=1,000) dan KPD (p value =1,000). Kesimpulan: Pada penelitian ini kehamilan remaja berpengaruh pada komplikasi kehamilan dengan penyulit  dominan anemia dan tidak berpengaruh pada komplikasi persalinan.AbstractBackgrounds: According to UNICEF, every five babies born there is one baby born to a mother under the age of 19 years. Pregnancy in adolescents aged 15-19 years in developing countries reaches 21 million. Teenage pregnancy was a problem that spread throughout the world and had an impact on maternal and child health. (Mukhopadhyay, 2010), widely deaths caused by pregnancy are the main cause of death for girls aged 15-19 years (WHO, 2017). Adolescents had a high risk of pregnancy complications, one of which is premature labor, IUGR and pre-eclampsia. (Baker, 2007). There has been a 2-fold increase in the risk of complications in adolescent pregnancies versus pregnancies in women in their 20s (Utomo I. D., 2013). Methods: This study were observational analytic method with a retrospective cross sectional approach with 40 samples and was taken by cosecutive sampling technique. Results: Complications in adolescent pregnancy reach 60%. The results of the analysis of the relationship of adolescent pregnancies with complications of pregnancy showed (p value= 0,0100 OR = 6), anemia ( p value 0,013 OR=7,364), nutritional deficiency (p value=0,400), preeclampsia/eclampsia (p value =0,300), labor complications (p value =1,000), sectio caesaria (p value=1,000) dan premature rupture of membrane (p value =1,000)

Abstract

Abstrak Latar Belakang :Menarke merupakan kondisi fisiologis berupa menstruasi pertama yang dialami perempuan. Kurangnya pengetahuan mengenai menarke berdampak pada ketidaksiapan dalam menghadapi menarke.  Pendidikan kesehatan reproduksi dengan media yang sesuai dapat menjadi upaya meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang menarke. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan pengaruh pemberian media buku pop-up dan leaflet terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan tentang menarke pada anak perempuan usia pubertas awal. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan jenis kuasi experimental dengan pendekatan pretest-post test control group design. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 44 anak perempuan usia pubertas awal yang terbagi kedalam kelompok dengan intervensi media buku pop-up dan kelompok dengan intervensi media leaflet. Pengukuran pengetahuan tentang menarke menggunakan kuesioner pre-test dan post-test. Hasil: Uji Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test data pretest-postest pengetahuan pada kelompok yang diberi media leaflet (p=0,001) dan pretest-postest kelompok yang diberi media leaflet (p=0,001). Uji Mann Whitney U-Test data postest kelompok buku pop-up dan kelompok leaflet (p=0.002) (p < 0,05). Kesimpulan: Buku pop-up merupakan media yang lebih efektif dari leaflet untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang menarke pada anak perempuan usia pubertas awal .Abstract Background: Menarche is physiological condition, the first menstruation that happen to women. Lack of knowledge can lead to unreadiness menstrual behaviour. Menstrual education by using visual media can be useful to increase menarche knowlede. This study aims to compare educational media of pop-up book and leaflet to increasing knowledge about menarche. Methods: The type of research was quasi experiment using pretest-posttest group design. The samples taken from 44 female students of SDN Banjarejo I dan II Bojonegoro. Samples consisting of 22 students as leaflet group  and 22 students as pop-up book group. Method of measuring knowledge using pretest and postest questionnaire. Result: Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test indicate there was significant difference between pretest-posttest leaflet group (p=0,001) and pretest-postest pop-up book group (p=0,001). The result of Mann Whitney U-Test indicate there was significant difference of knowledge (p=0,002) beetween postest leaflet group and postest pop-up book group. Conclusion: The conclusion of this study was the pop-up book was found more effective than leaflet in improving menarche knowledge

Abstract

AbstractBackground: The menstrual cycle can be said to be normal if the interval is between 21-35 days. The prevalence rates associated with menstrual cycle disorders were found in the range of 15.8-89.5. Nutritional status is one of the factors that cause menstrual cycle disorders, where nutritional status can be determined using body mass index and measuring the percentage of fat in the body. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between nutritional status and the menstrual cycle using the literature review method. The formulation of the problem in this research is determined by PICO, namely: "is there a relationship between nutritional status and menstrual cycle disorders?". A total of 749 literary works obtained from the Google Scholar, Science Direct, PubMed and ProQuest databases were used as a literature review source, where in screening the literature the inclusion and exclusion criteria were seen, which had previously been determined so that finally six literatures were reviewed. Results: The cause of menstrual cycle disorders has been found in adolescents with an average value of 18.4-37.8 and the percentage of body fat between 12.80-34.80. Conclusion: Based on all literature that has been reviewed, it can be concluded that menstrual cycle disorders have a significant relationship with body mass index and body fat percentage.
