Abstract

Diskusi tentang kesetaraan antara pria dan wanita dari zaman pra-Islam hingga Islam datang terus menjadi perbicangan serius. Dalam Islam, salah satu yang memantik diskusi tersebut adalah kajian atas kata nafs wahidah perihal asal usul penciptaan wanita, yang tersebut dalam QS. al-Nisa’ (4): 1, QS. al-Nisa’ (4): 41, QS. al-A’raf (7): 189, QS. al-Nahl (16): 72, QS. al-Rum (30): 21, QS. al-Zumar (39): 6, dan QS. al-Syura (42): 11. Beberapa ayat-ayat tentang nafs wahidah ini yang dalam pembahasan artikel ini disebut dengan “ayat-ayat kesetaraan” karena menjadi dalil kesetaraan gender antara pria dan wanita. Dari kata nafs wahidah, mufassir klasik cenderung memaknainya bahwa wanita diciptakan dari tulang rusuk pria yang pada akhirnya berimplikasi pada ketimpangan gender. Seiring berjalannya waktu, mufassir dan tokoh modern menggugat terhadap penafsiran mufassir klasik, termasuk di antaranya Zaitunah Subhan yang menjadi fokus penelitian ini. Akan hal itu, penelitian ini ingin menjawab sebuah pertanyaan; bagaimana penafsiran Zaitunah Subhan atas ayat-ayat kesetaraan dalam al-Qur’an?. sebagai langkah metodis, artikel ini menggunakan metode analisis diskriptif dengan bertumpu pada kajian pustaka (library reseach). Pada akhirnya, penelitian ini menghasilkan sebuah kesimpulan bahwa Zaitunah Subhan memaknai kata nafs wahidah bukanlah Adam (pria) tapi lebih tepatnya adalah “diri yang satu” di mana Hawa (wanita) juga diciptakan darinya. Tidak ada perbedaan antara keduanya kecuali tingkat ketakwaan yang dimilikinya.

Abstract

The main problem of humans in the process of meeting their needs lies in their ability to improve a better standard of living. This problem is more rooted in human consciousness to encourage themselves to be more productive in living life. In the context of Islamic societies, the most effective way of encouraging them to improve their standard of living is by using religious argumentations, particularly the Qur'an. The Qur'an contains a set of rules that explain how a person can enhance his quality of life. By using the al-Farmawi thematic method and the hermeneutics of liberation, this study revealed that an improvement in work ethic is needed to improve a better standard of living. The enhancement of work ethic can be actualized when humans realize their self essences and the essence of God's creation. To gain the self essence is by raising awareness that God, through his generosity, has given each person livelihood since the beginning of creation. Humans' assignment is only to obtain the livelihood in the right ways. This belief makes them not to be ambitious in working while their self essences can awaken humans to be always proportional in their work and can understand the given rules. The basis of theological liberation in the Qur'an does not only take place in one broad social community but also in every individual through awareness of the meaning of various symbols given by God. This then can lead people to a more decent level of life applied to work productivity.

Abstract

The Qur’an plays an important role in the life of Muslims. In daily life, Muslims cannot be separated from interaction with the Qur’an. Therefore, the interaction was well received by the community, not least in Sentulan Village, Banyuanyar District, Probolinggo Regency, East Java. The acceptance of the Sentulan Village community towards the Qur’an is manifested in a tradition, which is what Ustadz Ali Fiqri did by using the verses of the Qur’an as a medium of treatment, which later became the focus of this research. This research uses qualitative methods and is included in field research. The approach used is a phenemological approach, which aims to reveal the meaning inherent in the reception of the Qur’an by the community in Sentulan Village. Collecting data through literature and interviews with Ustadz Ali Fiqri and patients. The final results of this study indicate that the traditional treatment carried out by Ustadz Ali Fiqri in Sentulan Village, both medical and non-medical diseases, using the media of bidara leaves, coconut, turmeric, garlic, water and eggs and reading the verses of the Qur’an that then termed the verses of syifa’. The syifa’ verses in question are (Q.S. Al-Fatihah (1): 1-7, Q.S. Al-Baqarah (2): 102, Q.S. Yunus (10) 81, Q.S. Jin (72): 3, Q.S. Al-Hasyar (59): 21, Q.S. Al-Syu’ara’ (26): 51, and Q.S. Yasin (36)).

Abstract

Social media is an inseparable part of today’s global society. It becomes a very effective instrument in shaping a dynamic society. The convenience it offers makes people more responsible for complete information. There, people find many things and learn in many ways as well. Its presence facilitates all forms of social interaction in the virtual world. However, on the one hand, this convenience turned out to be an anomaly, including the rampant phenomenon of cyberbullying, which is like a form of virtual world crime, even if only in verbal form, such as bullying, body shaming, toxic people, cancel culture, hate-speech, and fake-news. In the Qur’an, this phenomenon’s characteristics have existed and been discussed. However, in responding to this phenomenon, few still present religion (the Qur’an) as a solution perspective. By applying qualitativedescriptive methods and thematic approaches, this study tries to present relevant verses with asbab al-nuzul, which will later be able to find solutions to the cyberbullying phenomenon so that awareness and ethics in social media can be created. Abstract

Sexual violence often occurs to this day, and efforts to resolve and suppress the number of sexual violence through studies and research embodied in various topics continue to be carried out as a form of responsiveness to the issue of gender-based inequality of justice. This study aims to find out the resolution of issues around gender through the relationship between the concepts of mubadalah and maqashidi interpretation. The model of reading texts with mutuality (mubadalah), which is then compared with the maqashidi-based interpretation style as a promoter of benefit, the relationship between these two studies is considered to be able to respond to the issue of inequality of justice in the context of sexual violence. This study uses qualitative methods and library research. Based on this research, it can be concluded that interpreting maqashid al-syari'ah review as a philosophical basis which is then compared with the performance steps of the concept of interpretation mubadalah is to give birth to maqashid al-Qur'an, which puts forward mashalih lil anam (benefit to the all human beings) can rectify pragmatic hegemony regarding the issue of violence against women.

Abstract

The Qur’an is a dialogue partner in solving various problems in people's lives and can present various traditions, as in the appreciation of the people of Sidomukti Subdistrict, Kraksaan District, Probolinggo Regency in using the Ayat Kursi in the rain charmer tradition. This research aims to discuss the phenomenon of the living Qur’an using the Ayat Kursi in the raining tradition in Sidomukti as a means of moving rain when carrying out a celebration event. The main problem in this paper is: that the endeavour to ask God for protection so that it is kept away from various disasters does not mean refusing rain. The formulation of the problem in this paper is: how is the use of Ayat Kursi against the raining tradition and the response of the Sidomukti people to this tradition? This study uses a qualitative-descriptive research type from observation and interview data, which is then analyzed using the library research method. The results of this study know that; 1) the use of Ayat Kursi in the tradition of rain charmer in Sidomukti is an effort to move the rain not to contain elements of polytheism or contrary to Islamic teachings because from the start of its implementation, only came from the elements of trust (worship) to Allah and tawasul to Rasulullah with incense media, and 2) the use of Ayat Kursi in the rain charmer tradition in Sidomukti is a form of a community initiative to move the rain when the event is in progress.

Abstract

Throughout the history of the Quran, the reception of the Quranic text and hadith by humanity has continued to evolve and has not always been the same in every time and place. The response and reaction of people to the Quran vary greatly, and one of them is the practice of treating toothache using Quranic verses and a nail as a tool in the village of Tobungan, Galis District, Pamekasan Regency, Madura. This shows that the Quran is not only a routine reading for Muslims during worship, but it can also be applied for healing purposes. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method, living Quran analysis, religious psychological approach, and interview, observation, and literature techniques. The study shows that Q.S. Al-Fatihah is positioned by some of the community members in Tobungan Village, Galis District, Pamekasan Regency, Madura as a verse that has magical power and can be used as a healing tool with additional rituals and equipment, such as nails and paper. This study concludes that the Quran is not only a religious text to be read during worship, but it also has healing value. Living Quran practices such as treating toothache with Quranic verses and nails in the village of Tobungan, Galis District, Pamekasan Regency, Madura demonstrate changes in people's response and reaction to the Quran over time and place. This study provides an overview of how the value of the Quran can change and be interpreted by the community according to their context and needs. Abstrak: Dalam perjalanan sejarah Al-Qur’an, penerimaan teks Al-Quran dan hadis oleh umat manusia terus berkembang dan tidak selalu sama di setiap waktu dan tempat. Respons dan tanggapan masyarakat terhadap Al-Quran sangat beragam dan salah satunya adalah praktik pengobatan sakit gigi dengan menggunakan ayat Al-Qur’an dan media paku di Desa Tobungan Kecamata Galis Kabupaten Pamekasan Madura. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa Al-Quran tidak hanya sebagai rutinitas bacaan umat muslim ketika beribadah, namun juga bisa diaplikasikan sebagai pengobatan. Kajian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, analisa living Qur’an, pendekatan psikologis religious, dan teknik wawancara, observasi dan pustaka. Kajian menunjukkan bahwa Q.S. Al-Fatihah oleh sebagian masyarakat Desa Tobungan Kecamatan Galis Kabupaten Pamekasan Madura diposisikan sebagai ayat yang memiliki kekuatan magis yang bisa menjadi media pengobatan dengan ritual dan perlengkapan tambahan berupa paku dan kertas. Kajian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Al-Quran tidak hanya sebagai teks keagamaan untuk dibaca dalam rutinitas ibadah, tetapi juga memiliki nilai pengobatan. Praktik living Quran seperti pengobatan sakit gigi dengan ayat Al-Quran dan media paku di Desa Tobungan Kecamata Galis Kabupaten Pamekasan Madura menunjukkan perubahan respons dan tanggapan masyarakat terhadap Al-Quran seiring waktu dan tempat. Studi ini memberikan gambaran bagaimana nilai Al-Quran bisa berubah dan diinterpretasikan oleh masyarakat sesuai dengan konteks dan kebutuhan mereka.

Abstract

This article is motivated by the worrying reality of human life and requires a deeper understanding in rectifying people's perspectives on achieving prosperity and a peaceful life. This is the reason for the author to re-analyze the concept of a peaceful life which has been linked in the Qur'an and has been elaborated by many mufassir through his works. Especially in Tafsir Al-Misbah by M. Quraish Shihab of surah Al-Insyirah. This surah is well-known as a surah that provides guidance in dealing with various problems in life in general, in fact the sura was revealed regarding the success of the Prophet Muhammad in facing obstacles from infidels, then the ease and ease he obtained after he experienced victory in completing orders from Allah SWT. This study is qualitative in nature, sourced from the literature by using analytical descriptive writing methods. The research analysis uses the Ijmali interpretation method. As a result, the authors suggest to increase faith by getting to know Allah SWT further so that Allah will bestow the welfare that is expected of mankind.
