Abstract

This study aims to determine the application methods play a role to improve Theory of Mind (TOM) to preschoolers. The study involved subjects were 32 children in kindergarten Bina Anak Sholeh (BAS) Tuban by dividing into two groups: the experimental group and the control group. The age range of children involved in the study ranging from 49-62 months of age. The average age of children was 54.9 months with comparison subjects by sex is a tad as many as 17 people (53%) while girls of 15 people (47%). Methods of data collection theory of mind to use the test consisted of 10 item question and measurement refers to the theories Wellman and Liu are the aspects of false belief includes the diverse desires, diverse belief, knowledge access, contents false belief, explicit false belief, belief emotion, and real-apparent emotion. Before the test the validity of data analysis based on professional judgment and item discrimination power of test results, while Test reliabilias using Cronbach's alpha with SPSS 22:00. The results showed that there was an increase in the ability of theory of mind in children of preschool age through methods play a role. This is indicated by an increase in theory of mind abilities score of 77% with the strong category.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of developing social skills for children with special needs in order to be able to interact with others in socially acceptable ways and bring benefits for themselves and others. The purpose of the research is to develop the social skills of the children with special needs through the method of playing cooperatively in the ECD institutions that organize inclusive education. The research approach used is quantitative with quasi experimental research type with nonrandomized design pretest-posttest control group design. Methods of collecting social skills data using observational checklists and rating scales referring to the Guttman scale. ABK's social skills are measured using 5 (five) dimensions of Caldarella and Merrel that are relationships with peers, self-management, academic ability, compliance, and assertive behavior. Before the data analysis is done the validity test and relay test first. Test Validity based on judgment expert, while Test reliability using Cronbach's Alpha with SPSS 22.00. Analysis of previous social skill data should be tested for normality by using one sample kolmogorov-smirnov test and homogeneity test by conducting F test. Hypothesis testing is performed after the two data tests yield normal and homogeneous distributed data, then the data is analyzed by using independent sample t-test .

Abstract

This study aims to develop a center and circle learning model based on inclusive education in the form of learning modules that can be applied by teachers in kindergarten. This research was conducted to overcome the problems that arise, namely misinterpretation (wrong perception) towards the implementation of inclusive education. Therefore, a development of learning models is needed so that the goals of inclusive education can be achieved. Development of this learning model uses steps proposed by Borg & Gall. The research subjects were 5 kindergartens with 30 teachers as respondents. The instrument of data collection is an observation sheet that includes four dimensions, namely the feasibility of content, language, presentation, and graphics. Furthermore, the data analysis technique was obtained from the calculation of the percentage of the score of the observation sheet which then the results of these percentages were categorized based on criteria namely very weak, weak, sufficient, strong, and very strong. Based on the results of the analysis obtained content eligibility data of 70.8% with a strong category, language validation of 75.6% with a strong category, for presentation validation of 72.8% with a strong category, while for graphic validation is 76.4% with a strong category. This means that learning modules designed for center learning and inclusive education-based circles are classified as good / decent learning tools.

Abstract

Pengembangan Media Puzzle Stick dipilih oleh peneliti karena kurangnya media dalam mengenalkan angka pada anak. Penyebabnya anak tidak tertarik pada pembelajaran dan pembelajaran kurang menantang bagi anak. Pengenalan lambang bilangan angka 1-10 pada anak dapat dilakukan melalui media yang menarik perhatian anak. Pemilihan media yang tepat dapat mempengaruhi pemahaman anak terhadap apa yang dipelajari. Objek pada penelitian ini adalah media Puzzle Stick. Untuk menentukan kelayakan media puzzle stick yang dikembangkan data yang dihasilkan analisis dengan menggukan kriteria yang telah ditentukan. Hasil dari validasi produk yang dilakukan oleh ahli media didapatkan presentase sebesar 72,3%. Serta penilaian dari ahli materi didapatkan persentase sebesar 79,8% . Sehingga media puzzle stick Layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran mengenal angka.
