Abstract

Perkembangan usaha rumah makan cepat saji di Kota Pontianak berdampak pada menurunnya kualitas perairan. Penyebabnya adalah pembuangan limbah cair ke badan air tanpa pengolahan terlebih dahulu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengolah limbah cair rumah makan cepat saji menggunakan metode filtrasi berbahan dasar coco fiber. Coco fiber dikarakterisasi menggunakan metode SEM dan FTIR. Spektra FTIR coco fiber menunjukkan puncak serapan pada bilangan gelombang 3159-3576 cm-1 yang dimiliki oleh gugus fungsi –OH. Dua puncak yang juga menonjol di daerah bilangan gelombang 2800-2924 cm-1diduga adalah regang C–H alifatik dari kelompok metil dan metilen dari lignin serbuk coco fiber. Penelitian dilakukan dengan membuat purwarupa alat pengolah limbah cair berskala laboratorium dengan 2 unit filter yaitu coco fiber dan kombinasi arang aktif-pasir-coco fiber-kerikil. Pengujian dilakukan dengan metode pre-test dan post-test yaitu pengukuran parameter seperti pH, BOD dan TSS sebelum dan sesudah pengolahan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pengolahan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa limbah cair setelah melalui unit filtrasi mengalami peningkatan pH dari 6,1 menjadi 6,4 untuk sistem coco fiber dan 7,8 untuk  sistem kombinasi arang aktif-pasir-coco fiber-kerikil. Filtrasi menggunakan sistem coco fiber menghasilkan pengurangan BOD 98,58% dan TSS 83,51%. Sedangkan filtrasi menggunakan sistem kombinasi arang aktif-pasir-coco fiber-kerikil menghasilkan pengurangan BOD 78,33% dan TSS 81,19%.

Abstract

Damage to the mangrove forest ecosystem causes the erosion of beach-forming sediments. Mempawah Mangrove Park (MMP) has experienced severe abrasion and this abrasion caused the land around the coast of MMP to be lost in the current. The loss of land was exacerbated by the destruction of mangrove forests, so in 2011 MMP carried out reforestation of mangrove forests to restore the lost land. Planting often fails, where newly planted mangroves die and are lost in sea currents after 1 to 2 months after planting. In 2022 MMP will collaborate with Environmental Engineering Students at Tanjungpura University under the auspices of the Tanjungpura University Laboratory UPT in activities Matching fund to innovate mud-retaining buildings and breakwaters. The building was named Organic Coastal Defence (OCD). The OCD building consists of a mud retaining building (mud trap) and breakwater buildings (breakwater). The materials used are pieces of board, pieces of wood and pieces of bamboo, where the majority of these materials are left over from building construction in MMP. This building was proven to be able to increase the percentage of success in mangrove planting where during the 6 month monitoring period mangroves that were living in good condition reached 50% in mud trap 1 and 58%. on mud trap 2.

Abstract

Sungai Limau Village is a coastal area that is prone to groundwater pollution. The raw water source used by residents comes from groundwater by digging wells of poor quality. This research aims to determine whether there has been contamination of residents' well water in Sungai Limau Village based on testing Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) and Total Suspended Solid (TSS) parameters as well as providing information to residents regarding the appropriate location of wells to be used as a source of raw water. The groundwater sampling method refers to SNI 6989.58:2008 and is taken by Grab Sampling. BOD parameter testing is tested ex-situ in the laboratory in accordance with SNI 6989.72:2009. TSS parameters were tested ex-situ in the laboratory in accordance with SNI 06-6989.3-2004. Then the results of the well water quality test are mapped to the distribution of each parameter. Based on the results of the well water quality test, a value was obtained that exceeded the quality standard according to PP No.22 of 2021 Class 1 for raw water, the Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) parameter with a value of 123,279 mg/L. So the well water of the residents of Sungai Limau Village is not suitable for use as a source of raw water because it has been polluted by organic materials.

Abstract

Perusahaan Umum Daerah (PERUMDA) Air Minum Tirta Muare Ulakan merupakan usaha milik daerah yang bergerak dalam penyediaan distribusi air bersih bagi masyarakat di Kabupaten Sambas. SPAM IKK Teluk Keramat hanya melayani 0,046% dari 75.773 jiwa penduduk di Kecamatan Teluk Keramat. Tujuan dari perencanaan ini adalah merencanakan pengembangan jaringan distribusi air bersih pada wilayah distribusi SPAM IKK Teluk Keramat. Tahapan analisis data dimulai dari analisis kebutuhan air bersih saat ini. Analisis jaringan distribusi menggunakan software  Epanet 2.2 dengan dua simulasi. Simulasi pertama menggunakan data eksisting serta dilakukan perluasan jaringan, dan simulasi kedua dilakukan perbaikan jaringan pada simulasi pertama. Air yang akan didistribusikan adalah sebesar 35 liter/detik. Jenis pipa yang digunakan adalah Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) dengan diameter sebesar 100 mm sepanjang 3.385 m dan diameter 75 mm sepanjang 1.729 m. Pada running  kedua Epanet 2.2 dilakukan perbaikan jaringan dengan menambahkan pompa dan mengubah diameter pipa. Hasil running  kedua Epanet 2.2 didapatkan nilai pressure  pada daerah terjauh yaitu node  J54 adalah sebesar 20,33 m. Nilai velocity  pada link pipa L53 sebesar 0,57 m/s dan nilai unit headloss  sebesar 11,03 m/km.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini dilakukan untuk memberi solusi alternatif dari persoalan yang dihadapi oleh guru yang mengalami kendala pada penulisan artikel penelitian tindakan kelas dan submit ke jurnal sebagai salah satu syarat dalam mengusulkan kenaikan pangkat. Pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode workshop dan pendampingan penulisan hingga submit ke jurnal, yaitu pengabdi melakukan kegiatan bersama dengan guru mata pelajaran IPA yang tergabung dalam MGMP Kota Pontianak. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan secara luring dan daring. Ada tujuh guru yang mengikuti secara penuh kegiatan ini. Berdasarkan rangkaian kegiatan yang telah dilakukan, guru merasa sangat terbantu dengan kegiatan yang dilakukan, terutama dengan pendampingan penulisan artikel penelitian tindakan kelas dan submit pada jurnal. Pengabdi menemukan, selama ini banyak terdapat guru-guru yang terkendala dalam melakukan penulisan artikel penelitian tindakan kelas dan sumbit pada jurnal dikarenakan kurangnya pelatihan dan pengetahuan tentang penulisan artikel serta submit pada jurnal. Setelah dilakukan workshop dan pendapingan terhadap penulisan artikel penelitian tindakan kelas dan submit pada jurnal empat guru dapat menghasilkan artikel yang ditulis sendiri dan siap submit pada jurnal. PKM Workshop on Writing Classroom Action Research Articles for Teachers This service is carried out to provide alternative solutions to problems faced by teachers who experience problems in writing classroom action research articles and submitting them to journals as one of the requirements in proposing promotions. This service is carried out using the workshop method and writing assistance to submit to journals, where the devotees carry out joint activities with science subject teachers who are members of the Pontianak City MGMP. This activity is carried out offline and online. There were seven teachers who fully participated in this activity. Based on the series of activities that have been carried out, the teacher feels very helpful with the activities carried out, especially by assisting in writing class action research articles and submitting them to journals. The service found that so far there have been many teachers who were constrained in writing class action research articles and sumbits in journals due to lack of training and knowledge about article writing and submitting to journals. After the workshop and mentoring on writing classroom action research articles and submitting them to journals, four teachers can produce articles written by themselves and ready to be submitted to journals.

Abstract

This community service aims to optimize creative potential and improve students' skills in making posters using the Canva application as a digital learning medium in the classroom. The method for implementing this service used workshops and socialization with participants, namely grade 8 students at SMPN 3 Sungai Kakap, Kubu Raya Regency, West Kalimantan. The instrument used at the evaluation stage was an assessment sheet consisting of four criteria and analyzed descriptively. The result of this service activity was an increase in students' understanding and skills in operating the Canva application to create learning posters. This is proven by the poster design made by the students which is good and attractive.
