Abstract

[The NU movement to build a sharia-based economic business has had its ups and downs. This paper aims to reveal the social movement of PCNU Ponorogo in the development of the sharia economy through the establishment of PT. Supermarket Star Works. By a social movement approach, this study finds that the background of the PCNU Ponorogo social movement for economic independence was inspired by the spirit of the mu'assis/NU founders who founded Nahdlatut Tujjar as the basis for the movement and struggle at NU. The social movement was carried out in two stages; framing and mobilization. The framing process started from the existence of a basic idea of economic independence from Rais Syuriah , KH. Imam Sayuti conveyed to the Chair of the PCNU Ponorogo, Fatchul Aziz, and in the next stage, to other NU administrators. Meanwhile, at the mobilization stage, it was carried out by pouring out the idea of economic independence at the Ponorogo PCNU Branch Conference on February 15, 2015, in PP. Darul Huda Mayak Tonatan Ponorogo and Branch I Working Meeting on 15 June 2015 in PP. Al-Islam Joresan Mlarak Ponorogo. This stage in the perspective of social movement theory is known as the stage of formalizing the main ideas of NU Ponorogo's economic independence. Meanwhile, the stage of institutionalizing the idea of NU Ponorogo's economic independence occurred when an economic team was formed to establish Bintang Swalayan. The stages start from selling shares to the grand opening of Bintang Swalayan. Meanwhile, the impact of the social movement on economic independence can be classified into financial and non-financial impacts]

Abstract

The implementation of gender responsive indicators in higher education is still the homework for almost all campuses in Indonesia, including IAIN Ponorogo. In order toward a gender-responsive institution, there need to be stages that must be carried out by the campus. Through SWOT analysis, this article explains the readiness of IAIN Ponorogo to implement the gender responsive indicators in higher education. The four gender responsive indicators analyzed are the gender mainstreaming institution, gender-responsive in education, research and services, gender-responsive governance and budgeting, and a culture of zero tolerance towards men and women. This study utilized primary data in the form of interviews as well as secondary data in the form of gender responsive indicator in higher education, journal articles, regulations, and other relevant sources. This research shows that basically IAIN Ponorogo already has sufficient capital to realize itself as a gender-responsive higher education. If these capitals could not be managed properly by stakeholders, this research found potential obstacles to the realization of IAIN Ponorogo as a gender responsive higher education. Some important opportunities that are not owned by other tertiary institutions but are owned by IAIN Ponorogo are having a female chancellor with a good gender perspective. This condition indicates a sizable opportunity for IAIN Ponorogo to realize itself as a gender-responsive higher education. Keywords: Gender Mainstreaming, Gender Responsive Higher Education, SWOT Analysis. Abstract

: Marriage raises the rights and obligations of husband and wife, but there is a perception of the obligation for the wife to work to provide for the family. The uniqueness is that a wife who doesn't work for a living will get stereotyped by society. The point of the problem is what is the perspective of Imam Shafi'i and liberal feminism regarding the rights and obligations of women as breadwinner wives in the Panjen Complex, Petung Hamlet, Tempuran Village, Sawoo District, Ponorogo Regency. This research is a field research with a qualitative approach. The results of the study concluded: first, according to Imam Shafi'i, the rights of a wife are appropriate, including material maintenance, dowry, and part of spiritual maintenance. The wife's obligations according to Imam Shafi'i, the wife informants had carried out their obligations as wives, namely obeying their husbands and providing services to their husbands. Still, there were discrepancies related to domestic obligations. Second, rights according to liberal feminism, the wife, as a rational being who prioritizes rights over goodness, does not get her right to choose her role (housewife) because she obeys the prestige (compulsion) of the stereotypes that come to her.

Abstract

The Sharia Economic Law Compilation determines that the field of business to be carried out and the distribution of profits between the two parties must be stated clearly and definitely, as well as according to the agreement. In practice, mudarabah financing at BMT Surya Mandiri Capem Jetis only conducts surveys related to customer conditions without surveying the business fields carried out by customers, so the financing is sometimes used for consumptive needs. While profit sharing is considered less clear and definite, where profits should be shared, BMT only determines the percentage of profit itself without determining the percentage of profits that the customer as manager. In this study, the author looks at how KHES reviews the determination of business fields and profit sharing on financing products at BMT Surya Mandiri Sub Branch Jetis. From this research, it can be concluded that determination of business fields by KHES is financing provided to customers for business capital or increasing business capital. The financing is used for productive and profitable business fields. Meanwhile, the business fields not by the KHES are financing provided to meet the consumptive needs of customers, not for the business sector. The capital is used to meet personal needs that are not profitable. Furthermore, BMT only determines the percentage of its profit and includes the number of instalments and customer services each month without determining the percentage of profit that is part of the manager, so it is not by the provisions of KHES.

Abstract

Klepu, a beautiful village at the eastern tip of Ponorogo Regency, has long been known as a model of harmonization between followers of different religions: Islam and Catholicism. However, if we take a closer and deeper look within the Muslim community itself, it turns out that there is quite severe ideological plurality. This research succeeded in capturing this plurality and the reasons behind it. Using a phenomenological approach, this research found that the process of ideological plurality within Klepu Muslims, who initially practiced Javanese Islam and then became diverse ideologies, occurred because of the process of cultural hybridization and diffusion brought by the Indonesian Islamic Da'wah Council (DDII) to the Klepu community. The presence of DDII, which was then followed by other similar preacher groups such as Muhammadiyah, was not value-free. They brought Puritan culture with a spirit of purifying Islam to Klepu. Then, the culture is selected by society so that attitudes of acceptance and rejection emerge to varying degrees. At this stage, the plurality of Klepu Muslim ideology occurred: Some accepted it ultimately, so they became Puritans. Some accept some elements of Puritan culture and reject some, then enter into a dialogue with their culture to produce new cultural entities and ideologies. However, some resist the presence of this new culture and continue to carry out the culture they have been practicing all this time.

Abstract

This article examines the rise of the practice of online marital as a contemporary legal and social phenomenon that challenges the Islamic family legal framework in Indonesia. The main problem in this study is the insynchronization between classical fiqh texts built in a socio-physical context and modern digital reality, where marriage contracts are carried out virtually through bold platforms. This research aims to reinterpret the principles of marriage law, especially related to guardians, witnesses, and the validity of contracts through the hermeneutic approach of Gadamer and Ricoeur. The research method used is normative qualitative by integrating textual analysis of jurisprudence, regulations, and recent court decisions with a hermeneutic approach. The findings of the study show that online serial marriage poses significant legal risks, especially in terms of guardianship verification, witness validity, and certainty of the legal status of women and children. Hermeneutic analysis shows that a reinterpretation of the context of classical legal texts is necessary to safeguard maqāṣid al-syarī'ah, in particular the protection of nasab, rights, and legal security. This study concludes that marriage registration by the state is not just administrative, but a legal mechanism needed to ensure justice and social protection in the digital era.

Abstract

Religious puritanism was born as a counter-discourse, especially against modernity. Social factors are always taken into consideration to understand the presence of puritanism. However, it cannot be denied that it is also strongly influenced by the encouragement contained in the religious teachings themselves (inward oriented). Its rejection of the West and its cultural products, for example gender equality, can be seen from this side, namely its literalist and textualist character. It is from this side that this paper is written, to find out the epistemological perspective of puritan groups in understanding religious texts on the role of women.
