Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused various impacts that have been experienced by Indonesian people. The government has provided a breakthrough to reduce the number of Covid-19 in Indonesia, namely the Covid-19 vaccination. The hope of the Covid-19 vaccination is to create herd immunity for the people of Indonesia, but there are still many people who experience anxiety during the process of receiving the Covid-19 vaccination. A preliminary study conducted in the working area of ​​the Banjarmasin Terminal Health Center showed that 5 out of 10 people experienced anxiety. The anxiety experienced by the community can be reduced in various ways, one of which is the provision of thought stopping therapy interventions. This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of thought stopping on reducing the anxiety level of the people who receive the COVID-19 vaccination in the working area of ​​the Banjarmasin Terminal Health Center.This research uses quantitative methods. The population taken is the community receiving the covid-19 vaccination in the working area of ​​the Banjarmasin Terminal Health Center. The number of samples is 30 people with purposive sampling technique. The results of the Paired T-Test statistic test showed that the significance value (2-tailed) was 0.000 <0.05, indicating a difference between anxiety before and after the intervention. There is an effect of thought stopping on reducing the level of anxiety of the people receiving the covid-19 vaccination in the working area of ​​the Banjarmasin Terminal Health Center

Abstract

Background: In the era of globalization there has been a shift from communicable diseases to non-communicable diseases, degenerative diseases are increasingly appearing, one of which is diabetes mellitus. One of the efforts to prevent and treat diabetes mellitus patients is to provide motivation in medication adherence in diabetes mellitus patients. Good motivation will affect increased compliance. Compliance in adhering to treatment plays an important role in maintaining the balance of blood sugar levels and minimizing the risk of complications. Objective: To find out the correlation between motivation and adherence to treatment in patients with diabetes mellitus type II at the PIR Butong Health Center. Methods: This type of quantitative research with a correlational study design with a cross sectional approach. The sample was type II diabetes mellitus patients who underwent routine treatment at the PIR Butong Health Center in January - February 2023 totaling 63 people and were taken using the accidental sampling technique. Retrieval of data using a questionnaire sheet. Data analysis used the Spearman Rho test. Result: Most of the respondents had good motivation, namely 33 people (52.4%), almost half of the respondents had low medication adherence, namely 23 people (36.5%). There is a significant relationship between motivation and medication adherence in type II. diabetes mellitus at the PIR Butong Health Center with a p-value (0.000<0.05). The value of r = -0.615 which means a high correlation coefficient or a high relationship between motivation and medication adherence. Conclusion: There was a correlation between motivation and adherence to treatment in patients with diabetes mellitus type II at the PIR Butong Health Center.

Abstract

Kebiasaan mengunyah sirih sekarang ini sudah jarang atau bahkan ada yang tidak pernah mendengar istilah “nginang”. Aktivitas nginang merupakan aktivitas warisan leluhur yang sudah sangat langka dan hampir punah di Banjarmasin. Peminatnya sangat sedikit dan hanya dilakukan oleh orang-orang tertentu saja. Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan di salah satu desa daerah Banjarmasin Timur. Kegiatan dilakukan menggunakan metode ceramah, diskusi dan latihan. Pengabdian Masyarakat ini menggunakan 12 informan. Informan yang dipilih adalah informan yang masih mengunyah sirih pinang ketika wawancara dilakukan. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat disana mengalami peningkatan kebiasaan mengunyah sirih pinang, yang ditandai dengan kondisi giginya sangatlah bagus. Rata-rata masyarakat disana yang tidak memiliki kebiasaan menginang, mengalami kerusakan pada gigi seperti adanya karies gigi, gigi yang tidak utuh lagi, dan gigi. Penemuan di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat Desa Paku Alam kurang dalam merawat kesehatan gigi dan memicu adanya kerusakan pada gigi. Setelah dilakukan pengabdian, masyarakat disana mengalami perubahan pola pikir dan mereka memiliki keinginan yang kuat untuk menjadikan menginang sebagai kebiasaan mereka.

Abstract

Fracture is an emergency that requires immediate help to reduce the threat of danger to the victim, one of the causes of fractures is traffic accidents. Knowledge is a supporting factor for a person's self-efficacy in providing first aid in an accident that must be known by all groups, including high school students (PMR members). Objective to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge of PMR students to self-efficacy in providing first aid in bandage at SMAN 3 Banjarmasin. Method using a quantitative method with a cross sectional approach. The research sample of 36 people was then carried out the Chi-Square test. Based on the results of knowledge analysis on self efficacy, it showed a p-value of 0.01 <0.05 which means that there was a significant relationship between PMR students' knowledge and self efficacy in providing first aid for splint dressing. There needs to be follow-up and coordination by the school in providing first aid materials to students in a sustainable manner, with good knowledge, the self-efficacy of students in providing first aid is also good.
