Abstract

This study investigates the effect of knowledge, religiosity, andattitude on purchase intention. A more comprehensive studymodel is considered an effort to add to the literature on the studyof halal cosmetics, which is still very limited amid the progress ofthe halal cosmetics industry in Indonesia. The millennial samplewas used in this study and then analyzed using SEM. Accordingto the result, knowledge did not significantly impact purchaseintentions but played an essential role in influencing attitudes.Meanwhile, religiosity has been proven to significantly impact andcontribute the most to determining purchase intention but wasinsignificant in influencing attitudes. Finally, the result also foundthat attitudes mediated the influence of knowledge and religiosityon purchase intention. For this reason, industry players shouldpay more attention to religiosity in promoting their products.Consumers must be given additional knowledge to influencepositive consumer behavior, encouraging purchase intention. Theimplication of this study is limited to the millennial sample ofthe halal cosmetics product in Indonesia.JEL Classification: M31, M37

Abstract

The aim of this community service is to reach prospective new students who have been previously identified to be recommended for assistance in the form of educational scholarships in the Mataram City area. This community service is a form of Bumigora University's commitment to advancing education in Indonesia by providing assistance to prospective students who are less well off financially. The service targets for prospective new students start from Jalan Cilinaya, Cakranegara District, Jalan Pejanggik, Selaparang District, Karang Bedil, Pagutan, Dasan Cermen Timur, and ends in Monjok. This service activity uses a qualitative approach with the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method with descriptive research type. The activity was carried out by visiting the home of each prospective student and then conducting a short interview with the prospective student's guardian. A total of 7 prospective students were visited by this service team. Based on wise and careful consideration, the results of this service implementation decided to recommend the seven prospective students who were surveyed based on the real conditions of the prospective students. Apart from being beneficial for the community, this service activity also really helps the campus in identifying prospective students who are less fortunate and worthy of being given assistance to obtain higher education.

Abstract

The shift of the era toward digitalization has had a significant impact on public reading interests, especially among the digital generation. In this context, this community dedication aims to boost the interest in reading through an innovation by opening up a library of paths. The method of activity is community development that is named after the Askara Aksara street library program. The Character Soldier was designed as a street library that made dedication participants discover new things about books and reading. This approach is expected to increase public accessibility and involvement in literacy in the midst of the digital information stream. Based on the results of interviews with dedicated participants, the implementation of Askara Aksara has been successful in raising public interest in reading, especially among the digital generation. This success can be seen in increased frequency of visits, participation in literacy activities, and changes in reading behavior. Soldiers of Characters is expected to be an inspiring model for the development of street libraries in various communities, presenting innovative solutions to strengthen literacy amid the dynamic change of information technology.
