Abstract

This study aims to produce worksheets based on the ICARE approach that are valid and practical and have a potential effect on algebraic arithmetic operations material. This research is a development research or Development Research. The LKPD development process goes through two stages, namely the preliminary stage and the formative evaluation stage. The LKPD was declared valid after being validated by three experts based on: 1. ICARE characteristics, 2. The suitability of the material to basic competencies and indicators of competency achievement, and 3. Grammatical compatibility according to the General Guidelines for Indonesian Spelling (PUEBI). While the practicality of LKPD is seen from the responses of students in small groups in answering questions. The potential effect is seen from the results of students' final ability tests. student learning outcomes obtained an average final grade of 85.35 which means that student learning outcomes are classified as very good. So it can be concluded that the ICARE approach-based worksheets that have been developed have a potential effect on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemahaman siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita program linier SMA Negeri 10  Palembang kelas XI. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif, populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 10 Palembang pada tahun ajaran 2016/2017 yang berjumlah 8 kelas MIA dan 6 kelas IIS. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 25% dari seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 10 Palembang pada tahun ajaran 2016/2017 yang  dipilih dengan teknik non probability sampling dengan jenis sampling purposive,  adapun sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu kelas XI MIA 4 yang berjumlah 40 siswa, XI MIA 5 yang berjumlah 41 siswa, dan XI MIA 6 yang berjumlah 41 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah peneliti mengambil hasil ulangan harian siswa kepada guru mata pelajaran matematika. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang telah dilakukan diperoleh rata-rata  kemampuan pemahaman siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita program linier yaitu sebesar 45,4%. Jadi kemampuan pemahaman siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita program linier  kelas XI terhadap 3 jenis kemampuan pemahaman (konsep, prinsip, operasi) dapat dikategorikan cukup.Kata Kunci: Kemampuan Siswa, Soal Cerita, Model Matematika, Program Linier

Abstract

Ditinjau dari analisis hasil belajar dan respon secara umum peserta didik menunjukan sikap senang dalam mengikuti pembelajaran materi sistem koordinat polar dan mudah memahami dalam konsep materi yang diberikan dengan memanfaatkan pembelajaran terpadu tipe connected ini sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk memaparkan peningkatan hasil belajar dan respon dari peserta didik. Penelitian ini dilakukan di  kelas VIII.F MTs Muqimus Sunnah Palembang Semester Ganjil Tahun Pelajaran 2022/2023 berjumlah 23 orang dan merupakan subjek dalam penelitian. Jenis dari penelitian adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), prosedur dalam penghimpunan data dilakukan melalui cara mengamati kegiatan pembelajaran dan tes. Dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran peserta didik dikelompokan menjadi 5 kelompok berdasarkan  kemampuan yang berbeda-beda dan diberikan LKPD yang menarik, setiap kelompok mempresentasikan hasilnya. Peningkatan aktivitas belajar matematika dalam setiap siklusnya dilaksanakan dengan cukup efektif  karena bisa meningkatkan prestasi belajar dalam matematika dan respon peserta didik. Peningkatan dan respon tergambar dari persentase hasil tes peserta didik yang didapat baik dari  siklus I ataupun siklus  II secara berturut-turut yaitu ketuntasan belajar sebesar 65% dan ketuntasan belajar sebesar 77%. Sedangkan hasil pengelohan data respon peserta didik menunjukan respon yang sangat positif tentang pembelajaran dengan penggunaan pembelajaran terpadu tipe connected pada sistem koordinat polar di kelas VIII.Fconnected, Hasil Belajar, Respon, PTK

Abstract

The low learning outcomes and student responses to teaching and learning activities is one of the problems in learning that must be addressed immediately. This article aims to look at improving learning outcomes in mathematics which is taught with Student Worksheets (LKPD) based on the PMRI approach using the traditional culinary context of South Sumatra. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research subjects were 28 grade IV students at an elementary school in Palembang. The research flow uses the Kemmis and Mc. Taggart plots, with the stages in this study namely planning, action, observation, and reflection which are carried out in two cycles. Data collection was in the form of tests to measure learning outcomes and attitude questionnaires used to determine student responses. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively and quantitatively. From the results of data analysis, it was obtained that the average student learning outcomes in cycle I was 70.82 with a percentage of student completeness of 57.14%, the average student learning outcomes in cycle II rose to 75.63 with a percentage of student completeness of 86.86%. While the results of the questionnaire showed that the activeness and enthusiasm of students increased. The conclusion is that learning mathematics taught with PMRI-based LKPD with the traditional culinary context of Palembang City can increase student interest and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Connected type teaching materials are part of thematic learning which can be used as an alternative in facilitating mathematics learning. The material chosen is math material in grade II elementary school including multiplication, division, and simple plane shapes. The theme used in this study is the Great Mosque of Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin I Palembang which is well known to students. This research is a development research using the stages of development of Tessmer and Akker. The two major stages of this development research are: (1) Introduction, and (2) Formative Evaluation. Data collection with walkthroughs, documentation and tests. Data analysis was in the form of product analysis of teaching materials by looking at the results of tracing and documentation of the one to one stage, expert reviews and small groups, and analysis of test data obtained from the field test stage. Based on the results of product analysis, valid and practical teaching materials were obtained. Validity can be seen from the results of the assessment of content/content experts (according to the thematic approach of the connected type), construct experts (according to the characteristics of teaching materials), and language experts (according to PEUBI). Practically seen from the results of students' assessments in small group trials where students stated that the teaching materials provided were easy to understand. The potential effect is seen from the evaluation test results. The teaching materials compiled were declared valid after going through the one to one stage, expert review which had been revised according to expert advice. Practically illustrated from the results of small groups that have gone through the revision stage. The potential effect of this study is 86.1 and is included in the very good category.

Abstract

Mathematical problem-solving ability is an essential competency that enables students to apply mathematical concepts in real-life situations. However, many students still encounter difficulties when solving fraction word problems, particularly those involving contextual and religiously relevant situations. This study aimed to investigate the problem-solving abilities of Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) students in solving fraction word problems integrated with Mawaris (Islamic inheritance) contexts. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed involving 22 ninth-grade students of MTs Muqimus Sunnah. Data were collected through problem-solving tests, interviews, and documentation and were analyzed based on four indicators of problem solving: understanding the problem, devising a plan, carrying out the plan, and interpreting the results. The findings showed that 27.27% of students were categorized as having high problem-solving ability, 45.45% moderate ability, and 27.27% low ability. Students performed best in understanding the problem and carrying out the solution plan (72.73%), while interpreting the results was the weakest indicator (36.36%). Difficulties mainly arose in translating contextual information into mathematical models, performing fraction operations accurately, and relating solutions to the Mawaris context. The study concludes that integrating Mawaris into fraction learning provides meaningful contextualization and can support the development of students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities while strengthening Islamic values.
