Abstract

Talking about Indonesia will never end. Lately, many generations of students are far from Islam. It does not matter if Allah is pleased or not. Even the Qur’an was ignored. Education is not just looking for grades on a diploma, but education is a place to seek knowledge, then implement the knowledge gained in everyday life, and after that pass it on to others. The purpose this article is to interpret the regeneration of Al-Qur’an love education realized through the extracurricular tahfidz MTS N 2 Sleman. This research is a type of qualitative research with a qualitative descriptive research approach. The data analysis technique used is by Miles, Huberman, and Saldana with the stages of data collection, data condensation, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the tahfidz extracurricular activities at MTS N 2 Sleman were able to restore the generation of Al-Qur’an love education as evidenced by the students participating in tahfidz extracurricular activities twice a week. Thus, the love of the Qur’an education desired by the creator will be able to output generations that are useful for the future of the Indonesian nation.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of character education in Islamic boarding schools for university students, focusing on two specific institutions namely Kyai Haji Ahmad Dahlan Student Islamic Boarding School which is next called Persada UAD, and Surya Global Health College of Health Sciences Student Boarding School Yogyakarta which is called Pesantren STIKes Surya Global. The research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing interviews, observations, and document analysis involving several administrators from these boarding schools. The findings highlight the critical role of character education in shaping the morals and ethics of students, particularly their religious character. The presence of these Islamic boarding schools plays a significant role in reinforcing character values among students. The study identifies four key aspects of character education within these institutions: a clear and measurable vision, mission, and goals; an effective character education learning design; strict yet rational regulations for student conduct; and the practical application of character education values in daily student life. The research concludes that higher education institutions should integrate character education into both general and religious curricula, with Islamic boarding schools providing an ideal environment for this integration through a well-structured character education curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively analyze the main issues and challenges in evaluating the education system in Indonesia. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptiveanalytical literature review method on national education evaluation practices. The results of the study show that, first, there is a gap between policy design and implementation in the field. Second, the quality and capacity of evaluators are not yet fully adequate in carrying out authentic assessment and evaluation. Third, character education evaluation instruments are still weak and often administrative in nature. This study emphasizes that strengthening the education evaluation system in Indonesia requires a more integrative and systematic approach, including improving the capacity of evaluators, the role of teachers, the development of evaluation instruments, and government intervention through affirmative policies, such as the ADEM and Merdeka Belajar scholarship programs.
