Abstract

Chitin extraction in industry has been conducted by chemical process. The process has been known as a harsh treatment that badly affected to chitin quality, equipment and the environment. Since the last decade biologically chitin extractionhas more attracted attention. The biologically chitin extraction was conducted by batch fermentation or subsequent-batch fermentation. Continous demineralization and deproteinization is a new inovation on biologically chitin production technology.This system promises as an alternative technology for overcoming problems of batch fermentation process and chemical process. The objectives of the experiment was to obtain the optimal condition for continous deminineralizationand deproteinization for producing chitin from Panaeus vannamei shrimp shells. Lactobacillus acidophilus FNCC 116 and Bacillus licheniformis F11.1 was used for demineralization and deproteination process respectively. The results showed that the best condition for continuous demineralization was 6,5% glucose feed, with 16 hours retention time. For continuous deproteinization, the best condition was with 12 hours retention time. The process could remove 92.95% ash and 91.40% protein. The chitin, ash, and protein content of chitin product was 96.69%, 1.44% and 1,76% respectively.

Abstract

Waste Agriculture of paddy like hay, bran, chaff and frond of banana and alsowaste plantation of coconut root and cangkang of sawit pregnant [of] lignoselulosa(cellulose, lignine and hemiselulosa).In order to searching alternative materials for the production of xylanase hencedone by research of xylanase production of agriculture waste and plantationwaste like the above. Xylanase produced from Bacillus stearothermopillusDSM 22, using hay, bran, chaff and frond of banana and also coconut root andcangkang of sawit as source of carbon while as source of nitrogen and nutrisi bymolasses and urea. Fermentation done in the erlenmeyer use incubator shakerwith condition of temperature 550C, pH early 8, and agitation 250 rpm. Fromresult of research obtained activity of xylanase highest 0.523 Unit / ml.menit and0.429 Unit / ml.menit at to 30 hours with bran media of oven ( DO) and naturalhay ( JA) respectively with natural bran medium (DA) activity of xylanase highest0.514 Unit / ml.menit at 24 hours fermentation. Fermentation using fermentor withnatural hay and condition of temperature 550C, pH 8, and agitation 250 rpm resultactivity of xylanase highest 2.47 Unit / ml.menit at to 32 hours.

Abstract

The welding business can be one of the business opportunities that can be developed in a business because the profits from the welding business are also very promising. The partners in this PKM activity are the students of the As Saadah Puri Serpong Islamic Boarding School as an alternative business opportunity to run a welding business. The welding business needs to be carried out with adequate knowledge and planning. This is so that the welding business can develop properly and experience an increase in terms of turnover and profit. Based on the results of observations and discussions with the two partners, there were several problems encountered both in the process of selecting locations, equipment, business design, execution processes and marketing. There is no adequate knowledge of welding technology and important things that must be considered in running a welding business, so it is considered necessary to provide training so that the welding business can be carried out with good planning and supervision. The solutions proposed or offered in this PKM activity are as follows: 1. Aspects of production: In accordance with the problems faced by the two partners, solutions for business aspects include: a. creating a guiding model regarding quality management both in the process of selecting tools and materials as well as in the welding process. B. By applying painting technology with paint that dries faster than ordinary paint. 2. Management aspect: The solution offered to partners is to provide business/business management training covering planning to control both in production and management aspects. 3. Aspects of customer convenience and satisfaction: The solution offered to partners is to provide a strategy for making customers comfortable and satisfied when performing welding services, so that customers do not only make fences and trellis once, but will come back and come back again because they feel comfortable and satisfied with service. They will become loyal customers, even customers who will attract other potential customers.

Abstract

Presence recognition training using QR codes based on Android devices could be one of the trainings that can be developed by students because the competency gain from this training is quite promising. If students/santri after becoming alumni can later develop these competencies, it can be very profitable. If in the Islamic boarding school environment the alumni spread across their regions and try in various fields, of course knowledge of using the QR code scanner digital application on Android devices will be very useful, especially for the administration system. Partners in this PKM activity are teachers/administrative staff/students of Assaadah Puri Serpong Islamic High School within the Assaadah Puri Serpong Islamic Boarding School environment. The training on introducing attendance using QR codes based on Android devices was carried out with the stages of introduction, counseling and assistance in the practice of using it. Based on the results of observations and discussions with partners, there are several problems faced, especially related to the student attendance review system which still uses a manual/paper-based system, resulting in difficulties in organizing, processing and controlling student attendance data both at the teaching staff level and in the school administration. The lack of technical knowledge regarding the use of digital applications on Android devices, such as a QR code scanner application which can actually be used for student attendance applications, is one of the obstacles for school equipment to be able to manage a more efficient attendance administration system. The solutions carried out in this PKM activity related to existing problems are: 1. Technical aspect: this aspect includes things you need to know about a simple presence attendance application using a QR code based on an Android device. The PKM team helps with the above matters through counseling and training so that a good understanding of this aspect is obtained so that they are technically able to practice it. 2. Management Aspect: this aspect is related to the management of the presence data obtained. So far, data management is still carried out manually without the use of a good application system. For this reason, the PKM team helps to solve problems in the management aspect with training methods on how to manage student attendance percentage data that is more practical, accurate, effective and efficient.

Abstract

Website training can be one of the trainings that can be developed by students because with this training students have promising competency advantages. If students become graduate of school, they can later develop the website. If in the Islamic boarding school environment the graduate of school are spread across various regions and are trying in various fields, of course they need a website as a means of promotion. Moreover, now that many new business fields are being built, the need to create websites for promotion is increasing. However, sometimes the website training that is carried out does not develop as expected. The business being run is stagnant and even tends to decline. This is due to several things, namely technical aspects and management aspects. Partners in this PKM activity are SMA Assaadah Puri Serpong within the Assaadah Islamic Boarding School environment. Based on the results of observations and discussions with partners, there are several problems faced in the process of creating websites, databases, computer equipment, website design, execution processes and marketing websites that will be promoted to other parties. The absence of adequate technical knowledge of website training means that website training is carried out without proper planning and supervision. Another problem is that currently website hosting costs are expensive, which interferes with the website launching process. The solutions in this PKM activity are as follows: 1. Technical aspects: In accordance with the problems faced by partners, the solutions include: a. create a website creation material module guide. b. Selecting a computer with adequate specifications. c. by using applications that are simpler than other applications, namely HTML websites, PHP databases, WordPress hosting. 2. Management aspect: The solution is to provide business management training, including planning and control, both in the production and marketing aspects of a website that is ready to be launched.

Abstract

Lipase is applied to hydrolyzethe residual oil or fat in palm oil mill effluent (POME), which serves as a feedstock for biogas production. A bacterial isolate (Bacillus velezensis) exhibiting lipase activity, previously obtained from Malimping, Pandeglang, Banten, Indonesia, underwentsequential treatments of gamma irradiation (1, 2, and 3 kGy), EMS (ethyl methane sulfonate) mutagenesis (0.5% v/v), and NTG (N-methyl N-nitrosoguanidine) (1 mg mL-1). Following each mutation, lipase activities of the mutant colonies were measured and compared to the wild-type strain. The results revealed that all mutated B. velezensiscolonies exhibited lipase activity values (7.78 ± 0.80 –9.05 ± 0.23 U mL-1) that were not significantly different from the wild-type isolate (8.31 ± 0.01 U mL-1), indicating strong bacterial resistance against the mutagenic treatments. The crude lipase preparation effectively hydrolyzed POME, resulting in a reduction of the COD value (from 131,450 ppm to 88,450 ppm) and O&G content (from 41,400 mg L-1to 5,770 mg L-1) within a 72-hour timeframe.

Abstract

Training in introducing computer basics is one of the trainings that students can develop because the acquisition of excess competencies from this training is quite promising. If students, after becoming alumni, can develop these competencies, it will be very profitable. Partners in this PKM activity are students from MTs Pembangunan Nurul Islam, Sarimulya Setu, South Tangerang. The introductory training on the basics of computer hardware and software was carried out in stages: introduction, counseling and assistance in using it. Based on the results of observations and discussions with partners, there were several problems faced by the introductory training on computer basics, namely students' lack of operating computer technology perfectly, lack of Student motivation when studying computer technology. One of the causes is a lack of awareness of how important it is to study computer technology. The solutions proposed or offered in this PKM activity are as follows: 1. Facilitate and provide direction to MTs students at the school, it is hoped that they can understand the basics of computers more freely without fear. 2. Provide computer basics learning according to level. for junior high school level, they are given advanced material from what they learn formally in school informatics lessons. During training activities, students are encouraged to be able to understand the basics of computers with the aim of raising their self-confidence in learning. For this reason, the PKM team will help to solve problems in the management aspect using training methods

Abstract

Training in creating animated characters using the Scratch application serves as an introduction to block-based programming fundamentals that are simple, easy to operate, interactive, and engaging. This training offers promising competency outcomes, as students can further develop their skills through animated stories, games, or presentations. Since 2018, the Ministry of Education and Culture has promoted the integration of informatics education into the 2013 curriculum, including computational thinking skills, which are essential for both current and future generations. The partner for this community service training activity is the students of MTs Pembangunan Nurul Islam, located in Sarimulya, Setu, South Tangerang. This initiative is a tangible step toward implementing informatics learning through the introduction of block-based programming fundamentals. The training involved stages of introduction, instruction, and guidance in using the application. Based on observations and discussions with the partner school, several issues were identified in learning Information and Communication Technology (ICT). One of the causes is students’ lack of awareness of the importance of learning programming fundamentals, coupled with the stigma that programming is difficult, uninteresting, and boring. To address both technical and management issues, the proposed solutions in this community service program include: first, facilitating and providing guidance on the use of the Scratch application for MTs students, with the hope that they will understand basic programming without fear or difficulty. Second, offering engaging, interactive, simple, and easy-to-understand lessons on basic programming using Scratch, by providing example projects such as creating animated characters. The training program was implemented smoothly, and all participating students enthusiastically followed each stage of the training. Their motivation was encouraged to become familiar with programming, increasing their interest, understanding, and confidence in basic programming skills. The ultimate goal is to foster students' interest, knowledge, and skills while boosting their self-confidence in ICT learning, particularly in basic programming.

Abstract

Servis motor dapat menjadi salah satu peluang usaha yang dapat dikembangkan karena perolehan keuntungannya yang menjanjikan, terutama jika letak usaha berada di daerah yang padat penduduk dan di pinggir jalan yang banyak dilalui kendaraan bermotor. Apalagi jika aktivitas warganya sangat tinggi sehingga tidak ada kesempatan pergi ke bengkel resmi yang jaraknya juga jauh. Maka bengkel servis tersebut menjadi satu-satunya pilihan. Diperlukan beberapa strategi untuk mendukung kelancaran usaha tersebut. Keberhasilan usaha servis motor tergantung pada aspek baik teknis maupun manajemen. Mitra kegiatan PKM ini adalah para pemuda yang tergabung dalam organisasi karang taruna. Usaha servis motor tersebut dilaksanakan berdasarkan pengalaman seadanya tanpa adanya pengetahuan dan perencanaan yang memadai. Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan diskusi dengan kedua mitra terdapat beberapa masalah yang dihadapi baik dalam proses pemilihan peralatan, desain usaha, proses eksekusi servis motor maupun pemasaran. Belum adanya pengetahuan manajemen yang memadai dan hal-hal penting yang harus diperhatikan dalam menjalankan usaha mulai dari perencanaan sampai dengan pengawasan. Masalah selanjutnya adalah manajemen keuangan yang belum rapi, dimana masih campuraduk antara uang hasil usaha dengan uang pribadi. Solusi yang diusulkan atau ditawarkan dalam kegiatan PKM ini adalah sebagai berikut: 1. Aspek teknis: a. membuat panduan model mengenai manajemen mutu baik dalam proses pemilihan alat dan bahan serta proses servis motor; b. mengaplikasikan teknologi servis motor dengan peralatan yang lebih canggih dibandingkan dengan cara konvensional. 2. Aspek manajemen: memberikan pelatihan manajemen bisnis/usaha meliputi perencanaan sampai pengendalian baik dalam aspek teknis ataupun manajemen. 3. Aspek kenyamanan dan kepuasan pelanggan: memberikan strategi kenyamanan dan kepuasan kepada pelanggan ketika melakukan servis motor, sehingga pelanggan memutuskan tempat usaha tersebut menjadi satu-satunya pilihan, dan bahkan membantu menarik calon pelanggan lainnya.
