Abstract

Hubungan panjang bobot allometrik minor, kecepatan. pertumbuhan 0,45/thn, laju kematian penangkapan lebih besar dari laju kematian alami, laju eksploitasi sebesar 0,61 (over eksploitasi).Spermonde Islands is one of the main catchment areas of tiger grouper fish (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus) in South Sulawesi. If arrest efforts continue to be improved without considering the potential and condition of the population, it is feared that it can interfere with the sustainability of grouper resources in the future. Therefore, a study of population parameters and eksploitation rates is needed so the sustainability of tiger grouper resources is maintained. The study aimed at population parameters and the rate of exploitation of tiger grouper fish (E. fuscoguttatus) in the Spermonde Islands of South Sulawesi. The study was conducted from September 2021 to December 2021 in the Spermonde Islands Region of South Sulawesi. The research method in the form of measurements of the total length and weight 1032 catch of tiger grouper fish from the catch of fishermen and collecting traders landed at PPI Paotere, Makassar. The observed parameters include the distribution of length size, weight length relationship, growth rate, total mortality rate, natural and capture and rate of exploitation analyzed descriptively and with the ELEFAN program. The results of the analysis of the average length of tiger grouper fish (E. fuscoguttatus) in the Spermonde Islands measured between the size of 19.00 cm – 40.00 cm, (N = 1,023). Relationship length-weight of minor allometric, growth rate of 0.45/year, arrest death rate greater than natural mortality rate, exploitation rate of 0.61 (over exploitation)

Abstract

Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus, Linnaeus, 1758) is a dominant commodity in the Indonesian freshwater fishery industry, and its growth relies on feed. Pellet are feed that is processed through a factory mechanism or human intervention, based on the cultivators’ needs. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine the effect of pelleted feed with varying protein content on growth and survival of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) fry. This was conducted from April 2022 to June 2022, in Tasiwalie Village, Suppa District, Pinrang Regency. The test animals used were tilapia aged 30 days, and feed include omega-3, Hi-Pro-vite 781, and Prima feed 500 grams each. An experimental method was employed using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three treatment and replications, where treatment A, B, and C were Prima Feed (39 – 41%), Hi-Pro Vite (protein 31 – 33%), and Omega feed (protein 13 – 16%), respectively. Artificial feed was given at a dose of 5%/body weight 3 times a day. Also, water quality management was carried out by measuring temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, and ammonia. The results showed that different feed affected protein retention with the highest average value of 43.23%, the highest average fat retention of 48.56%, absolute weight growth of 1.58 g, absolute length growth of 2.33 cm, daily specific weight growth rate of 3.75%, daily specific length growth rate of 5.56%, and feed utilization efficiency 70.60%. Furthermore, the best growth was obtained in treatment A, involving Prime Feed from 39 – 41%. This study showed that the percentage of protein had a significant effect on growth and survival of tilapia. Therefore, the feed industry is needed to formulate requirements based on tilapia fish, to increase production. Keywords:TilapiaFeedGrowthSurvival

Abstract

White Snapper (Lates Calcarifer) has a fairly complete nutritional content, is favored by the community and has high economic value. The success of white snapper cultivation is determined by the availability of feed during maintenance. This study aims to analyze the use of gold snails as a substitute for pellet feed on the growth and survival of white snapper, by feeding gold snails, pellets and a combination of both. The research took place from July to November 2021 at the Pond and Field Laboratory of FPIK, Indonesian Muslim University in Kalibone, Pangkep. The method was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 3 replications; namely Treatment A (pellets), Treatment B (conch Emas) and Treatment C (pellets and snails Emas). Parameters measured were growth rate of fish body weight and length, Specific Growth Rate (SGR), Survival, Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR). The data were analyzed using analysis of variance value (ANOVA) and further test of Least Significant Difference (LSD) was performed if the ANOVA was significant using SPSS 22 software. The results of this study showed that the treatment used had no significant effect on all parameters measured except for absolute length growth. This shows that the use of golden snails for barramundi feed can be used to substitute pellet feed which is relatively more expensive. Even in the growth parameters, the use of golden snails was better than pellet feed, although the difference in growth was not statistically significant.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of different feed doses on the growth and survival of barramundi (Lates calcarifer) pups. To find out the best optimal dose for the growth and survival of juvenile Barramundi (Lates calcarifer). Held for 6 weeks from October to November 2022 at Takalar Brackish Water Aquaculture Fishery Center (BBPBAP), Mappakalompo Village, Galesong District, Takalar Regency. The materials used in the study were barramundi seed size: ±5.74 cm as test animals, 3000 grams of commercial chow as treatment chow, and seawater as rearing medium. The feeding dose is 3% for treatment A, 8% for treatment B and 13%/BB for treatment C, with a frequency of 3 times a day. Spread evenly on the maintenance container. Water quality management is done by measuring water quality, namely dissolved oxygen, temperature and pH. In addition, a suction of uneaten food and fish waste is carried out. This research method used a fully randomized design (CRD) consisting of three treatments and three replicates. Treatment A 3%, Treatment B 5% and Treatment C 13%/BB. Based on absolute weight gain, absolute length gain, daily growth rate and survival rate, treatment B 8% had a significant impact on snapper fry growth. The survival rate is 90.00% to 96.67%, which is relatively high and indicates a high survival rate due to good feed management. The efficiency of feed conversion resulting from feed and different doses of meal showed a significant comparison (<0.05), giving an optimal value of 93.92% compared to treatment A 3% and treatment C 13%/BB
