Abstract

The “Karya Bersama” Fisherman Group in Galesong Village, Galesong District, Takalar Regency as partners in this activity using an outboard engine as a fiberglass boat propulsion engine in fishing activities. In the initial observation, information was found that the service life of their boat engine was very low, which was about 3 years because the engine was often failure. The causes of engine failure are the lack of fishermen’s knowledge on how to run the engine properly and engine maintenance techniques. This community service aims to increase the knowledge of partners in boat engine maintenance techniques. The expected benefit of this activity is to reduce the number of engine breakdowns and reduce operational costs, especially the cost of repairing boat engines. The method of this service activity is counseling by providing material about the general description of ship propulsion engines, types of engine damage, and periodic maintenance techniques on boat engines. Evaluation of the level of knowledge of participants in receiving the transfer of science and technology is carried out using the pre-test method at the beginning of the activity and the post-test conducted at the end of the activity. The results of the activity showed that 90% of the 10 participants had good knowledge of boat engine periodic maintenance techniques and were able to carry out engine maintenance activities correctly.

Abstract

The community paradigm regarding the use of equipment that supports work safety and security still considers it disturbing the flexibility and flexibility of working. People have always assumed that they, and even those before them, were able to work safely and safely without the use of such equipment. This activity aims to provide an understanding of risk mitigation if problems occur in the ship production work process at CV's shipyard. Deka Cipta Sarana which is located in Barombong, Makassar City, as well as an introduction to work safety and security equipment and equipment, as well as understanding how to use it optimally. The implementation of this activity involved 15 workers at the shipyard location. Based on the results of the analysis of the questionnaire data distributed before and after the implementation of the activity, it was found that there was an increase in worker awareness in the implementation of the occupational safety and security management system. Understanding of risk mitigation of ship production work processes increased from 33% to 60% and understanding of the use of safety and security equipment and equipment increased from 27% to 67%.

Abstract

Perencanaan dan analisis sistem kelistrikan perlu dilakukan secara berkala untuk melakukan evaluasi terhadap perubahan yang terjadi dari sistem yang sedang berjalan. Ketika perubahan konstruksi ataupun volume dari kapal itu bertambah maka analisa beban kelistrikan perlu diperhatikan pula, utamnya pada saat variasi beban dilakukan. Kapal Latih BP2IP Barombong atau biasa disebut KL BP2IP Barombong merupakan kapal yang digunakan para taruna BP2IP Barombong untuk berlatih. Kapal Latih BP2IP Barombong atau biasa disebut KL BP2IP Barombong merupakan kapal yang digunakan para taruna BP2IP Barombong untuk berlatih. Volume Kapal Latih Barombong diperbesar dari ukuran 418GT menjadi ≥ 500 GT. Tujuan dari penelitian ini merencanakan nilai kebutuhan daya generator KL BP2IP setelah ekspansi GT, dengan menggunakan metode perhitungan electrical balance berdasarkan load factor pada tiap existing peralatan di atas kapal. Kemudian menganalisa beban generator menggunakan softswere ETAP (Electric Transient and Analysis Program). Berdasarkan hasil simulsi ETAP maka kebutuhan daya generator setelah ekspansi GT adalah: Kondisi Berlayar 96,6 kW, Manuver 74,29 kW, Bersandar 42,55 kW, dan Emergency 8,76 kW. Sehingga daya generator yang dipilih yaitu 2 generator masing-msing dengan spesifikasi 50 kW. Hasil analisis dapat diketahui bahwa: Bertambahnya panjang pipa pada sistem perpipaan akan mengakibatkan kenaikan kebutuhan daya pompa yang diakibatkan oleh kenaikan nilai kehilangan longitudinal pada pipa lurus oleh gesekan sepanjang pipa dalam menentukan H (head pompa) serta komponen pengkondisian udara merupakan item yang paling banyak membutuhkan daya listrik dalam operasinya. Adanya daya reaktif (kVAr) sangatlah mempengaruhi daya aktif (kW) yang bekerja pada suatu peralatan, semakin besar daya reaktif suatu peralatan maka semakin besar pula daya generator yang dibutuhkan untuk mengoperasikan peralatan tersebut.
