Abstract

Flowers are one of the extraordinary forms that are enjoyed by their beauty. Starting from a childhood experience, this work tries to manifest anxiety through the art of photography. The object selected in this work is a lay flower. Wither is where a condition is not fresh or pale. Based on changes in flower color, irregular textures and shapes are interesting to visualize in a photographic work. One of the genres of photography used is still life photography. A work of art that creates an image of an inanimate object or object to make it appear much more alive. The work of this work, uses air-filled media with other supporting objects. The selection of media that contains water is used to facilitate the arrangement in order to achieve aesthetic or beauty value. The values of beauty include unity, complexity, and sincerity in creating such works. All of these things are related to the results in the process of working on the work. The Creation of Withered Flowers in Still life Photography has meaning, not just a visual form without aesthetic value.

Abstract

The storytelling method is one method that influences student learning. With storytelling, students can make a mind map of the information they get and the ideas they want to convey. Students with special needs (deaf) need their method of storytelling. The PKM Photography Study Program from ISI Surakarta conducted photography training as a storytelling medium for students attending YKK Pacitan Elementary School, East Java. Through photo media, deaf students can easily convey ideas and assist in teaching and learning. In addition, this training improves students’ photography ability using DSLR and smartphone cameras. Students participating in photography training as a storytelling medium demonstrate their ability to take pictures of objects and write descriptions as a whole storytelling unit summarized in a photo catalog containing the works of all photography training participants as storytelling.

Abstract

Using a darkroom to create photogram works often gives rise to findings related to the effectiveness and efficiency of using light in the enlarger in the darkroom as well as findings to deal with problems that exist when in the darkroom. This then inspired the desire to carry out an experiment that would be useful when researchers carried out the photogram technique, but could be done outside the dark room. Through this research, it is hoped that the aim will be to obtain a solution to the problems that the researcher stated in the previous paragraph. In this applied research efforts are made to apply the research results which can be used to develop creative photography experiments, especially the photogram technique. The darkroom is an important space that must exist in the analog era. A dark room is a room that is literally dark with several devices such as enlargers and chemicals that are used for the image development process. The darkroom or darkroom is a manifestation of the development of the camera obscura in the 18th century. Portable darkrooms became very popular among artists/photographers because of their practicality in being able to travel with them, or dark-room wagons which were usually attached to a horse-drawn carriage or stroller. It is hoped that this research can provide a useful solution in terms of ease and practicality in carrying out photogram techniques so that the illumination process can be carried out outdoors (not in a dark room) so that it has more value as when using a conventional camera.
