Abstract

Static fluid material is one of the materials in school where some students still have difficulty understanding concepts. The learning process using LKPD is more effective than without using LKPD because the use of LKPD allows students to be active in learning activities. The research method used by the author is descriptive qualitative. This study used pretest and posttest to determine the development of students' science process skills. Based on the results of the analysis that has been carried out, it has been proven that the virtual lab-based LKPD has a positive effect on the activities and learning outcomes of MAN 1 Jember students. This is evidenced by the post-test value which is higher than the pretest value. Besides that, With LKPD students become more active and have a higher interest than without using LKPD. Based on the analysis that has been done, it can be concluded that the use of Static Fluid LKPD has a positive influence on the activities and learning outcomes of MAN 1 Jember students.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Media pembelajaran merupakan suatu alat yang penting dalam menunjang kegiatan belajar mengajar, salah satunya LKPD. Phet Simulation merupakan salah satu virtual laboratorium yang dapat diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran, terutama pada sekolah yang kurang memiliki fasilitas seperti tidak memiliki laboratorium IPA. Tujuan pada penelitian ini untuk menganalisis efektivitas LKPD berbasis Phet Simulation Terhadap Pemahaman Siswa SMP Materi Bentuk dan Perubahan Energi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan set Pretest-Posttest Design untuk mengetahui tingkat keefektivan LKPD terhadap pemahaman siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan subjek siswa kelas VII sebagai subjek penelitian. Variabel penelitian ini adalah Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berbasis Phet Simulation sebagai variabel bebas dan pemahaman siswa sebagai variabel terikat. Phet simulation dapat membuktikan hal – hal yang sifatnya abstrak yang sulit dilihat pada praktikum secara langsung. Selain itu, Phet simulation juga dapat membantu sekolah yang tidak memiliki laboratorium yang mengakibatkan siswa tidak dapat melakukan praktikum secara langsung. Phet Simulation dapat menggantikan laboratorium nyata dan dapat menghindari kecelakaan kerja dilaboratorium. Phet Simulation juga memiliki desain dengan bentuk yang disesuaikan dengan aslinya sehingga memudahkan siswa dalam memahami materi. Berdasarkan data penelitian didapatkan bahwa nilai posttest lebih tinggi dibandingkan nilai pretest dengan nilai posttest sebesar 80 dan nilai pretest sebesar 62,3. Berdasarkan data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKPD berbasis Phet Simulation cukup efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa SMP materi bentuk dan perubahan energi.

Abstract

Students are required to solve problems, analyze ideas, to implement the knowledge they learn so that learning becomes active. Without the teacher's direction and guidance, students cannot learn independently and cannot be guided towards the best learning process. Optimizing the learning and teaching process and making students' skills in the science process improve requires developments in learning models. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the guided inquiry learning model in increasing students' learning motivation and skills in the science process through literature studies by examining some data from previous research articles both at national and international levels. The research method used is theoretical study. The results of the theoretical review (literature review) based on articles 1-8 can be concluded that the application of the guided inquiry learning model can increase student learning interest. According to the average results that have been obtained, the learning motivation of students will increase when given the guided inquiry learning model. Based on the well-known descriptions of articles 1 to 16, it can be seen that the guided inquiry learning model can successfully boost students' learning desires. The conclusion from the analysis of the effectiveness of the guided inquiry learning model on learning motivation and helping students to improve their science process skills. The inquiry learning process is able to develop students' intellectual abilities as well as in solving problems.
