Abstract

One of the pharmaceutical service satisfaction assessment processes is directly influenced by individual characteristics (patients). The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the characteristics of pharmaceutical services at pharmacy X Cirebon district. The design of this study used an observational method with a cross sectional approach. Collecting data using a questionnaire distributed to 109 respondents and analyzed by chi square test. The data obtained were analyzed using SPSS 25. The results of the statistical analysis of patient characteristics showed that the majority were aged 17-25 (39%), majority gender was female (52%), the majority education was SMA/SMK (57%), the majority were other occupations consisting of laborers and farmers (25%). The results of the observational analysis of the level of satisfaction of pharmaceutical services, the majority of respondents stated that they were very satisfied as many as 64 respondents (59%). The results of the correlation analysis showed that service satisfaction was influenced by the patient's age (P<0.05), and the assessment of pharmaceutical service satisfaction was not influenced by gender, education and occupation (P>0.05). The conclusion that can be drawn is that there is a relationship between respondent characteristics and satisfaction with pharmaceutical services at Apotek X, Cirebon Regency.

Abstract

Characteristics and level of compliance are components that affect of diabetes mellitus (DM) therapy. The therapy of DM requires a level of compliance to succeed of controlling blood glucose levels in patients. Uncompliance to taking antidiabetic drugs causes blood glucose levels in the body to become uncontrolled. This study aims to see the correlation between patient characteristics and compliance to antidiabetic medication in DM patients in General Medical Center of Cirebon. The study was conducted by purposive sampling with a cross-sectional approach and using demographic data sheets to determine patient characteristics and the MMAS-8 (Morisky Medication Adherence Scale 8) questionnaire for medication compliance in DM patients. Respondents were selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results from respondents showed that the characteristics category of early elderly (46-55 years) has the highest percentage, followed by the female gender, and elementary school education (SD). Analysis showed that there was no significant correlation between characteristics based on age and compliance, but in the gender category and level of education, there was a significant correlation with compliance to taking antidiabetic medication in DM patients in General Medical Center of Cirebon.

Abstract

Self care management is the patient's activity in carrying out self care to improve the quality of life. Knowledge of hypertension is essential to control therapy and prevent complications. The higher the knowledge of hypertension, the better the self care management. The quality of life can affect hypertension, because it requires longterm treatment, giving rise to comorbidities so that it can lead to a decrease in the quality of life. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge level and quality of life on self care management in hypertensive patients. This research method uses observational with a cross-sectional approach. The sample in this study was 80 respondents and taken using a random sampling technique. The data were taken at the Cangkol Health Center in Cirebon City using a knowledge questionnaire (Hypertension Knowledge-Level Scale {HK-LS}), a quality of life questionnaire (WHOQOL-BREF) and a self care management questionnaire (HSMBQ) then analyzed using SPSS 25 with a Spearman correlation test. The results of the analysis showed that the most patients had a low level of knowledge (53%), the quality of life was very good (59%), self care management was sufficient (63%). The results of the spearman correlation test showed no relationship between knowledge level and self care management in hypertensive patients at the Cangkol Health Center in Cirebon City. with p value = 0.108 (p>0.005) and there is a relationship between quality of life and self care management in hypertensive patients at the Cangkol Health Center in Cirebon City in 2022 p value = 0.009 ((p<0.005).

Abstract

Scabies is a skin disease that is often overlooked (neglected disease). Scabies disease is still common and the prevalence rate is still high in Islamic boarding schools. Self-medication is carried out to treat mild to moderate illnesses without doctor's advice. Good self-medication requires good knowledge too. This research was conducted to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and the self-medication behavior of scabies at Modern X Islamic Boarding School, Cirebon Regency. This study uses an observational method with a cross-sectional approach, the sampling technique uses random sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire on the level of knowledge and self-medication behavior that had been tested for validity and reliability. The results showed that the level of self-medication knowledge of students was in the good category with a percentage of 52% (41 people) and the self-medication behavior for scabies was also included in the good category with a percentage of 76% (75 people). There is a relationship between the level of knowledge of scabies self-medication behavior with a correlation value of 0.701 and a significance of 0.00.
