Abstract

Computer computer-based information systems at an institution are often built in stages and separately. Data integration between subsystems is not well connected. The results in differences in the data structures or the number of records between one subsystem and another so that the data presented is not aligned. This study aims to design and implement a RESTful Web Service so that other information subsystems can use employee data from the Management Information System. The four stages in this research are observing the information system currently running, analyzing the data integration needs, designing and coding the RESTful Web Service API, implementing and testing the response time.

Abstract

Politeknik Negeri Cilacap as an educational institution under The Ministry of Education of The Republic of Indonesia has adopted the Work From Home (WFH) policy to suppress the spread of COVID-19. In the implementation of WFH, lecturers and employees are required to make reports. The mechanism of this report has problems, including a lack of standardized report forms, obstructed work report (logbook) approval processes by the unit’s leader, and reports that are still in Microsoft Excel files, making it difficult for the staffing department to map and calculate the employee's attendance. The purpose of this research is to design and build a logbook information system for Politeknik Negeri Cilacap that is used for online employee attendance during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research uses the Waterfall method as a system development method, with Unified Modeling Language (UML) as a design model. The result of this research is a logbook information system that was built as a tool for lecturers and employees to report their activities, and for staffing department to monitor and appraise employee performance. Based on the usability test result, this system has a 78.61% value and a “Good” predicate.

Abstract

Tracer study is a method used by several Vocational High Schools (SMK) to collect alumni data and monitor alumni progress. The problem is in monitoring the alumni who do not only stay in Cilacap but outside of the city as well. Moreover, the data collection method is still simple by only using a questionnaire form filled out when they take their diplomas. This condition is less effective because many alumni are still looking for a job, therefore it is difficult to check up on them all the time. This study aims to create a tracer study application using the waterfall method. The testing phase uses the Blackbox testing method. Based on the test results, the application can make it easier for BKK administrators to collect alumni data and help monitor the alumni progress by checking the percentage of alumni status and making it easier for alumni to fill out questionnaires. The results of the overall usability test conducted on 30 respondents resulted in the predicate "Very Good" with an average of 85.51%.

Abstract

Graduation is an inauguration activity for students who have finished studying at a university. Graduation registration at the Cilacap State Polytechnic is still done conventionally, causing problems such as students who are not registered in the toga data collection, students who do not return the toga according to the specified time limit. In addition, the large number of students makes the data collection process take longer. In this case, the authors conducted research that aims to build a website-based graduation registration information system. Making this system requires a research methodology. Among them are data collection methods that include literature studies, observations, and interviews as well as the system development method used, namely Rapid Application Development (RAD). The results of the questionnaire with a total score of 182 show that the system is very good in assisting BAAK in graduation registration services and monitoring the number of graduates, as well as helping students register for graduation and their completeness, and the system can help submit and confirm trouble-free forms.

Abstract

The productivity of eucalyptus in Indonesia is included in the low productivity group, the lack of raw materials resulting in a deficit in eucalyptus production is the cause of this. Meanwhile market demand is increasing. The large area of land in the Cilacap Regency area is not matched by its utilization, this is due to a lack of knowledge about potential land uses. There are 5 criteria for land, namely land "S1 (Highly Suitable), S2 (Quite Suitable), S3 (marginally suitable), N1 (currently not suitable) and N (not suitable forever). “Decision support methods can be used in determining land suitability, one of which is the SMARTER method. The method was chosen because determining the suitability of eucalyptus land was processed by "rank order centroid (ROC) weighting" where the existing criteria have weight based on the priority level adjusted to the ranking process. Of the 84 processed data, it was found that around 98% or 83 of the data stated that the Cilacap district was included in the S2 suitability range (Quite Appropriate). In addition, based on the results of the accuracy testing carried out, the percentage of accuracy was 80.95%. Seeing the high percentage, the decision support system using the SMARTER method is appropriate to be used to determine the suitability of eucalyptus land. “

Abstract

The Kwartir Ranting Maos office manages the Scout Movement at the sub-district level. With 39 Scout units from siaga, penggalang, to penegak levels, there is a need for efficient activity report tracking and proposal submission, along with accountability reports for completed activities. Currently, these processes are done conventionally, requiring direct submissions from Scout units to Kwarran, making it challenging to monitor ongoing and scheduled activities. This study aims to design an administrative system to streamline these processes, making them more effective, efficient, and optimal. The research findings indicate that the SIKEKWARMA system can significantly enhance the management and supervision of Scout units by the Kwartir Ranting Maos. The system allows simultaneous access to information, facilitating better coordination among all involved parties. Additionally, it improves the accountability of proposal submissions and activity reports. Overall, SIKEKWARMA supports better decision-making and communication within the Kwartir Ranting Maos.

Abstract

This research explores and compares the performance of two popular load testing tools, namely Gatling and Apache JMeter, with a focus on API performance testing. The rapid growth in web and mobile application development highlights the urgent need to ensure optimal API performance. This research was conducted to provide in-depth insight into the advantages and disadvantages of these two testing tools through the use of similar testing scenarios. The experimental method involves implementing test scenarios that include load variations and high demands on both devices. The main parameters observed include API response time, throughput, and latency. In-depth analysis was carried out on the data obtained to evaluate the reliability and efficiency of each tool. The results of this research provide a comprehensive understanding of the performance of Gatling and Apache JMeter in the context of API performance testing. These findings can provide practical guidance for software developers and testing practitioners in selecting load testing tools that suit their project needs. Recommendations for future research include expanding exploration of other load testing tools, comparison with more complex test scenarios, and integration with performance monitoring tools for more holistic analysis. Thus, this research is expected to make a significant contribution to the understanding and selection of effective load testing tools in web and mobile application development.

Abstract

This study developed a predictive model based on Random Forest algorithm to predict survival rate of Vannamei shrimp using five water quality parameters: dissolved oxygen (DO), temperature, pH, salinity, and Total Dissolved Solids (TDS). The model was trained on this data and evaluated using Mean Squared Error (MSE) and R² Score, with an MSE of 0.71 and R² Score of 1.00. Endpoint testing was conducted using Postman to verify the model response, with output parameters including anomaly_detected, recommendation, and survival rate. The model successfully detected anomalous conditions and provided recommendations according to the detected water quality parameters. Test results showed that DO and salinity had the greatest influence on survival rate, while pH, TDS, and temperature made moderate contributions.
