Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine how interconnection practices in management, policy, planning and leadership studies are focused on quality management practices set out in the SPMI at the Universitas Pasifik Morotai (UNIPAS) Quality Assurance Institute (LPM). The research method used in this study is qualitative research. Data needed in this study are primary data and secondary data. The primary data source is the Chairperson of the Universitas Pasifik Morotai (UNIPAS) Quality Assurance Institute as Quality Control and Supervision at the Universitas Pasifik Morotai (UNIPAS). Quality documents as secondary data sources. Quality Assurance, is a proof of Universitas Pasifik Morotai’s commitment to develop a quality culture. The SPMI policy is a written documentation containing an outline of an explanation for understanding, designing, and implementing SPMI in the administration of higher education services to the community so that quality culture is realized. The quality management process at the Universitas Pasifik Morotai (UNIPAS) shows that the four elements of the interconnection of management studies, policy, leadership and planning have a very strong link in the administration of higher education activities at the Universitas Pasifik Morotai (UNIPAS).

Abstract

The environmental condition around the coastal area became damaged as a result of sand mining activities resulting in physical damage to the beach. The purpose of this study is to understand the impact of coastal sand miners on the physical environment in the coastal areas of South Morotai Sub-District. This research was carried out at locations affected by sand mining, namely the coastal areas of Momujiu Village and Sabatai South Morotai Sub-District, Morotai Island Regency. From the search results in the field, there are 13 garden landowners who are included in the coastal area that has been used as a sand mining site. The results showed that 71% of presentations had a physical environmental impact and 29% had no impact on the Physical environment. Thus, the impact of sand mining around the coast on the physical environment is very bad, including damage to coastal ecosystems as a result of the loss of coastal forests, damage to farm roads between farmers' land and coastal morotai south morotai regency morotai island regency.

Abstract

Abstract

The research objective was to determine the impact of coastal mining on the social and economy of the community. Sampling and determining the measurement point in the field by means of stratified random sampling. This research was conducted in locations that are affected by coastal mining, namely the lands of the Momujiu Village and New Sabatai and Old Sabatai in Morotai Selatan District, Morotai Island Regency. From the search results in the field, it is estimated that there are around 13 land owners in the coastal area which have been used as sand mining land. Changes that occur at the economic level include changes in the livelihood system of people in coastal areas, which initially moved in the agricultural sector as the main sector of society, turning into non-agricultural communities such as sand mining workers. The social impact is a change in the interaction in the community between land owners and miners.

Abstract

Abstract

Excessive utilization (over-exploited) will have an impact on reducing the productivity of resources including jackfruit seed fish (Upeneus vittatus). This impact causes changes in abundance, productivity and community structure, such as changes in species dominance, size spectra and catch, which results in depletion of stocks and ends in the extinction of this fish population. So far there is no data and information regarding the biological aspects of the morphology of the use of jackfruit seed fish (Upeneus vittatuss) in Morotai Island Regency. The aim of this research is to analyze the relationship between length and weight of jackfruit fish (Upeneus vittatus) caught in the waters of Imam Lastori Harbor, Morotai Island Regency. Data collection was carried out directly in the field (in situ) by measuring the body length and weight of jackfruit seed fish (Upeneus vittatus). The data obtained were analyzed using simple linear regression analysis. The results of a simple linear regression analysis between the total length and weight of the jackfruit fish (Upeneus vittatus) caught in the waters of Imam Lastori harbor obtained the equation: W (weight) = 1.30 x L (length) = 1.35 indicating that for every 1 increase .30 gram units of the weight of jackfruit seeds will increase 1.35 cm units of the length of kuniran jackfruit seeds (Upeneus vittatus). The b value (exponent) of 1.35 indicates a negative allometric growth pattern. This is in accordance with the criteria for the length-weight relationship if the b value <3, then the growth form is negative allometric). Meanwhile, the determination value (R2) obtained was 0.63, meaning that 63% of the increase in fish length was due to the increase in weight (weight) of jackfruit fish (Upeneus vittatus) while 37% was caused by other factors.
