Abstract

ABSTRACT Introduction: Based on a report released by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Indonesia's Human Development Index (HDI) is a measure to determine the quality of human resources. Regular breakfast is useful to meet the energy needs of the body in carrying out optimal activities. Irregular breakfast habits can make it difficult for the stomach to adapt and if it occurs for a long time the stomach will produce excessive acid which can irritate the gastric mucosal wall. Methods: This research will be conducted with the target population of SD 37/III students in Koto Tuo Village. The sample in this study was selected by students in grades 4.5 and 6. The object of this study was the children's breakfast habits and concentration while studying. The design of this study was cross sectional, namely the breakfast habit variable and the learning concentration variable were measured at the same time. The research was conducted in June 2021. Results: From the results of the study showed that there was a significant relationship between breakfast habits and learning concentration of elementary school 37/III students in Koto Village, Kerinci Regency. Conclusions and Recommendation: Sample have a good breakfast habit category,students also have a good concentration category. The results of this study are suggested to the school to provide education to students to get used to having breakfast before leaving for school. Keywords: breakfast habits, student learning concentration ABSTRAK Pendahuluan: Berdasarkan laporan yang dirilis oleh United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Indeks Pembangunan Manusia (IPM) Indonesia yang merupakan ukuran untuk menentukan kualitas sumber daya manusia. Sarapan yang rutin berguna untuk memenuhi kebutuhan energi dalam tubuh untuk melakukan aktivitas yang optimal. Kebiasaan sarapan yang kurang teratur dapat mengakibatkan lambung sulit beradaptasi dan jika terjadi dalam waktu yang lama, lambung akan memproduksi asam secara berlebihan sehingga dapat mengiritasi dinding mukosa lambung. Metode: Sasaran populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa/i SD 37/III di Desa Koto Tuo Kabupaten Kerinci. Sampel yang dipilih adalah siswa-siswi kelas 4,5 dan 6. Objek penelitian tentang kebiasaan sarapan anak dan konsentrasinya saat belajar. Adapun desain penelitian cross sectional, yaitu mengukur variabel kebiasaan sarapan dan konsentrasi belajar yang diukur dalam waktu bersamaan. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Juni 2021. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan yang bermakna antara kebiasaan sarapan dengan konsentrasi belajar siswa-siswi SD 37/III di Desa Koto Kabupaten Kerinci Kesimpulan dan Saran: Siswa yang memiliki kebiasaan sarapan yang baik juga memiliki konsentrasi yang baik dalam belajar. Disarankan kepada pihak sekolah untuk memberikan lebih sering memberikan edukasi kepada murid-murid untuk membiasakan sarapan sebelum berangkat sekolah. Abstract

Introduction The adolescents need to have an important attitude as a tool to communicate visibly and firmly about their needs by assertive behavior. Adolescents’ assertive behavior appear due to positive self-esteem which increasing the assurance for what they are doing is valuable.Method The research is a quantitative study with correlational approach. The sample was selected by Proportionate Startified random sampling technique. The research took place in SMA Negeri 5 Kota Jambi with the amount of 105 subjects. This research uses self-esteem scale and assertive behavior scale as the measurement tools. Pearson’s product moment correlation technique is used as data analysis methods.Results The result shows that there is a significantly positive relationship between self-esteem and assertive behavior (rxy = 0,620; p<0,01). Self-esteem has 38,4% effective contribute to assertive behavior, while the remaining 61,6% was contributed by the other factors.Conclusions and Recomendation Adolescents with positive self-esteem has the ability to be assertive in their behavior, which make the adolescent feel free to express what they think and able to tell it by their saying or their doing. They also able to communicate with others, have the active visions about life by chasing what they want.Keywords: Self-esteem, assertive behavior, adolescent ABSTRAK  Pendahuluan Para remaja membutuhkan suatu sikap yang penting untuk dimiliki dalam mengkomunikasikan secara jelas dan tegas atas kebutuhan melalui kemampuan berperilaku asertif. Asertifitas pada remaja muncul karena adanya penghargaan diri yang positif terhadap dirinya yang dapat menumbuhkan keyakinan bahwa apa yang dilakukan itu sangat berharga. Para remaja membutuhkan suatu sikap yang penting untuk dimiliki dalam mengkomunikasikan secara jelas dan tegas atas kebutuhan melalui kemampuan berperilaku asertif. Asertifitas pada remaja muncul karena adanya penghargaan diri yang positif terhadap dirinya yang dapat menumbuhkan keyakinan bahwa apa yang dilakukan itu sangat berharga. Metode Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan penelitian korelasional. Pegambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Proportionate Startified random sampling. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Negeri 5 Kota Jambi. Jumlah subjek dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 105 subjek. Penelitian ini menggunakan skala harga diri dan perilaku asertif. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah teknik korelasi Pearson’s product moment. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif signifikan antara harga diri dengan perilaku asertif (rxy = 0,620; p<0,01). Harga diri memberikan sumbangan efektif sebesar 38,4% terhadap perilaku asertif sedangkan 61,6% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Kesimpulan dan Saran Remaja yang memiliki harga diri positif dapat berperilaku asertif, dimana individu merasa bebas untuk mengungkapkan apa yang ada dipikirannya dengan menyatakannya melalui kata-kata ataupun tindakan, dapat berkomunikasi dengan orang lain dari semua tingkatan, memiliki pandangan yang aktif tentang hidup, dengan cara mengejar apa yang diinginkan. Abstract

The behavior of reading food labels is one of the Balanced Nutrition Messages. How to find out the safety of packaged food to be purchased by looking at food labels, but awareness of the importance of reading labels is still low. Nutrition students at STIKes Baiturrahim obtained courses related to food labeling and to make conclusions about the extent to which nutrition students understand and practice food labels, then a comparison group was made of non-nutrition students. The aim of this study was to found the differences in knowledge and behavior in reading food labels between nutrition and non-nutrition students at STIKes Baiturrahim.This study used a cross sectional study design that was conducted at STIKes Baiturrahim Jambi in May 2019. The research respondents were final year students at STIKes Baiturrahim from a group of 70 nutrition and non-nutrition students with a purposive sampling technique. Data collection uses a questionnaire about knowledge about food labels and food label reading behavior. Data were then analyzed using the Mann Whitney test for food label knowledge and the Independent Sample t-test for reading food label behavior. The results showed that there were no differences in knowledge and behavior in reading food labels between nutrition and non-nutrition students with p-values of each variable 0,203 and 0,554. For further research, it can be continued with the same or different variables by taking a variable on one of the food label information that is on food packaging with a more in-depth research method (qualitative).

Abstract

Adolescent nutritional status can be influenced by various factors.  One factor that can influence the nutritional status of adolescents is body image. Body image can occur due to perceptions that tend to assess body size as being larger than its actual size. This is what causes most teenagers to use various unhealthy methods to achieve their satisfaction. These actions often pose a danger to themselves, such as losing weight through unhealthy diets and reducing food portions excessively, which will affect their nutritional status.  From a survey seen on Smart Fast Education Global, it was found that most teenagers tend to have a negative body image and wrong eating patterns. The aim of this research is to see the relationship between body image and nutritional status of adolescents at Smart Fast Global Education Jambi. This research is a quantitative descriptive study with a cross sectional design. Sampling used a total sampling technique of 38 people. The data taken is body image and nutritional status based on BMI/U. Data analysis used Chi-Square to test the relationship between body image and nutritional status. The results of this study showed that there was no significant relationship between body image and nutritional status, this was marked by a p value of 0.072 (> 0.05). Adolescents are advised to receive assistance in instilling a confident attitude towards their body shape and are given education regarding good food choices and correct eating arrangements to achieve normal nutritional status.

Abstract

Children are an asset of human resources and the next generation that need to be considered in their lives. Adequacy of nutrition and food is one of the most important factors in developing the quality of Human Resources. Based on data from SSGI (2021), there are 3 major regions in Jambi Province that experience nutritional problems in children based on (TB/U), one of which is Kerinci Regency (26.7%). The purpose of this study was to analyze and further examine the relationship between nutritional status and learning achievement in fourth grade elementary school children in Siulak Distric . This research is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design. The location of this research was conducted in several schools that had the largest population representing 17 elementary schools with A, B, and C accreditation, in the Siulak District, namely SDN IT AL -Madina Telago Biru (accreditation A), SDN 176/III Siulak Kecil Mudik (Accreditation B), SDN 87/III Air Terjun (Accreditation C). This research was conducted from July to August 2022. The population in the study was 1970 people. The sample is 95 people with purposive sampling technique. The statistical test used is the chi square test. The results showed that most of the elementary school children in Siulak District had normal nutritional status (81.1%), with good academic achievement (70.5%). There is a significant relationship between nutritional status and learning achievement of elementary school children in Siulak District (p value = 0.011). It is hoped that the elementary school will cooperate with the local health center in improving the nutritional status of children so as to create good learning achievements for all students

Abstract

Of the many problems that occur in Indonesia, one of the problems that is still crucial and has a serious impact on the quality of human resources (HR), namely nutritional problems, Kadarzi is a family with balanced nutritional behavior that is able to recognize, prevent and overcome nutritional problems in every member of the family. Families are said to have good fertility behavior if they have implemented the five indicators of fertility, namely weighing regularly, giving exclusive breastfeeding, eating a variety of foods, using iodized salt and consuming nutritional supplements. The purpose of this study was to find out the relationship of knowledge about the concept of Kadarzi to Posyandu Activities, Exclusive Breastfeeding and Use of Iodized Salt in the working area of the Pondok Tinggi District Health Center. The research design is quantitative with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all families who had children under five aged 6-48 months, 514 families, samples was 81 people with the accidental random sampling technique. The statistical test used is the Chi-Square Test with a standard p-value ≥ 0.05. Based on the results of research that has a concentration of <5 indicators 47.8% of children under five, data that has a concentration of 5 indicators is 42.2% of children under five. Meanwhile, activities at Posyandu were 82.6% for toddlers. it is known that there is a significant relationship between the nutritional awareness family relationship and toddler status. It is hoped that mothers can increase their knowledge, especially about the levels of nutrition, so that they can improve the behavior of families who are aware of nutrition
