Abstract

Abstract

In the beginning, God created humans in His image and likeness. However, humans prefer to disobey and rebel against God. Because of one person's disobedience, all of humanity was contaminated by this sin (Rom. 3:23). This means that sin is inherent in humans. God loves humanity more than any other creation. Because of God's love, he sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to save mankind from the bondage of sin. Jesus Christ has come to the world and has completed the work of salvation on the cross when He said tetelestai it means it is finished. However, there are still many people who do not believe who do not know the meaning of this word and are not sure that Jesus' work in this world has been completed perfectly. There are still many believers who do not want to be involved in preaching the Gospel. Based on the background of this problem, the aim of this writing is first, to find out the theological meaning of Jesus' statement regarding the words It is Finished in John 19:30. Second, to know what is meant by mission service. Third, to find the essence of the finished statement in John 19:30 regarding mission service. The research method used in this writing is a qualitative method using a hermeneutic approach and literature study. Based on this, the author concludes that the word finished is the culmination of the mission itself. This means that the word finished cannot be separated from mission service. Jesus has truly completed the work of salvation very perfectly on the cross. This is good news for the world and it is the believer's responsibility to proclaim it.Pada mulanya Allah menciptakan manusia menurut gambar dan rupa-Nya.

Abstract

This article discusses how the use of digital technology can enhance the effectiveness of pastoral supervision within the church, particularly in the context of modern pastoral ministry. As the digital era continues to evolve, the need for an adaptive approach to shepherding has become increasingly urgent. Traditional methods of pastoral supervision are now shifting toward digital engagement through platforms such as WhatsApp, Zoom, Google Meet, and other online communication tools. This study employs a qualitative method with a literature review and interview approach, aiming to explore a deeper understanding of technology-based pastoral supervision practices in today’s church context. Data was collected through the review of relevant literature and supported by interviews with pastors from various regions. This approach enables the researcher to analyze the phenomenon holistically and contextually, taking into account the dynamics of ministry as well as the geographical and digital challenges faced by the church. The findings indicate that technology serves not merely as a technical tool but holds transformational potential in nurturing and supervising the spiritual growth of congregants. These insights are reinforced by the experiences of pastors who have successfully integrated digital media into their ministry practices in creative and contextual ways. This article offers an innovative contribution in the form of a proposed model for technology-based pastoral supervision that remains grounded in spiritual values, pastoral intimacy, and relevance to contemporary developments. The approach demonstrates that when used wisely, technology can strengthen ministry without diminishing the spiritual connection between pastors and their congregations.

Abstract

This article discusses the role of the Holy Spirit in the ministry of God's servants based on 1 Thessalonians 1:4–10 and its impact on the growth of the congregation's faith. Genuine ministry cannot be separated from the presence and work of the Holy Spirit, as the Spirit provides power, conviction, and exemplary character in service. The purpose of this study is to analyze in depth how the role of the Holy Spirit is manifested in the ministry of God’s servants and its effect on the quality of the congregation’s spiritual growth. The method used is qualitative with a descriptive-analytical approach, focusing on literature review and conceptual analysis based on relevant theological and practical sources. The analysis shows that the Holy Spirit plays a central role in equipping and guiding ministers, so that the ministry becomes not only informative but also transformative. When ministry is carried out in dependence on the Holy Spirit, the congregation experiences true spiritual growth through life transformation, faithfulness in following Christ, and perseverance in hope. In conclusion, the role of the Holy Spirit in ministry is essential for the growth of the congregation’s faith. The contemporary church must emphasize the active involvement of the Holy Spirit in every aspect of ministry in order to produce spiritually mature believers who grow in faith and become more like Christ.
