Abstract

Abstract: Throughout the ages, the discourses on leadership concepts in Islam have been dynamic. One of the factors is the debate between Islamic scholars on hadiths related to leadership. Ibn Kamāl, a scholar who was also a Turkish bureaucrat, was the first cleric who gave commentaries on hadits in Riyāḍu al-Ṣālihīn, including those in leadership theme. He was close to the throne during his life, and some said he had released some fatwas that enabled the sultan’s policies. Having learned about his unique background, this study aims to provide explanations about Ibn Kamal’s concept of leadership based on his commentaries on hadits in Riyāḍu al-Ṣālihīn and the influence of the political milieu in the hadith commentaries. Therefore, this study employs a thematic and historical-sociological approach to analyze the data. It results in some findings that according to Ibn Kamal, leadership is a process performed by its elements to achieve the collective purpose. Leadership expressed by the term imārah refers to leadership within the scope of government. Therefore, leaders and people must fulfil their obligations to realise good governance. Although this syarah was written in a context in which Ibn Kamal was very close to the ruler, even he was part of it, but the political context did not influence him in the explanation of the leadership hadith he wrote.  Key Words: Ibn Kamāl, Imārah, hadith commentary Abstrak: Selama berabad-abad, dinamika tentang konsep kepemimpinan dalam Islam telah diperdebatkan.

Abstract

Halal tourism is one of the current trends in sharia business trends (State of the Global Islamic Economy 2017-2018). This proves that the term halal which was formerly just something that is permissible in Islam, has now become a necessity and lifestyle for Muslim communities in the country even on the international scene. Because these tours use halal branding that cannot be separated from Islamic sharia, this study aims to explain the concept of halal tourism in the Qur’anic perspective. This research is a qualitative research through research literature sourced from interpretation books both offline and online, journals relating to halal tourism propositions and other primary text sources. This study uses a descriptive analytical approach. The results of the literature review analysis show that the application of halal concepts in tourism is proof of the flexibility of Islamic sharia at a practical level. The argument regarding the command to consume halal products has been written in the Holy Qur’an, Surat al-Baqarah, verses 162 and 172, and looking for something lawful for every Muslim in daily life is to have a law that must be carried out, this is based on the Prophet’s words: “looking for the lawful is obligatory for every Muslim” (HR Thabrani). The tourism in the Qur’anic perspective is contained in the following verses: Q.S. Al-Mulk verse 15, Q.S. Al-’Ankabut verse 20, Q.S. Ali ‘Imron verses 137 and 191, Q.S. Al-’An’am verse 11, Q.S. An-Naml verse 69, QS. Al-Mu’min verses 21 and 64, Q.S. An-Nahl verse 36, Q.S. Ar-Rum verse 42. The sentence سِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ in the Qur’an other than as a proposition for travel, the sentence instructs people to explore and explore all of Allah’s creation, because Allah also likes aesthetics or beauty. The application of the concept of halal on tourism is always accompanied by the implementation of the concept of thayyib and does not cause damage, because the combination of the concepts of halal and thayyib in travel will result in tourism full of blessings

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Islamic bank customers to the understanding of usury. This type of research is literature review research. The type of data collected in this study is primary data, namely data obtained from various current and relevant literature regarding the level of understanding of Islamic bank customers about usury, such as from books, journals, articles, papers, and other related reading sources. The data analysis technique of this research was carried out using the data analysis technique of the Miles and Huberman model. The data analysis activities of this model include data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing or verification. The results of a systematic literature review found that usury is an additional take, both in buying and selling transactions and lending and borrowing in vanity. The prohibition of usury in the Qur’an was revealed in stages, preceded by a series of moral teachings relevant to the theme of the prohibition of usury. Conventional banks use the interest system to support their operations. In contrast to the interest system prevailing in conventional banks, Islamic banks determine the amount of return and profit sharing based on the amount of profit sharing between the customer and the bank without determining the percentage that must be paid by the customer. Bank interest is an evolution of the concept of usury that cannot be separated from the development of financial institutions. Riba in modern banking makes business decline and become unproductive. Education and religion can be used as the basis for mu’amalah for all mankind, especially Muslims. Islamic education can lead humans to become individuals who are able to survive in this world and the hereafter (al-falah). Education about usury provides important information that can be a guide for human life in contemporary mu’amalah.
