Abstract

The low interest of elementary school students in athletics is caused by conventional teaching methods and limited facilities. This community service program aims to socialize and train teachers on implementing circuit-based Kids' Athletics for PE teachers and students in partner public elementary schools. The method relies on Technology Transfer and Participatory Assistance approaches, consisting of policy socialization, technical workshops on self-modifying equipment assembly, and direct on-field coaching clinics. Evaluation results indicate a significant increase in teachers' cognitive competence, with the average score rising from an initial 58.3% to 89.7% post-training. Psychomotorically, teachers successfully assembled and managed four circuit game stations (Formula One, Shuttle Hurdle, Frog Jump, Turbo Throwing) safely. Students' psychological responses after the intervention also showed highly increased interest in athletics, reaching 86.5% (exceeding the initial target of ≥ 80%). The program concluded with the donation of eco-friendly modified athletic equipment packages and printed modules to ensure independent program sustainability. In conclusion, this synergy of socialization and training effectively overcomes physical infrastructure barriers while enhancing joyful and inclusive PE instruction

Abstract

Abstract

This research aims to improve volleyball educational outcomes through the application of engaging learning methodologies within the framework of Physical Education and Health Education.Basic techniques including the down serve, top serve, smash, block, down pass, and up pass were studied. An intervention designed to improve volleyball learning outcomes through an engaging methodology was conducted at Ma'arif Wongsorejo Junior High School during the 2024/2025 academic year. The results of this study demonstrated significant improvements in the educational outcomes of students at Ma'arif Wongsorejo Junior High School who participated in the cat-and-cat game methodology.A comprehensive analysis covering three aspects of educational outcomes—psychomotor, affective, and cognitive—initially revealed that among a group of 30 students, 18 students passed while 12 failed, representing a psychomotor achievement rate of 24%, affective at 20.6%, and cognitive at 22.8%. The average score at the beginning of the study was 60%, indicating that 40% of students failed. In cycle I, significant improvements in educational outcomes were recorded, with 24 students passing and 6 failing, resulting in an average score of 80%, with 20% of students failing. The psychomotor, affective, and cognitive achievement rates were 25.1%, 22%, and 25.5%, respectively. In Cycle II, students demonstrated further progress in educational outcomes, with 27 students passing and 3 failing, culminating in psychomotor, affective, and cognitive achievement levels of 27.4%, 25.5%, and 26.4%, respectively, and an average score of 90%, culminating in a 90% pass rate among students, thus concluding the action research without progressing to additional cycles.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of varying Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) density in basketball shoe midsoles on plantar pressure distribution and subjective comfort. Using a repeated measures design with 20 basketball players, three EVA density variations were tested: low (0.15 g/cm³), medium (0.25 g/cm³), and high (0.35 g/cm³). Plantar pressure data were collected using in-shoe sensors during vertical landing, cutting, and sprinting maneuvers. The results indicated that medium-density EVA provided the most even pressure distribution (205 ±pm 10 kPa at the heel) compared to low density, which caused lateral instability, or high density, which drastically increased peak pressure (245 ±pm 15 kPa). ANOVA analysis confirmed a significant influence of density on foot kinetic variables (p < 0.001). In conclusion, an EVA density of 0.25 g/cm³ is the optimal point for balancing shock absorption and responsive stability to mitigate the risk of injuries such as plantar fasciitis.
