Abstract

Innovation in the Islamic education curriculum is essential to respond to the challenges of a multicultural society characterized by religious, ethnic, and cultural diversity. This study aims to analyze the concept, forms, and implications of curriculum innovation in Islamic education based on the values of religious moderation. Using a qualitative approach through literature review and conceptual analysis, this research explores how principles of religious moderation such as tolerance, balance (tawassuth), justice (‘adl), and respect for diversity can be systematically integrated into curriculum objectives, learning materials, teaching strategies, and assessment systems. The findings indicate that curriculum innovation grounded in religious moderation contributes to strengthening inclusive religious understanding, preventing extremism, and fostering harmonious social relations among learners in multicultural settings. Furthermore, the integration of local wisdom, contextual learning, and dialogical pedagogical approaches enhances students’ critical thinking, empathy, and civic responsibility. This study concludes that a religious moderation-based Islamic education curriculum serves as a strategic framework for nurturing moderate, open-minded, and socially responsible Muslim generations capable of living peacefully in a pluralistic society.

Abstract

This study explores the construction of Islamic identity among university students within the Ibnurusyd Campus Da'wah Community in the digital era. Using a qualitative case study approach, the research analyzes how students build their religious identity through both offline and online engagements. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis of digital content produced by the community. The findings reveal that identity construction occurs through a combination of spiritual mentoring, digital da'wah strategies, and socio-cultural participation. The community employs integrative, participatory, and reflective da'wah methods while emphasizing religious moderation and digital literacy. Despite challenges such as information fragmentation, declining offline engagement, and limited digital capacity, the digital sphere also offers opportunities for wider outreach and youth empowerment. This study contributes to the discourse on youth religiosity in the digital age and provides a model for contextual Islamic identity formation among students.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of gamification in Al-Quran learning at Madrasah Diniyah al-Amiin Kotabumi as an effort to enhance students' engagement, motivation, and learning outcomes. The research aims to analyze how gamification elements such as points, badges, leaderboards, and interactive challenges are integrated into the learning process, as well as their impact on students’ interest and memorization skills. A qualitative descriptive method was employed through observation, interviews with teachers and students, and documentation review. The findings reveal that gamification strategies successfully increase student participation and create a more enjoyable learning atmosphere, which in turn improves students’ ability to memorize and understand the Qur’an. However, the study also identifies several challenges, including limited teacher training in digital tools and the need for adequate facilities. Overall, gamification proves to be an effective approach for optimizing Al-Quran learning in a traditional madrasah setting when supported by proper planning and resources.
