Abstract

Abstract: Rue (Ruta angustifolia (L.) Pers.) Including rare medicinal plants. Cultured in vitro method is one alternative method of propagation in plants inggu. The study was conducted from July to December 2011 at the Laboratory of Botany, Nasional University Integrated Laboratory. The purpose of this study is to obtain the best BA concentration on shoot multiplication of rue. Explants used in the form of a stem segment (segment 1-10) of the rue plant. The medium used was MS medium with the addition of PGR ¾ BA in some degree of concentration as the treatment is 1.0, 2.0, 3.0; 4.0 and 5.0 ppm of 2,4-D was added to 0.3 ppm, and five replications. Data processing is done by using SPSS 19 for Windows. The results showed that administration of PGR combination of BA with different concentrations of 2,4-D +0.3 ppm in ¾ MS medium responded in the form of plant establishment and shoot multiplication rue. The analysis of variance showed that administration of BA with a concentration of BA 1.0, 2.0, 3.0; 4.0 and 5.0 ppm effect at both the number and length of shoots rue. Key words: rue, benzyl adenine, multiplication.

The data in this study were obtained from the results of interviews, questionnaires, results of action observations, and evaluation results. This research was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle is carried out based on the stages: preparing an activity plan, carrying out actions, observing, and analyzing followed by reflection. After taking action, it is proven that the percentage of completeness of student learning outcomes is increasing. In the first cycle of the first meeting the percentage of student learning completeness reached 60%, at the second meeting it was 100% complete. The similarities of the research carried out were increasing the use of the same methods and subjects while the differences were motivation and the class being researched. Learning became fun. so that students do not get bored easily.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the transformation of local knowledge of Lubuk Larangan toward tourism. The research method uses an ethnographic qualitative approach. This method is implemented because this research has a connection to customary societies. To gather data was used as an in-depth interview. Samples are selected through the purposive technique. The result is probed meticulously through the triangulation technique and triangulation sources. The result shows that customary community conferences locally impact the conservation of nature and fish in Lubuk Larangan. Deliberations determine the time of harvesting fish in the forbidden pit area and determine the area used as a prohibited area. There were 10 ninik mamak in attendance and one ninik mamak as the leader of the ten ninik mamak. Another finding is that democratic principles such as decisions on the basis of togetherness for the common interest are applied to the forbidden area. The last finding is that there is a transformation of social and cultural values in the Lubuk Larangan area. Customary rules are very strict, but interfering with the younger generation to overhaul traditional rules makes the traditional leaders adapt to the wishes of the younger generation to serve as fishing tourism areas. Several considerations were found at the time the Lubuk Larangan area had not been changed. The rules were detrimental because when the event opened the Lubuk Prohibition area, it resulted in the exhaustion of fish, and profits were only obtained 30 million in 3 years. When it has been converted into fishing tourism, it impacts increasing profits to reach 30 million in a month. Plus, the fish will not become extinct because the fish caught when fishing will be released again. People even get the opportunity to offer tent rental services, sell food and drinks, become tour guides, and offer to lodge for tourists who come.

Abstract

The Three Threats to Reproductive Health (KRR Triad) refer to serious issues that can endanger adolescent reproductive health: sexually transmitted infections (STIs), HIV/AIDS, and drug abuse. These threats often lead to harmful consequences such as reproductive diseases, unintended pregnancies, abortion, and drug addiction. The root causes include insufficient knowledge among adolescents and negative attitudes toward prevention efforts. This Community Service initiative, titled Empowerment of Adolescents with Behavior Toward the Three Basic Threats to Reproductive Health (KRR Triad), was conducted in Bangun Rejo Village, Tanjung Morawa District, Deli Serdang Regency, in 2025. The program aimed to increase adolescents’ understanding of the KRR Triad, including its definitions, categories, impacts, and prevention strategies, while also fostering a proactive attitude among youth in addressing these threats. The participants were adolescents residing in Bangun Rejo Village. The activities were conducted from March to May 2025. The method involved a lecture-based educational session, accompanied by a pre-test and post-test to measure the participants’ knowledge and understanding. Prior to the intervention, 46.6% (14 participants) demonstrated poor knowledge regarding the KRR Triad. After the educational sessions, knowledge significantly improved, with 56.6% (17 participants) showing increased understanding. These findings indicate that structured education on reproductive health threats can effectively enhance adolescents' knowledge and potentially influence their behavior toward healthier choices. In conclusion, the community service program successfully empowered adolescents in Bangun Rejo Village with essential knowledge and awareness regarding the KRR Triad, underlining the importance of continuous reproductive health education to mitigate the risk of future health problems among youth
