Abstract

This study aims to determine the success of the drill and practice learning model in improving student achievement and learning response. The techniques and tools for obtaining data are the test method in the form of student work sheets, the observation method in the form of student response assessment format, and the questionnaire method in the form of written questions along with answer choices and data processed using descriptive statistical methods. Applying the drill and practice learning model succeeded in improving the ability to aksara wresastra and pangangge suara characters in class III A SD No. 3 Benoa 2018/2019 school year. This can be seen from the average value of the test results in the first cycle of 79.8 or 71.87% with sufficient predicate, and increased in the second cycle stage by 81.42 or 93.75% with a good predicate. In the response of students experiencing success it is evident from the average value of the first cycle of 78.32 or 71.87% with sufficient predicate, then increased in the second cycle of 86.71 or 93.75% with a good predicate.

Abstract

[Title: The reflexion of proto Austronesia to Kabola, Hamap, and Klon protolanguage in Alor Island, Nusa Tenggara Timur] Making data of the local languages in Nusa Tenggara Timur need to be observed, especially the local languages in Alor Island. The observer analyses the data collection in the languages of Kabola, Hamap, and Klon by the study of comparative historic linguistic.This observation uses synchronous approach, to know the language development in a period. This study is based on the result of PAN reconstruction of experts, such as: Demwolff, Dyen, Blust, Lopez, compiled by the list of Austronesia reconstruction composed by Wurm and Wilson. Comparative method used in this observation is sin comparative, to find the characteristics of similarity and the difference between relative languages that are alive in the same period. The language phenomena that is analysed is descriptive, firstly the data that is collected is the data of nowdays period. Reflection of PAN to Protolanguage Kabola, Hamap, and Klon (PKbHpKl) are found reflection of vocal phoneme PAN, vocal series of PAN, consonant phoneme of PAN, and cluster of consonant PAN on PKbHpKl. Some phonemes are reflected from Proto PAN to Protolanguage Kabola, Hamap, and Klon show that the three languages are derivativeof Proto PAN and Austronesia.

Abstract

[Title: Linguistic Study of Comparative Historis on Sound Change Patterns] The local languages in Nusa Tenggara Timur need to be observed, analysed, constructed, and conserved. Data research phenomena is done deeply approaching especially the local languages, which exist and develop in Alor Island. The observer analyses language phenomena on pattern of sound change in the languages of Kabola, Hamap, and Klon in Alor Island. The complete data of the three language are analysed by the study of comparative historic linguistic. The observation that analyses the languages in Alor Island use the synchronous approach, to know the language development in a period. The theory is used to analyse the pattern of sound change in the languages of Kabola, Hamap, and Klon in Alor Island is Blust (2013). Hock, (1988), Crowley (1987), Chomsky (1968), Dyen (1978), Schane (1973), Bynon (1979), Antila (1972), Jeffers and Lehiste (1979), and Keraf (1996). The result of observation is hoped that the young generation as local language speaker realize and understand that their languages are the same origin of languages so they are reconstructed, developed, and conserved so that they can support national language.

Abstract

The study of local languages in Alor Island is needed in-depth. Local government efforts to foster and develop local languages have been made as an effort to preserve local languages. The research on the phenomenon of local languages in Alor Island is carried out by language experts. The study is discussed about Sinonimi and Hamap languages in Alor Island. The data collection of these two languages are analyzed with the theory of meaning relation. The data collection is compiled by listening and conversational methods, namely by listening to informant talks and inviting conversation. The data collection method is assisted with the interview method. This method id aimed to explore data optimally about several things in depth. Based on the analysis result, the vocabulary of Kabola and Hamap languages were found synonymy phenomenon. Vocabularies that have similarities and resemblance of these forms can be grouped into (1) synonymy by the removal and addition of vowel and consonant phonemes at the front and back positions of words; (2) synonymy with the relation of vowel and consonant phonemes in the middle and back positions of words; (3) synonymy with the relationship, addition, and omission of syllables in the first and second syllables; and (4) synonymy with the same absolute form or Iberian.

Abstract

The development of language skills, especially the development of Balinese vocabulary for early childhood, aims to enable children to communicate verbally with their environment. The development of Balinese vocabulary at an early age that is implanted is the vocabulary of Alus or Kruna Alus. Balinese vocabulary that is classified as Kruna Alus is vocabulary that has a subtle sense of value or is respectful of respectable groups, depending on the social status of the interlocutor and the things being discussed. Basic vocabulary in Balinese developed by early childhood involves: kinship terms, names of body parts, pronouns, basic numerals, main verbs, basic state words, and universal objects. The basic vocabulary is taught to children for language teaching. The study of the development of Balinese vocabulary is presented in a qualitative descriptive manner. Data were collected from several sources as a reference library. Vocabulary teaching has a very important role in improving children's understanding and communication. The more vocabulary they have, the greater the opportunity for children to learn a language. Children are expected to be able to acquire large amounts of new vocabulary and understand and understand the meaning of the vocabulary so that they are able to use them properly and correctly. Language development methods, especially vocabulary in early childhood, are: storytelling method, conversing method, question and answer method, and role playing method.

Abstract

On August 17th, 1945, in the name of the Indonesian nation, IR. Sukarno, accompanied by Drs. Mohammad Hatta, proclaimed Indonesian Independence. News of the proclamation was known in Bali on August 23rd, 1945, it was caused by the poor communication and transportation at that time. Although we had achieved independence, Japan in Bali still showed a powerful attitude. To optain weapons, fighters in Bali carried out a general attack on Japanese barracks throughout Bali. This general attack was failed. Furthermore, fighters asked for weapons assistance to Java and reported the situation in Bali. After approximately 3 months in Java, I Gusti Ngurah Rai and his friends returned home to Bali. The area was headed to the village of Munduk Malang in Tabanan regency. From the village of Munduk Malang that the struggle continued by attacking NICA posts around this village. With this attrack, in a short time the position of the fighters was known to NICA. Furthermore, it was decided by I Gusti Ngurah Rai to make a long journey or “Long March”. This jouney started from Bengkel Anyar to Singaraja and continuing to the east. On this journey the fighters carried out attacks in Bon village on June, 13th 1946 in North Badung village.
