Abstract

ABSTRACT This aims of this study is to comprehend the increase in the critical thinking skills of PGSD students through the implementation of social inquiry models in elementary social studies education courses. The population of this study were all 3rd semester students of the PGSD FKIP Unla study program. Sampling was carried out by using saturated sampling technique, where all members of the population were sampled, class A01 as a control class that applied conventional learning and class A02 as an experimental class that was treated with social inquiry learning models. The data in this study were obtained through the results of the pretest and posttest using the critical thinking essay test instrument. The results of this study indicate that there are differences in the increase in the critical thinking skills of PGSD students in the SD social studies course after the social inquiry learning model is applied. Beside that, the critical thinking skills of PGSD students in the Elementary Social Sciences Education course after applying the social inquiry learning model are better than the control class using conventional learning methods. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa PGSD melalui penerapan model inkuiri sosial dalam mata kuliah pendidikan IPS SD. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa semester 3 program studi PGSD FKIP Unla. Penarikan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik sampling jenuh, dimana seluruh anggota populasi dijadikan sampel, yaitu kelas A01 dijadikan kelas kontrol yang menerapkan pembelajaran konvensional dan kelas A02 dijadikan kelas eksperimen yang mendapatkan perlakuan model pembelajaran inkuiri sosial. Data yang dalam penelitian ini diperoleh melalui hasil pretes dan postes dengan menggunakan instrumen tes uraian berpikir kritis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa PGSD pada mata kuliah Pendidikan IPS SD setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri sosial. Selain itu, kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa PGSD pada mata kuliah Pendidikan IPS SD setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri sosial lebih baik daripada kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the application of Value Clarification Technique (VCT) to ecoliteracy and critical thinking skills of elementary school students in learning Social Science. The method used in this study is a quasi experimental design with non-equivalent control group design, using the two study groups. Subjects in this study were students of class IVSDN Cijerah Indah, Bandung Kulon District Bandung City. The experimental group was given the treatment of learning Value Clarification Technique (VCT) and the control group was given conventional learning. The results showed that in general there is a difference between learners ecoliteracy experimental class and control class and critical thinking skills among learners experimental class and control class after each class has been getting treatment that has been set.

Abstract

Indonesia has various tribes or ethnicities scattered in various islands. These tribes have a wealth of knowledge, and local wisdom as a hereditary tradition that are useful for the modern society because of their closeness to nature, for example the tradition of managing plants traditionally. Jengkol (Pithecellobium jiringa (Jack) Prain.) is widely known by the Indonesian community, easily found in forests so that a few people cultivate the plant. Cimanggu Village is an area where people still have knowledge from generation to generation in terms of managing jengkol. This study aimed to document the ethnobotany of jengkol as a food plant. The study employed a qualitative descriptive method using interview with 30 respondents obtained by snowball sampling technique. The results showed that only 10% of respondents still remembered the processing of Jengkol. The abundance of Jengkol in Cimanggu Village has decreased due to a low interest in the cultivation of Jengkol. There are three types of jengkol, i.e. Jengkol Ngora, Jengkol Kolot, and Sepi, that are known within the community, each Jengkol has different characteristics, processing methods, and uses.

Abstract

Kebiasaan merupakan cara bertindak yang diperoleh melalui belajar secara berulang-ulang, yang pada akhirnya menjadi menetap dan bersifat otomatis. Kebiasaan belajar berhubungan erat dengan hasil belajar. Peneliti melakukan penelitian bertujuan untuk melihat apakah ada hubungan antara kebiasaan belajar peserta didik dengan hasil belajar peserta didik SMA. Populasi yang diambil adalah peserta didik kelas X MIPA SMAN 1 Ampek Angkek. Sampel yang diambil dalam penelitian ini adalah 2 kelas. Data diperoleh dari hasil analisis angket yang tehal diisi peserta didik dan hasil belajar peserta didik. Penelitian yang dilakukan memperoleh hasil adanya hubungan yang positif antara kebiasaan beajar peserta didik dengan hasil belajar peserta didik.

Abstract

The community of Gunung Bunder Dua Village, Bogor Regency is one area that still has plant knowledge and local wisdom in their daily life. This research aims to reveal the local wisdom of Gunung Bunder Dua villagers, Bogor Regency. The method used in the form of direct observation in the field with interview by selected speaker. This research was conducted from 17th June to 17th July 2019 at the village of Gunung Bunder Dua, Bogor Regency, West Java. The observations recorded were 72 species and 40 plant families, with some varieties of uses, namely 19 species of food plants, 56 species of medicinal plants and 3 species of economic value plants. The  result of this reseach are used as source of biology learning such as a video containing ethnobotany information.Abstrak Masyarakat Desa Gunung Bunder Dua, Kabupaten Bogor termasuk salah satu daerah yang masih memiliki pengetahuan tumbuhan dan kearifan lokal dalam kehidupan sehari-harinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap kearifan lokal masyarakat desa Gunung Bunder Dua, Kabupaten Bogor. Metode yang dilakukan berupa observasi langsung di lapangan dengan wawancara kepada narasumber terpilih. Penelitian ini dilakukan dari tanggal 17 Juni – 17 Juli 2019 bertempat di Desa Gunung Bunder Dua, Kabupaten Bogor, Jawa Barat. Terdapat 72 spesies dan 40 famili tumbuhan, dengan beragam kegunaan yaitu tumbuhan pangan 19 spesies, tumbuhan obat 56 spesies, dan tumbuhan bernilai ekonomi sebanyak 3 spesies. Hasil penelitian ini dijadikan sumber belajar biologi berupa video yang berisikan informasi etnobotani.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pemahaman konsep matematis pada mata pelajaran matematika bangun datar. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui penerapan model Diskursus Multi Representasi (DMR) dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dalam materi bangun datar di sekolah dasar, dengan rincian tujuan mengukur peningkatan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dengan menggunakan model Diskursus Multi Representasi (DMR, dan mengukur perbedaan peningkatan pemahaman konsep matematis setelah menerapkan model Diskursus Multi Representasi (DMR. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu kuasi eksperimen. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 3 Pamalayan. Sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan sampel jenuh yaitu seluruh kelas IV SD Negeri 3 Pamalayan, kelas IV-A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas IV-B sebagai kelas kontrol dengan masing- masing kelas berjumlah 22 orang.Hasil dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas eksperimen dibanding dengan kelas kontrol, dan terdapat perbedaan peningkatan antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol dengan kategori sedang.
