Abstract

Evaluation of the Internship instrument development program is an instrument that has been developed and then used to evaluate an Internship program of TKJ competencies in Vocational Schools which includes input components such as students, productive teachers, curriculum, and Sarpras, process components including student readiness, companion teacher performance, companion performance in the business and industrial world, the output of the Internship program benefits students and the business world and the industrial world. This research approach uses the Research & Development Model according to (Borg, WR & Gall, M D. (2003)). In collecting data using a questionnaire, interview, observation, and documentation instrument. The validity of the instrument was analyzed by bivariate correlations between the scores of each indicator with the total score, the reliability of the instrument was analyzed by using the alpha Cronbach. This study showed a result including input components 98,9%, process 96,6%, and product 96,7%, the instrument developed was valid and classified as very good, the reliability coefficient of student questionnaire 0.963, productive teacher 0,981, accompanying teacher 0,942, business associate and industrial world 0,961.

Abstract

Based on the survey in the field, it is shown that the job satisfaction of teachers at SMKN Bintan, Riau Islands is still low. This is suspected of having something to do with interpersonal communication and teacher work motivation. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research to test its validity. This study aims to reveal thecontribution of interpersonal communication and work motivation to teacher job satisfactionn at SMKN Bintan Regency, Riau Islands. The hypotheses proposed in this study are: (1) interpersonal communication contributes to teacher job satisfaction, (2) work motivation contributes to teacher job satisfaction, (3) interpersonal communication and work motivation jointly contribute to teacher job satisfaction. The population in this study were all teachers of SMKN Bintan, Riau Islands, amounting to 135 people. The research sample amounted to 65 people who were taken by using stratified proportional random sampling technique. The research instrument used is a rating scale and a Likert Scale model questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. The research data were analyzed by correlation and regression techniques. The results of data analysis show that: (1) Interpersonal communication contributes to teacher job satisfaction by 28.4%, (2) Work motivation contributes to teacher job satisfaction by 58.1%, (3) Interpersonal communication and work motivation together contribute to teacher job satisfaction by 70.3%. The achievement level of the teacher's job satisfaction score of 86.18% is in the satisfied category, and for interpersonal communication 82.47% is in the good category while for teacher work motivation 86.35 the ideal score is in the high category.

Abstract

As one of the efforts to produce Sumber Human Resources (HR) who have century competence 21st, a learning design is needed which integrates skills or 21st century skills. By including students are involved in remembering, understanding, apply, analyze, evaluate as well create both in scientific theory and at the time their daily life. A review is conducted on the state-of-the-art methods using the preferred reporting items for reviews and meta-analyses (PRISMA) guideline. We review literature from several publications and analyze STEM approach is a very appropriate approach to use in 21st century learning. After applying STEM approach, students are expected to be able mastering scientific and technological literacy. In learning there is a process of interaction between educators and students and learning resources in a learning environment to achieve learning goals. Learning is done using learning strategies in facilitating the teaching and learning process. So that the process can be carried out properly and conveyed correctly, STEM learning is carried out which can integrate knowledge, skills and values of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to be able to solve a problem related to learning in the context of everyday life.

Abstract

Surface roughness is an important parameter in turning processes, as it directly affects the performance and service life of mechanical components. This study aims to examine the influence of feed rate, spindle speed, and coolant application on the estimated surface roughness (Raest) of ST 37 steel under conventional turning conditions. A 2³ full factorial experimental design was employed, involving eight treatment combinations consisting of two feed rate levels (0.040 and 0.100 mm/rev), two spindle speed levels (315 and 400 rpm), and two cooling conditions (with and without coolant). Surface roughness estimation was carried out using digital image analysis with ImageJ software based on optical microscope images. The analysis utilized gray-level intensity distributions, which were then converted into roughness values using an empirical scaling approach. The results indicate that increasing the feed rate led to a rise in Raest ranging from 1.74% to 7.11%, while higher spindle speeds contributed to an increase in surface roughness between 4.54% and 11.91%. In contrast, the use of coolant reduced surface roughness by an average of 9.20%, mainly due to its role in minimizing heat and friction during machining. The optimal parameter combination was obtained at a spindle speed of 315 rpm and a feed rate of 0.040 mm/rev with coolant, producing an Raest value of 1.495 µm, which falls within ISO roughness class N7. Overall, all specimens were classified within ISO N7, indicating a semi-finishing surface quality.
