Abstract

Pengembangan energi alternatif mutlak diperlukan agar terciptanya konservasi energi yang memanfaatkan energi terbarukan dan lebih ramah lingkungan dibandingkan dengan energi fosil. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan survey potensi sungai khususnya di Desa Lubuk Gadang merupakan salah satu desa terpencil yang belum teraliri listrik PLN, terletak pada kawasan Taman Nasional Kerinci Sebelat (TNKS) guna memenuhi kebutuhan listrik masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan adanya studi kelayakan potensi air sungai yang diukur agar menghasilkan Pembangkit Tenaga Listrik baik skala mikro ataupun minihidro. Desa Lubuk Gadang Nagari Kambang Kecamatan Lengayang berada di Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan Provinsi Sumatera Barat, dengan koordinat pada sekitar 1° 23.51"  - 1° 45.54"  LS / 100° 40.38" - 101° 50 " BT. Hasil kajian menunjukan bahwa pada lokasi kajian layak dibangun pembangkit tenaga listrik tenaga air, dengan debit yang digunakan sebesar 2 m3/dtk, beda tinggi (head) 10 meter, sehingga dapat dibangkitkan energi sebesar 160 kVA dan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan listrik 155 rumah, dapat diberikan kapasitas terpasang masing-masing 900 VA.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian bertujuan untuk mendapatkan informasi penerapan pendidikan karakter akhlak mulia sebagai upaya pembentukan karakter siswa. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa jurusan Teknik Mesin SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung Raya Kabupaten Agam Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Pemilihan subjek penelitian didasari kolaborasi penerapan program penanaman nilai rohani yang dilakukan ketua jurusan. Teknik pengambilan data dilakukan dengan observasi dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa program pelaksanaan salat Zuhur berjemaah disambut positif oleh siswa; siswa telah patuh terhadap peraturan yang ada di sekolah; siswa lebih mementingkan perintah orang tua walaupun sedang asyik bermain dengan temannya; siswa memiliki respek terhadap lingkungan masyarakat; dan siswa memiliki jiwa cinta alam dan berbudaya menjaga lingkungan. AbstractThe research aimed to obtain information on the application of moral character education as an effort to build student character. This research used a qualitative descriptive method. The research subjects were students majoring in Mechanical Engineering at SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung Raya Agam Regency, West Sumatra Province. The selection of research subjects was based on collaborative implementation of the spiritual value cultivation program carried out by the head of the department. The data collection technique was carried out by observation and interviews. The data analysis technique used descriptive analysis. The results of the research revealed that the Zuhur prayer program in congregation was positively welcomed by the students; students have obeyed the rules in school; students are more concerned with parental orders even though they are enjoying playing with their friends; students have respect for the community environment; and students have a spirit of love for nature and a culture of protecting the environment.

Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk mengungkapkan keefektifan model pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika teknik. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menerapkan metode quasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian yang dipilih adalah treatment by block. Populasi penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa program studi teknik mesin universitas ekasakti Padang, dari dua kelas yang dipilih secara acak dengan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan cara memberikan tes diagnostik dan tes penalaran formal dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan Anava dan t-tes. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa : (1) Miskonsepsi Matematika mahasiswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konstruktivisme lebih rendah dari miskonsepsi Matematika mahasiswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional; (2) Miskonsepsi Matematika mahasiswa yang memiliki penalaran formal tinggi yang mengikuti pembelajaran konstruktivisme lebih rendah dari miskonsepsi Matematika mahasiswa yang memiliki penalaran formal tinggi yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional; (3) Miskonsepsi Matematika mahasiswa yang memiliki penalaran formal rendah yang mengikuti pembelajaran konstruktivisme lebih rendah dari miskonsepsi Matematika mahasiswa yang memiliki penalaran formal rendah yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional; (4) Tidak terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran dengan penalaran formal mahasiswa terhadap miskonsepsi mahasiswa pada mata pelajaran matematika teknik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran konstruktivisme cocok diterapkan dalam pembelajaran matematika teknik

Abstract

This research is based on the problem of unemployment of educated workers whoare the focus of society. Policies are needed that can increase the relevance of VocationalHigh School to the needs of the world of work, the business world and the industrial world.This research uses qualitative research methods with a case study research approach that aimsto study intensively about the background of the unemployment problem and how linkand match policies can be the solution to the problem of unemployment. The results of thisstudy will provide a broad and in-depth picture of link and match policy, namely with Linkand Match vocational education can know what competencies (skills) the world needs andwhat competencies the world needs most.

Abstract

Evaluation of the Internship instrument development program is an instrument that has been developed and then used to evaluate an Internship program of TKJ competencies in Vocational Schools which includes input components such as students, productive teachers, curriculum, and Sarpras, process components including student readiness, companion teacher performance, companion performance in the business and industrial world, the output of the Internship program benefits students and the business world and the industrial world. This research approach uses the Research & Development Model according to (Borg, WR & Gall, M D. (2003)). In collecting data using a questionnaire, interview, observation, and documentation instrument. The validity of the instrument was analyzed by bivariate correlations between the scores of each indicator with the total score, the reliability of the instrument was analyzed by using the alpha Cronbach. This study showed a result including input components 98,9%, process 96,6%, and product 96,7%, the instrument developed was valid and classified as very good, the reliability coefficient of student questionnaire 0.963, productive teacher 0,981, accompanying teacher 0,942, business associate and industrial world 0,961.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Heat Exchanger is equipment used to carry out the process of exchanging heat between two fluids, either liquid (hot or cold) or gas, where these fluids have different temperatures. Singkarak hydropower plant also uses a plate type heat exchanger with the code M10-BFG in operation. Serves to exchange heat in the oil used in the upper oil pot, which functions as a cooler and lubricant for the upper bearing and thrust bearing. Seeing the function of the upper and thrust bearings, which are two important bearings in the unit. A good maintenance process is needed on the plate heat exchanger to maintain the condition of the oil at working temperature, which is at 45-55 0C. Through this research, the authors analyzed the performance of the M10-BFG plate heat exchanger with the parameters of the actual heat transfer coefficient and monthly temperature trends. After doing research with quantitative methods through data collection and data processing, it was found that unit 4 has the highest actual heat transfer coefficient of 875.666-900.574 W, but has the shortest usage time, for 42 days based on the existing trending temperature. This is because in unit 4 the oil flow (870-900 l/minute) is below standard, and the size of the heat exchanger plate (55 cm) has shrunk far from the initial value (63 cm). So it is necessary to carry out corrective maintenance on unit 4. Meanwhile, the lowest actual heat transfer coefficient is found in unit 1 with a value of 706.797-770.027 W and the longest plate heat exchanger usage time is in unit 3, with an estimated 121 days before reaching the 55 0C alarm.

Abstract

Semen Padang Indarung IV unit has a screw compressor type compressor unit to produce high pressure air. In its operations, one of the Atlas Copco type compressor units often experiences over heating problems, namely the working temperature exceeds 1000 C. The method used is trouble shooting the compressor system, such as checking the lubricating oil, pressure, valves, working temperature and cooling system. , as well as overhaul maintenance actions if necessary. Based on the research results, it was found that the factors that cause overheating of the compressor are: Dirty air quality affects the condition of the air filter for air supply, limited space for placing the compressor causes the air supply to decrease, the oil filter has passed its useful life and is not suitable for use, and the oil cooler is clogged with scale, which hinders the oil cooling process. Based on this damage, recommendations for maintenance activities on the Atlas Copco Compressor are: maintaining air quality, periodically cleaning the tubes in the oil cooler, replacing the new oil filter according to compressor specifications, as well as comprehensive maintenance measures

Abstract

Compressor is one of the equipment on the ship in the process of smooth sailing for the purposes of starting the main engine and also functions to increase gas pressure, distribute air to other parts so that the process runs smoothly. MT Tanker Ship. Sea Serenity is a goods delivery ship. On this ship, the compressor is used to carry out maneuvers, namely the main air compressor which produces air pressure of 12 bar for 10 minutes, but it should only be 5 minutes, meaning the compressor performance is not optimal. The causes of decreased performance in the compressor are: Dirty/clogged air valve, wear of the piston ring/housing, non-functioning of the low pressure and high pressure suction valves. Recommendations for maintenance activities on the LSHC-50A air compressor are: Ensure air circulation to the compressor room is clean/free from dust or dirt, add an air filter, and maintain room temperature stability (providing air conditioning). Maintain the cleanliness of the blower, check the oil filter, replace damaged pistons, and replace new piston rings according to compressor spare parts every 6000 working hours

Abstract

The generator set on the ship has the function of supplying electrical power needs. MT Tanker Ship. Sea Serenity is one of the ships that delivers goods between islands. In operation, the diesel generator engine on the MT. Sea Serenity sometimes experiences problems resulting in blackouts. This research aims to determine the factors that cause damage as well as appropriate maintenance actions and the method used is trouble shooting. Based on the research results, it is found that the causes of damage are: Engine knock, engine exhaust smoke, problems with the injection pump, worn plunger, damage to delivery valve seat, injection nozzle interference, valve opening pressure too low, engine output unstable, worn piston rings. Maintenance carried out: Injection timing must be adjusted according to ignition sequence, set injection timing, replace plunger and delivery valve seat, set valve opening pressure, replace spring, and clean injection orifice. On unstable engine output, the control rack stroke must be checked. Perform regular oil changes and regular tune ups

Abstract

The design of this metal burning stove was made to speed up and make it easier for blacksmith craftsmen to produce quality products. Using this tool, blacksmith craftsmen can produce a stable flame in the metal burning process. Where the planning for a metal burning stove uses coal as the main fuel, because coal can produce a longer lasting fire compared to charcoal or firewood. The working principle of this metal burning stove is to use a machine tool that is driven by a blower to increase or enlarge the air or gas pressure that will transmit to the connecting pipe, and produce a stable fire so that combustion is faster and more efficient. The metal burning furnace planning process consists of: Power planning in the metal burning furnace planning p_d = 0.3 Kw, using a blower with a rotation of 2800 rpm, using 2 pipes as air conductors, the furnace volume is 7,385.28 m^3 and using a C18 castabble, weight 25 kg, cement resistance capacity 1800?.
