Abstract

Physical Education has strategic potential in shaping elementary school students' discipline due to its activity-based learning characteristics, rules, and direct experience. This study aims to analyze the role of Physical Education in shaping elementary school students' discipline through the learning process that takes place in the school environment. The study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. The research subjects included Physical Education teachers and elementary school students. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, learning observations, and documentation, then analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions by applying triangulation of sources and techniques to ensure data validity. The results of the study indicate that the formation of student discipline through Physical Education takes place through teacher role models, the application of clear and consistent learning rules, and the habituation of disciplined behavior integrated into physical activities. Students learn to understand the meaning of discipline through direct experience that links orderly behavior with the smooth running of learning activities. This study concludes that Physical Education not only functions as a means of developing physical abilities, but also as an effective vehicle for internalizing the value of discipline in the learning lives of elementary school students.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan jenis serta fungsi gaya bahasa ironi dan sarkasme dalam komentar pada akun instagram tempodotco dan mendeskripsikan implikasi hasil penelitian terhadap pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Sumber data diperoleh dari kolom komentar akun instagram tempodotco. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan oleh peneliti adalah teknik simak dan teknik catat. Teknik analisis data menggunakan kajian analisis deskriptif. Teknik penyajian hasil analisis data menggunakan metode informal. Hasil penelitian menunjukan gaya bahasa ironi dan sarkasme dalam kolom komentar akun instagram tempodotco dengan jumlah 47 data. Penelitian gaya bahasa ironi dan sarkasme ini diimplikasikan dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di SMA kelas X semester genap pada kompetensi dasar 3.12 menghubungkan permasalahan/isu, sudut pandang dan argument beberapa pihak dan simpulan dari debat untuk menentukan esensi dari debat.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the CIRC learning model in teaching poetry writingskills for VIII grade students of SMP Al Ikhlas Jatinegara in the 2019/2020 academic year. The research approachused is a descriptive quantitative approach to the type of experimental research. There are two types of variables inthis study, namely the independent variable and the dependent variable. The independent variable is the CIRC learningmodel, and the dependent variable is the students' poetry writing skills. The population of this study were students ofclass VIII SMP Al Ikhlas Jatinegara with a total of 50 students. The sampling technique used is a non-probabilitysampling technique with a census sampling type. The data collection technique used was a test technique with researchinstruments in the form of pretest and postest questions, as well as the criteria for assessing the ability to write poetry.The data analysis technique used is the t-test of SPSS 16.0 application and manual calculation of the formula as a dataanalysis technique. The results of this study were that the CIRC learning model was effectively used in learning poetrywriting skills for eighth grade students of SMP Al Ikhlas Jatinegara in the 2019/2020 academic year. The effectivenessof the CIRC learning model can be shown from the results of data analysis with the SPSS 16.0 application, which is asignificance value of 2 tailed 0.000 less than the significant level of 0.05. In addition, the manual formula calculationshows that tcount = 10.30 while t table = 1.67 with a significance level of 0.05 and degrees of freedom 48. Thus thenull hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted.
