Abstract

This study investigates the influence of perceive regulation readiness and collaboration on business model innovation and business performance in the Internet of Things (IoT) Companies. With IoT’s rapid growth, companies face the challenge of continually adapting their business models to evolving customer needs and regulatory frameworks. Drawing on contingency theory, the study emphasizes that no single strategy fits all organizations and that constant innovation is essential for sustainable success. Data was collected from 75 IoT companies in Indonesia, analyzed using SmartPLS to assess relationships among the variables. Findings reveal that regulatory readiness positively influences collaboration, which in turn significantly enhances business model innovation. Business model innovation is shown to directly impact business performance, highlighting its critical role in achieving competitive advantage. However, the study finds no significant moderating effects of regulatory readiness or collaboration on the relationship between business model innovation and performance, suggesting that these factors act independently rather than as moderators. Additionally, the study underscores the importance of IoT security standards, particularly in balancing technical and non-technical considerations such as data privacy. The findings provide insights into the strategic importance of adaptable business models and the need for regulatory frameworks to support IoT innovation effectively.

Abstract

This study examines the use of COBIT 5 in evaluating the maturity of e-Government initiatives in Indonesia through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). A total of 20 relevant Scopus-indexed journal articles published between 2014 and 2023 were selected using purposive sampling techniques. The study aims to identify which COBIT 5 domains are most frequently applied, the measurement approaches used, the types of government organizations involved, and how COBIT 5 contributes to improving digital governance. The findings reveal that the most utilized domains are EDM (Evaluate, Direct, and Monitor), APO (Align, Plan, and Organize), and MEA (Monitor, Evaluate, and Assess). Surveys and questionnaires are the predominant research methods, and most studies report maturity levels at stage 2 (Repeatable) or 3 (Defined). Several research gaps were identified, including the limited number of longitudinal studies, lack of standardized implementation across agencies, and minimal integration of COBIT 5 with other IT governance frameworks such as ITIL or ISO 27001. The study concludes that a more comprehensive, consistent, and integrated use of COBIT 5 can offer better insights into the digital maturity of public institutions. The findings contribute to the literature by outlining research trends, identifying limitations, and offering directions for future studies.

Abstract

In the era of digitalization, crime has also evolved both in terms of methods and types. The Indonesian National Police (POLRI) as a law enforcement institution is faced with increasingly complex challenges in carrying out its duties to maintain public security and order. To overcome this challenge, the National Police has taken a number of initiatives, including the application of the latest information technology, one of which is through the development of the National Police Super App. This research is a mixed methids research with data collection methods in the form of interviews and questionnaires. The results of the study show that in the last two years, the trend of crime in Indonesia has shown an increasing trend, as reflected in the data on the number of cases handled by law enforcement officials. In 2023, the percentage of crime cases recorded at 74.25%, and this figure will increase to 75.34% in 2024. In response to this, the National Police has pursued various strategic steps, one of which is through the digital transformation of public services, including the launch and development of the National Police Super App. This application allows the public to report criminal incidents more quickly, easily, and efficiently. With a digital system, reporting becomes more documented and can be immediately followed up by the relevant police units. To increase the effectiveness of the National Police Super App, an optimization strategy is needed that covers various aspects, ranging from improving infrastructure to socialization to the community. The success of a public service application is not only determined by the technology used, but also by the extent to which the public understands and wants to use it. Therefore, the police need to take a more comprehensive approach in the development of this application. One of the main strategies that can be done is to improve the technology infrastructure, including optimizing servers to be able to handle the surge in users, as well as the development of more responsive and easy-to-use features.

Abstract

The maritime industry, a global powerhouse for trade and transportation, is on the cusp of a transformative era driven by Artificial Intelligence (AI). This paper explores the potential of AI to revolutionize various aspects of the maritime sector, from navigation and route optimization to predictive maintenance and enhanced safety. This paper will study AI implementation in the inspection and consulting industry. This AI will help speed up the maritime industry's regulatory compliance process and maintenance services. The study showed four main stakeholders in AI implementation: Operational experts, managers, clients, and the AI team. Each stakeholder has a crucial role in successfully implementing AI in this industry. This study will map out each stakeholder's interest using SSM, giving a clear picture of what each stakeholder wants and their apprehensions. The result of this study is some conditions that need to be met by each stakeholder for the implementation of AI in this sector to be successful.

Abstract

This article discusses the Indonesian Classification Bureau, which needs to integrate digital governance from the application Internal Audit – Internal Audit Portal (SPI) to the application Human Resource Management System (HRMS) for the automation of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) results. However, until now, the Society still uses manual calculations to display Corporate, Work Unit, and Individual KPI, which causes delays in reports to shareholders and disbursing team member benefits. This research uses a qualitative method with the Soft Systems Methodology (SSM) approach to analyze digital governance utilizing the SPI portal application in the Internal Audit Division. The results show that no tools automate KPI values from the SPI Portal application to the HRMS system. This research can provide recommendations for making SPI Portal SOP policies that can measure and monitor performance, and the results can be sent directly to the HRMS systems. This research contributes to manually changing the KPI assessment system into a system that can produce accurate, transparent, and equitable results.

Abstract

The Human Resource Development (HRD) program at the Ministry of Communication and Informatics through the Thematic Academy training program has a strategic goal of improving the competence and skills of national human resources in the ICT sector. This HR development policy is part of the government's efforts to support the acceleration of digital transformation. This study was conducted to evaluate the Thematic Academy program using the Context, Input, Process, and Product (CIPP) evaluation model. Data collection methods in this study involved surveys of 249 respondents. Descriptive analysis was conducted after data processing, validity testing, and reliability testing. The study results indicate that the performance achievement of the Thematic Academy program has exceeded the set target. However, based on the CIPP model evaluation, several aspects received a "sufficient" rating, namely context, process, and product. Meanwhile, only the input aspect received a "good" rating. Therefore, although this program has been running well, it is essential to pay attention to these aspects to further improve its quality.
