Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui saluran pemasaran yang paling efisien yang digunakan oleh petani karet lump mangkok di Desa Kompas Raya dan untuk mengetahui besarnya nilai keuntungan masing-masing lembaga pemasaran pada setiap saluran pemasaran. Metode penelitian untuk melihat efisiensi pemasaran digunakan analisis margin pemasaran, farmer’s share, dan Profitability Index. Penentuan responden dilakukan dengan acak sederhana dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 44 orang, yaitu petani karet 37 orang dan pedagang perantara 7 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa saluran pemasaran bokar lump mangkok paling efisien berdasarkan nilai marjin pemasaran, farmer’s share dan tingkat keuntungan (profitability index) yang diperoleh terdapat pada saluran pemasaran II dengan nilai marjin pemasaran, farmer’s share dan tingkat keuntungan masing-masing sebesar Rp. 2.331/kg, 68,92 dan 2,37 dengan keuntungan pemasaran Rp. 1.639.

Abstract

Kesejahteraan petani adalah tolok ukur utama kesuksesan suatu usahatani. Salah satu usahatani tersebut adalah usaha tani karet khususnya Kabupaten Sanggau. Desa Teraju termasuk sentra produksi karet di Kabupaten Sanggau dan merupakan ibukota Kecamatan Toba. Namun, Karakteristik petani Karet di Kabupaten Sanggau tergolong petani dengan lahan sempit, pendapatan rendah, anggota keluarga banyak, umur petani relatif tua, namun pengalaman juga relatif banyak. Hal tersebut secara teori membuat tingkat kesejahteraan petani menjadi rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisa hubungan karakterisitik dan kesejahteraan petani di Kabupaten Sanggau dengan mengambil studi kasus di Desa Teraju Kecamatan Toba. Jumlah populasi sebesar 428 petani dengan sampel sebesar 45 petani. Teknik pengambilan data dengan kuesioner dan wawancara. Metode penelitian menggunakan deskriptif kuantiatif dengan teknis analisis korelasi rank spearman. Hasil analisis menggambarkan bahwa umur dan pendidikan memiliki hubungan dengan tingkat kesejahteraan petani.

Abstract

The problem currently faced by mustard greens farming is fluctuations in production due to erratic weather, causing pest attacks and drought which lead to crop failures. This study aims to analyze the level of the role of farmer groups and how the correlation of the role of farmer groups to the productivity of mustard cultivation in North Pontianak. Data was collected through interviews and filling out questionnaires to 75 farmers belonging to farmer groups using the Simple Random Sampling technique. The research method used is descriptive method and analyzed using rank spearman. The result showed that has been carried out, the level of the role of farmer groups seen from the aspects of class learning (x1), vehicle for cooperation (x2), and production units (x3) have a substantial (not close) and unidirectional relationship to productivity.

Abstract

This research holds significant importance in sustainable agricultural development in West Kalimantan, where the integration of cattle farming within oil palm plantations is an innovation that can impact farmers' economy, development, and social needs. The study was conducted in 2022, involving 130 respondents and employing both descriptive analysis and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) methods. The analysis results reveal that farmers' motivation is influenced by internal and external factors such as experience, cosmopolitanism, external support, the availability of facilities, market guarantees, ease of integration, and perceived benefits from integration. This research provides a profound understanding of these dynamics, which can assist in designing more effective policies and strategies to promote and support the integration of cattle farming within oil palm plantations. Consequently, this research has the potential to significantly contribute to sustainable agricultural development and rural growth in Meliau District.

Abstract

Kubu Raya is one of the largest rice-producing regency in West Kalimantan. However, unfortunately, the success of rice farmers in the area is not followed by an increase in the welfare of farmers because the strategy of increasing income is one of the indicators of welfare that is not used appropriately. This research aims to determine the influence of farmer's characteristics and managerial capacities on the rice farmer's welfare in Kubu Raya Regency. The research is in Kubu Raya Regency, considering that this location is one of the rice farming development regions in West Kalimantan. The data source contains primary and secondary data. The variables of research contain farmer's characteristics, managerial capacities, and farmer's welfare. The data analysis uses SEM (Structural Equation Model) analysis. The result of research indicates that the farmer's characteristics do not influence the farmer's welfare, while the managerial capacities influence the farmer's welfare. It means that farmers need to increase the cultivation technique ability, the management ability, the ability to improve the business, and the ability to adapt to increase their welfare
