Abstract

ABSTRACT: Hamengku Buwana VII is the King of Yogyakarta styled as Sinuwun Sugih. This title is awarded due to his leadership, which increases the revenue from establishment of sugar mills. His ideology in terms of leadership struck the sympathy of his subjects, especially that Hamengku Buwana VII implements the philosophy of Kawiryan in various ways, thus enhancing his image. There is one ancient manuscript that portrays this kawiryan nature of the king, whenever he faced events that haven't been seen before. The Kawiryan nature makes the people so sympathetic towards him. This writing aims to find out what is the content of Serat Saptastha and how the text portrays the Kawiryan nature of the King. This writing uses the methodology of qualitative research with content analysis and literature study for data collection techniques. This writing based its theory from the works Antonio Gramsci, the theory of hegemony. The results of this study indicate that the Serat Saptastha was written in 1921, the end of Hamengku Buwana VII's reign. Further, Kawiryan ideology shows that Hamengku Buwana VII succeeded in winning his people's hearts, even long after the end of his reign, his leadership quality is the one that people remember until now.Keywords: Ideology, Kawiryan, Serat SaptasthaABSTRAK: Hamengku Buwana VII merupakan raja Yogyakarta yang mendapatkan sebutan Sinuwun Sugih. Sebutan tersebut disematkan karena pada masa kepemimpinnya banyak mendapatkan pundi-pundi pendapatan dari pendirian pabrik gula. Ideologinya dalam hal kepemimpinannya menempatkan Hamengku Buwana VII mendapatkan tempat dihati rakyat banyak, terlebih bahwa Hamengku Buwana VII menerapkan sifat kawiryan dalam berbagai hal, sehingga menambah citra bagi Hamengku Buwana VII. Terdapat salah satu naskah kuno yang menceritakan bagaimana sikap kawiryan raja yakni Hamengku Buwana VII dalam mendapati beberapa peristiwa yang tidak dialami oleh raja sebelum-sebelumnya. Sikap kawiryantersebut membuat rakyatnya begitu simpatik terhadap dirinya. Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apa isi dari teks Serat Saptastha dan bagaimana sikap kawiryanHamengku Buwana VII yang tertuang dalam isi teks Serat Saptastha.  Metode yang digunakan berupa metode kualitatifdengan analisis isi dan teknik pengumpulan data berupa studi kepustakaan. Serta teori yang digunakan berupa teori hegemoni dari Antonio Gramsci. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Serat Saptastha ditulis pada tahun 1921, tahun tersebut menunjukkan tahun berakhirnya masa kepemimpinan Hamengku Buwana VII. Selain itu, ideologi kawiryan menunjukkan bahwa Hamengku Buwana VII menempatkan dirinya di hati rakyatnya, bahkan berakhirnya masa kepemimpinan Hamengku Buwana VII, sosok kepemimpinannya terus saja terkenang hingga sekarang.Kata Kunci: Ideologi, Kawiryan, Serat Saptastha

Abstract

This research attempts to uncover the manipulation of lexical relations in building cultural humor by applying embedded case study that uses qualitative methods to analyze data from the YouTube Shorts of the ISMO account. The data was purposively collected from popular videos on the channel. The analysis reveals that stand-up comedians use lexical relations, such as hyponymy, meronymy, antonymy, and homonymy, to create cultural humor through hook and punchline. Unlike previous studies, this research explains how lexical relations are constructed in humor with a hook-punchline structure. It also shows how certain types of lexical relations can be utilized by breaking them down into hook and punchline keywords or by combining them directly through stories or narratives. This information can serve as a reference not only for the audience but also for comedians to develop more creative methods of building humor.
