Abstract

Salah satu persoalan yang ditemukan di sekolah adalah rendahnya keterampilan menulis siswa, khususnya keterampilan menulis paragraf. Hal tersebut terjadi karena strategi pembelajaran menulis yang digunakan belum memberi kesempatan lebih banyak pada siswa untuk mengemukakan gagasan secara tertulis dengan lebih bebas, ekspresif, dan spontan. Pembelajaran menulis yang dilakukan belum mendorong terbentuknya kebiasaan menulis pada siswa.Di sisi lain, penilaian pembelajaran menulis yang diterapkan juga belum dapat memberi informasi yang sebenarnya tentang perkembangan keterampilan menulis siswa. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, diterapkan kegiatan menulis jurnal pada siswa dan memanfaatkan tulisan dalam jurnal itu untuk bahan penilaian autentik. Dalam penerapannya kegiatan menulis jurnal tersebut dilakukan dalam tiga tahapan. Kegiatan tahapan itu adalah (1) pemahaman konsep dan pemodelan kegiatan menulis jurnal, (2) pelaksanaan dan pembiasaan menulis jurnal, dan (3) penilaian autentik dengan memanfaatkan tulisan dalam jurnal siswa.Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif, sedangkan rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Rancangan penelitian tindakan kelas tersebut dilakukan dalam tiga siklus penelitian. Subjek penelitiannya adalah siswa kelas VIII-A SMP Negeri 1 Sine.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan tersebut dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis paragraf siswa, baik dari segi kuantitas maupun kualitas paragraf yang dihasilkan. Kegiatan menulis jurnal juga membuat kegiaan menulis menjadi lebih menarik dan bermakna bagi siswa.Peningkatan tersebut tidak terlepas dari upaya guru memberi respon, mengembangkan dialog, memodelkan cara menulis paragraf yang benar, mencermati kesalahan yang kerap dilakukan siswa, membiasakan secara tetap, serta memberikan berbagai arahan untuk membangkitan kreativitas siswa dalam menulis paragraf. Bimbingan dan arahan guru itu tetap diberikan, meskipun menulis jurnal adalah kegiatan menulis yang bersifat informal.Berdasarkan pembahasan hasil penelitian disarankan kepada guru bahasa Indonesia sebaiknya kegiatan pembiasaan menulis jurnal terus diterapkan dan dilakukan dengan disertai bimbingan yang intensif dan terarah. Dengan mencermati isi tulisan siswa, disarankan pula kepada guru mata pelajaran lain sebaiknya kegiatan menulis jurnal ini dapat diterapkan karena selain melatih keterampilan menulis paragraf, jurnal juga dapat mengkomunikasikan serta merefleksikan hasil belajar dan perkembangan pribadi siswa. Kata Kunci : menulis paragraf, menulis jurnal, penilaian autentik

Abstract

The first and primary educator for the child is the parents. As first and foremost educators, parents reveal the fundamental authority to educate their children. Educate children they should do, because they are parents. The task and the call of parents in educating their children is a task and a call that should not be replaced by anyone. No matter how great the other party in educating but will not be able to channel life to the child fully and intrinsically. They are unlikely to be able to fill the heart and soul of the child in building a complete relationship between the child and the parent and vice versa. The education that is the responsibility of the parent is an education that reflects a purpose. The purpose of education is essentially: the fostering of the human person as a whole, as both personal and social beings, within the framework of his final destiny. By looking at the purpose of education, it is not enough for parents to only form a child to be smart/clever, but also need to form a child's person to be a whole person. Laws that require parents to educate children, need to get support from the government well so that parents are able to carry out these obligations well too.

Abstract

Catholic teens Indonesia is part of the Church in Indonesia and the Indonesian people. Indonesia consists of thousands of islands that stretched from Sabang to Merauke. This fact opens the possibility of a fairly wide occurrence of the encounter between cultures and simultaneous cross-cultural. This diversity is certainly a logical consequence to an enrichment of civilizations and diversity (plurality), although also contains elements of the loss. Plurality of Indonesian society on the one hand can make the Catholic teens swept away in the swift currents of the community to lose our identity or conflict. However Plurality can also awaken in the Catholic teen award nature between one race to the other races, between ethnic or tribal one with the other tribes, between groups with one another. In a pluralistic society such as this, the Catholic teens called to the apostolate. Through the act of self-discovery, live in love and have a sense of tolerance of differences is the real form of the apostolate.

Abstract

Catechesis becomes the collective responsibility of all members of the Church. Catechesis become central to the work of the Church's mission in the world, because it involves the faith formation of Church members. Although in general the work of preaching or catechesis is the duty and obligation of all the faithful, but there are some private members who receive ecclesial mandate to be catechists, among others, is a priest. The results of this study showed that 8 of these priests understood with regard to the definition of catechesis and parish catechesis. Although in a different formulation but the essence of catechesis has been understood by the priests. During this time the priests had performed the role of the main responsible in the work of catechesis, but in a different way. The results showed that the concrete manifestation of this role is to teach preparation for reception of the sacrament, giving homilies, and also giving catechesis to the people directly, cooperation and good communication with fellow priests and people of God, it is also the whole pastoral activities, especially catechesis in parishes directed according ARDAS Diocese of Surabaya. Some priests (under 15 years of priesthood) is quite good in formulating a definition of catechesis but still less able to carry out catechesis in parishes optimally, otherwise most of the priest again (above 15 years of priesthood) are less able to formulating the definition and theory but better in implementing catechesis in the parish.

Abstract

Family is a community first formed by husband and wife, then evolved towards communion parents with children. Christian families are called to take part actively and responsibly in the Church’s mission in a way that is original and distinctive through his presence and, as a community of life and affection to serve the Church and society. Children’s education is born from the goal of a marriage which is happiness conjugal and family in all aspects of life as well as the birth of a child and the child's faith education. The main task of parents as educator lies in the love between children and parents themselves. Parents are the first and primary educators. As the first and primary educators, parents reveal a fundamental authority to educate their children. Education is basically focused on personal development as complete physical-spiritual man, both as personal and social beings, within the framework of his last life goals. Community and Church help parents to remain in their position and role as the primary educator and the first for their children.

Abstract

The theme is taken for this Jubilee is "Compassionate like God - Like the Merciful Father" (Lk 6:36).God is essentially show mercy, even declared himself the Almighty through His mercy. We must realize that God's mercy was not a sign of weakness, but a sign of power. Since the Old Testament, God invites each individual to reflect on his mercy, as proclaimed by the prophet Zephaniah. God has to get rid of the punishment that fell upon His people (Zephaniah 3:15). God is also present in the midst of His people (Zephaniah 3:17) expressed his compassion and solidarity. Moreover, God refurbish the people with His love (Zephaniah 3:17). God's mercy is transformed and entered into the history of mankind, in the person of Jesus Christ. He is the perfect face of God's mercy. Finally, everyone is called to show the face of the compassion of God through everyday life. God's love is so great that it revealed first of the works of creation. His love for man revealed in action by creating the universe and it is all provided for humans. Because after all there (the earth and its contents) God created man in the image of Himself.

Abstract

Based on Matthew 28: 19-20, all people are called to proclaim the Good News includes young Catholics. Young Catholics carry out the mission expressed throughthe implementation of the five tasks of the Church. However, circumstances today give many negative effects for young Catholics. Therefore it is needed an education system in school, especially in the field of growing faith. This is the importance role of the Catholic Religious Education for students to strike the challenges of life in the light of the Christian faith. This scientific research aims to prove contribution of Catholic Religious Education in Catholic senior highschool and vocational school for student Catholic way of living in the church. The results showed that most Catholic student knew the benefits of understanding the Catholic Religious Education and life but not deep. Catholic Religious Education in schools contributes little to the Catholic student life because there are other factors suchaseducation parents, support of the people around themselves (priests, sisters, and mothers orphanage administrators), and their selfawareness.

Abstract

Evangelisasi hendaknya menjadi aktivitas Gereja yang terjadi secara terus-menerus di lingkungan mana pun yang menungkinkan karya keselamatan Allah dapat berlangsung, termasuk di lingkungan formal (sekolah). Sekolah hendaknya bukan saja menjadi lingkungan berkembangnya ilmu pengetahuan saja, tetapi juga sekaligus menjadi lingkungan di mana guru agama Katolik bersama para siswa mengupayakan agar pemberitaan Injil Kerajaan Allah dan tentang Yesus Kristus dapat berlangsung. Pendidikan agama Katolik di sekolah dapat menjadi sarana yang sangat efektif dan efisien bagi sebuah evangelisasi. Belajar dari Yesus Sang Guru dan Evangelis sejati, guru agama dalam proses pendidikan agama Katolik di sekolah dapat menimba bagaimana evangelisasi dapat diwujudkan sesuai dengan harapan Gereja.

Abstract

Pembelajaran yang hanya menekankan transfer ilmu dan kurang memperhatikan konteks murid beserta dinamikanya dapat menyebabkan terjadinya jurang antara murid dengan ilmu yang dipelajarinya, dan tidak jarang proses pembelajaran akan mengalami kegagalan. Pada hakikatnya, pembelajaran, pembelajaran adalah sebuah aktivitas murid. Subyek pembelajaran adalah murid, dan fungsi guru lebih bertindak sebagai fasilitator atau dinamisator. Untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran dalam konteks, guru perlu melihat, mengamati, menganalisa keadaan murid dengan berbagai dinamikanya. Setelah itu semua dilakukan, kemudian guru merencanakan dan melaksanakan program serta membuat evaluasi berdasarkan situasi nyata berikutnya.

Abstract

Kelimpahan material menjadi satu-satunya cita-cita yang musti dikejar selama hidup oleh kebanyakan orang dan keluarga saat ini. Kehausan untuk memiliki materi, tidak jarang mengakibatkan prioritas pengembangan jatidiri sebagai umat beriman diabaikan. Relasi dan penghormatan antar pribadi dihidupi bukan menurut logika memberi atau berkorban dengan besar hati, melainkan menurut logika hasrat menguasi dan memiliki yang berakar pada kecenderungan cinta diri. Di tengah-tengah kehidupan masyarakat yang demikian, kita patut bertanya: masih adakah harapan akan tumbuh dan berkembangnya panggilan untuk hidup membiara atau menjadi imam dalam diri kaum muda yang lahir dan besar di tengah keluarga Kristen?
