Abstract

Community interaction with the natural environment is reflected through the local wisdom implemented by the community. This is not free from the parties' interests in natural resources. Exploitative behavior or otherwise maintaining ecological and socio-economic balance in the natural environment arises from the various interests of the parties. Such conditions raise the question: How can society's socio-economic strategies be strengthened so that harmonious relations between humans and nature are maintained through a balance of ecological-conservation and socio-economic interests? This research uses a qualitative approach by collecting data through interviews and observation. The research results show that people living in areas prone to natural disasters in the form of earthquakes and landslides have a pattern of relationship with their natural environment in socio-economic activities. Efforts to escape the impact of natural disasters are experiencing obstacles because the community's socio-economic strategies and activities rely on agriculture and plantations which are directly related to the condition of natural resources. In this situation, it is necessary to improve and strengthen community economic activities in the fields of agriculture, plantations and collaboration at the community level.

Abstract

Masalah lingkungan dipengaruhi oleh fenomena modernisasi dengan kecanggihan teknologi pada berbagai bidang penggunaannya. Dalam situasi demikian diperlukan strategi komunikasi untuk merubah perilaku masyarakat untuk mencegah pencemaran lingkungan yang diakses secara terbuka oleh masyarakat. Berdasarkan masalah tersebut maka dilakukan penelitian tentang strategi komunikasi yang dilakukan Trashbag Community dalam membangun kesadaran bersama dalam pencegahan pencemaran lingkungan berupa sampah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa Trashbag Community sebagai wadah yang dibentuk oleh para penggiat lingkungan telah menerapkan strategi komunikasi untuk membangun kesadaran pemeliharaan lingkungan dan mengubah perilaku para pendaki dan masyarakat di sekitar Gunung Halimun Salak. Beberapa strategi dan teknik yang diterapkan yaitu redundancy, canalizing, penyediaan informasi, pendekatan persuasif, edukasi, dan tindakan koersif. Trashbag Community bisa menjangkau masyarakat dan para pendaki gunung untuk membangun rasa tanggung jawab dan diterapkan perilaku pencegahan pencemaran lingkungan. Hambatan dalam pelaksanaan strategi komunikasi untuk pencegahan pencemaran lingkungan terutama karena kekurangan jumlah anggota Trashbag Community dan luas kawasan hutan yang tidak bisa dijangkau secara serentak.

Abstract

Achieving transparent public information access services requires good information management and documentation. For this reason, it is necessary to study the role of information and documentation management officials in supporting the realization of public information openness. This research uses a qualitative approach by applying interview, observation and documentation methods. The results of this research show that to realize openness of public information, information and documentation management officials at UINJ carry out the role of coordinating, documenting information, verifying information, testing consequences, updating information, and providing information to the public. To support the achievement of these roles, PPID UINJ refers to standard operating procedures and implementation of evaluations. However, the results of this research also show that the implementation of public information has not been optimal due to barriers to mindset regarding openness of public information and technical obstacles. Theoretically, the results of this research show that success in realizing public information openness is not only through fulfilling the indicators of the role of officials but also through changing the mindset of stakeholders and supporting work units in the work environment as a whole
