Abstract

This article explains relation of social economic strategy applied by the community on the setting of watershed area with dinamics and complexity of urban life.  To explain the problem, this article use the perspective of ecological anthropology and urban anthropology. This research uses indepth-interview, participatory observation, and focus group discussion. This research was conducted on the community of Ciliwung watershed on Kampung Melayu and Cawang village in East Jakarta. This research shows that  the community on Ciliwung watershed area have social organization based on primordial and religion. The social organization have inclusive orientation and have goal to overcome everyday social problem. The community have model of ecological adaptation and social-economic strategy that have characteristics of resistance (control, protect, defend, and resist) as respon to uncertainty of policy and involution of Ciliwung watershed development.Tulisan ini menjelaskan hubungan antara strategi sosial ekonomi yang dijalankan masyarakat dalam latar ekologi bantaran sungai dengan kondisi kehidupan perkotaan yang dinamis dan kompleks. Untuk menjelaskan masalah tersebut, penelitian ini menginspirasi kepada perspektif antropologi ekologi dan antropologi perkotaan. Penelitian ini mengacu kepada pendekatan kualitatif dengan menerapkan metode wawancara mendalam, pengamatan terlibat, dan diskusi kelompok terfokus. Penelitian lapangan dilakukan pada masyarakat bantaran sungai Ciliwung di Kelurahan Cawang dan Kelurahan Kampung Melayu, Jakarta Timur. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa masyarakat bantaran sungai Ciliwung memiliki organisai sosial berbasis asal-usul daerah dan agama berorientasi inklusif dan bertujuan mengatasi masalah sosial yang dihadapi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Masyarakat memiliki pola adaptasi ekologi dan strategi sosial ekonomi berciri bertahan (menguasai, melindungi, bertahan, dan melawan) sebagai respon terhadap ketidakpastian kebijakan dan involusi pembangunan bantaran sungai Ciliwung.

Abstract

Abstract

Agrarian reform has always been regarded as a communism-related issue in Indonesia as it is often associated with the one-side action BTI (Indonesian Farmers' Union)/ PKI (Indonesian Communist Party) in the first mid of 1960s. The stigma is still attached to this present time. Whereas, agrarian reform is actually a policy that relates with various ideologies to reach different objectives. The step to conduct agrarian reform has been started since 1926 when Perhimpunan Indonesia (PI) or Indonesian Association, an organization led by Mohammad Hatta in the Netherland created the land restructured program as a part of Indonesian independence plan. In 1948, Mohammad Hatta as the Prime Minister prepared a draft of National Agrarian Law. The target was only then achieved 12 years later through the legalization of the Principal Law of Agrarian of 1960. This study employed a historical comparative study to explore the agrarian reform in Indonesia postcolonial country as a nationalism-related issue used to strengthen the national sovereignty and to improve the life of the citizens.Keyword: agrarian reform, nationalism, colonialism, post-colonial era. Reformasi agraria selalu dianggap sebagai masalah yang berkaitan dengan komunisme di Indonesia karena sering dikaitkan dengan aksi satu sisi BTI (Barisan Tani Indonesia) / PKI (Partai Komunis Indonesia) pada per-tengahan 1960-an. Stigma masih melekat pada saat ini. Padahal, reforma agraria sebenarnya adalah kebijakan yang berkaitan dengan berbagai ideologi untuk mencapai tujuan yang berbeda. Langkah untuk melakukan reformasi agraria telah dimulai sejak 1926 ketika Perhimpunan Indonesia (PI), sebuah organisasi yang dipimpin oleh Mohammad Hatta di Belanda menciptakan program restrukturisasi tanah sebagai bagian dari rencana kemerdekaan Indonesia. Pada tahun 1948, Mohammad Hatta sebagai Perdana Menteri menyiapkan rancangan UU Agraria Nasional. Target tersebut baru tercapai 12 tahun kemudian melalui legalisasi Undang-Undang Pokok Agraria tahun 1960. Studi ini menggunakan studi perbandingan historis untuk mengeksplorasi reformasi agraria di Indonesia pascakolonial sebagai isu terkait nasionalisme yang digunakan untuk memperkuat kedaulatan nasional dan untuk meningkatkan kehidupan warga.Kata kunci: reformasi agraria, nasionalisme, kolonialisme, era pasca-kolonial.

Abstract

This study examined the relationship of The Jakmania's social identity with the conflict of supporters. The Jakmania members who come from various ethnic and regions sought identity as "Jakarta youth" which means "Metropolitan youth". This study used a convergent parallel mixed method. The survey population was members of The Jakmania Depok City who, although not living in Jakarta, supported Persija as a Jakarta football club. Semi-structured interviews were carried out to key informants involved in forming The Jakmania's social identity since the organization was founded and organizational decision makers. After being analyzed separately, the results are compared to see how far quantitative and qualitative findings confirm each other. The results of this study indicated that the members of The Jakmania, whose background is in the socio-economic status of the lower middle class, have a mixture of group pride and cathartic pressure on life. The effort to build the social identity of The Jakmania supporters gave birth to positive energy in the form of solidarity and member participation without being based on ethnicity. Likewise, the respondents from The Jakmania Depok who have Betawi parents, their identification with The Jakmania as an in-group is cross-ethnicity and regional. On the other hand, negative energy creates a supporter conflict from some members and at the same time raises corrections from within the organization to improve it.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji pemanfaatan teknologi digital, yakni Instagram, sebagai sarana promosi buku. Lewat Instagram, Penerbit Mediakita menyasar menyasar Generasi Z yang memiliki ciri figital, yakni menjadikan dunia virtual sebagai bagian realitas mereka. Kuesioner disebarkan melalui Instastory @mediakita dan dijawab oleh 1.547 followers. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan regresi linier sederhana. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Instagram berpengaruh signifikan terhadap proses keputusan pembelian. Namun, diperlukan strategi dan konten promosi yang lebih menarik dan interaktif.

Abstract

Di tengah perkembangan stasiun televisi swasta dan media online, TVRI tidak hanya menghadapi tantangan meraih khalayak. Berbagai program acara televisi swasta dan media online yang hanya mengejar keuntungan menimbulkan sejumlah ekses terhadap lingkungan sosial khalayak. Penelitian ini menggunakan Teori Pers Tanggung Jawab Sosial yang dikaitkan dengan misi TVRI sebagai lembaga penyiaran publik.  Misi TVRI menggambarkan upaya pemenuhan tanggung jawab sosial harus diletakkan dalam  konteks kompetisi media.  Jika TV Publik tidak banyak ditonton orang maka upaya pemenuhan tanggung jawab sosial  tidak berdampak signifikan di masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui implementasi misi TVRI dalam pemenuhan tanggung jawab sosial  pers di tengah kompetisi media di era Direktur Utama Helmy Yahya (2017-2020). Dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dan organisasi sebagai unit analisis, penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data wawancara mendalam terhadap sejumlah informan kunci dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan implementasi misi TVRI dilakukan melalui sejumlah terobosan dari pembaruan sarana dan prasarana hingga sumber daya manusia. Namun upaya TVRI memenuhi tanggung jawab sosial terkendala faktor regulasi dan konsolidasi internal. Revisi UU No. 32 Tahun 2002 diperlukan untuk mereposisi kedudukan dewan pengawas dan kemandirian pembiayaan TVRI. Adapun konsolidasi internal memerlukan perbaikan manajemen administrasi internal TVRI, pengembangan budaya organisasi baru, dan penguatan bidang pengelolaan sumber daya manusia.

Abstract

TeleCTG is a telemedicine-based medium technology that Indonesia makes. Nowadays, Cardiotocography has only been operated by an obstetrician/gynecologist (ob-gyn) at the hospital. The occurrence of TeleCTG at Puskesmas (the public health center) helps midwives send the diagnosis online to an ob-gyn for immediate response. This technology helps to equalize the quality of health services. The research purpose is to analyze the innovation diffusion process in using TeleCTG medical devices for participation and empowerment of midwives as the frontline of public health services in the Kupang. Diffusion of innovation is a persuasive process of spreading innovation through specific channels among the members of a social system. Using an exploratory sequential mixed-methods design, then this research explored qualitative data through in-depth interviews with four informants. Questionnaires were distributed to draw the generalizability of the findings at the population level. The population is midwives from 13 sub-districts using TeleCTG in Kupang and cluster sampling techniques. Path analysis is used to see the causal relationship among elements of innovation diffusion, midwives’ participation, and midwives’ empowerment. The results found that the diffusion of innovation encourages the participation of midwives, then the participation level increases empowerment. The diffusion of innovation does not directly influence the empowerment of midwives, but there is an indirect effect of the elements on the empowerment mediated by midwives’ participation. As the final discussion, the participation of midwives is the key to increasing the empowerment of Puskesmas midwives in Kupang.

Abstract

This study explores poor people or negative ownership class phenomena as result of exploitative ideology by using power including exploitation of natural resource and placement of population as cheap labor. This study explores poor people or negative ownership class phenomena as result of exploitative ideology by using power, including exploitation of natural resource and placement of human resources as cheaper labor. Although many studies about Indonesian nationalism were conducted previously, but generally the study of nationalism in relation to the poor people class in Indonesia are not the main focus of the study.This article using qualitative research method. In order to compare different phenomena in various periods, this article uses historical comparative research method. There were five levels in historical comparative research. First, is conceptualizing the object of inquiry. Second is locating the evidence. Third is evaluating quality of evidence. Fourth is organizing evidence. Fifth is syntesizing. An open interviewed was conducted with stakeholders whose directly involved in many cases within several political party bodies such as Partai Nasional Indonesia (PNI), Partai Demokrasi Indonesia (PDI). Data was analyzed by social, cultural, and political interpretation. It can be concluded tht in national politic constellation, the phenomena of poor class produce a defense term for their group, known as 'marhaen' and 'wong cilik'. Nevertheless, nationalism practice in Indonesia as represented by PNI, PDI, dan PDI Perjuangan, have not yet succedeed to freed poor people from social aleniation in political power contestation, the ownership of capital, or in relations between state and government. This nation still struggled to build competitive political and economical power in order to reate a social transformation.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian iniadalah mengkaji peran yang dijalankan oleh bidan yang mengadopsi teknologi baru bernama Tele-CTG untuk memonitor kesehatan ibu hamil dalam proses mendukung persalinan yang sehat untuk mengurangi tingkat kematian ibu dan anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan pengambilan data melalui wawancara mendalam pada bidan yang bekerja di empat lokasi berbeda (Jakarta, Bekasi, Kupang, dan Indramayu) yang sudah menerapkan teknologi Tele-CTG selama satu tahun terakhir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bidan mempunyai lima peranan sebagai agen perubahan sosial: (1) Menjadi perantara penting dalam menerjemahkan penggunaan serta sosialisasi manfaat Tele-CTG terhadap pasien, (2) Bidan memberikan informasi terbaru mengenai kesehatan anak dalam kandungan melalui pengenalan Tele-CTG yang terhubung langsung dengan dokter, (3) Menganalisis kebutuhan pasien terkait kemungkinan gangguan yang akan timbul pada bayi dalam kandungan melalui pengenalan Tele-CTG. (4) Menumbuhkan keberanian pasien untuk mengambil tindakan yang tepat terhadap anak dalam kandungan, dan (5) mengembangkan kepercayaan akan kebutuhan pasien melalui penggunaan teknologi baru.
