Abstract

Abstract: Nowadays wind turbine is used widely in many countries as power plant. When the wind turbine blade rotates there will be aerodynamic forces acting on the blade such as drag, lift, weight and centrifugal forces. When designing wind turbine blade it is necessary to test whether the blade can withstand the aerodynamic forces or not. Stress analysis is a feature that can predict stress acting on construction. Nowadays there are many stress analysis softwares that can be used to predict stress. In this research the stress analysis will be used by using autodesk inventor.The research purposes are to find the stress acting on the wind turbine blade and to get the maximum stress location.

Abstract

Abstract: Gantry crane is one of the lifting machines that use to lift and move loads which can’t lift by human power. The Applications of gantry crane can be seen at sea port area and loading area in industrial. The design of gantry crane must be applied to find the strength and endurability for the gantry crane. Design of gantry crane consists of hoisting mechanism and structure design. The design of gantry crane with 10 tons of capacity and 15 meters of span also applying strength analysis using auto desk inventor software will be discussed in this paper.

Abstract

Abstract: A residential dump transport to a temporary garbage disposal medium using a human-powered dump cart is not humane. An electrical-powered propulsion system can be one of the eco-friendly system which can be implemented to the cart, thus substitutes the human’s role to do so. This propulsion is analyzed by using vehicle dynamic analysis. Vehicle dynamic analysis which is conducted, discuss tractive effort which overcomes resistances during vehicle’s movement and accelerates the vehicle, and specification of drive train, used to drive it. Based on analytical result, it is obtained an electric dump cart model which can move at a 25 km/h maximum velocity, 20° maximum inclination while it is empty loaded, and 10° maximum inclination while it is fully loaded.

Abstract

Abstract: Forklift is one of the lifting machines that use to lift and move loads which can move loads with a diffirent height without taking a long time than we lift it by people’s strength. The Applications of forklift can be seen at sea port area and loading area in industrial. The design of forklift must be applied to find the hydraulic system and the strenght for the forklift so it will definitely lift the cargo which want to be lifted. Design of forklift consists of design hydraulic system and strength for the forklift.. The design of forklift with 7 tons of capacity will be disscused in this thesis.

Abstract

Abstract: Indonesia which is an archipelago country has a lot of harbour for conveying and delivering goods which is stored in container from one island to another island. Containers are very heavy so that required a strong and stable lifting machine, also have a good performance and safety. Semi gantry crane as one of the example of lifting machine is designed using assistance of software for that purpose.
