Abstract

The rapid adoption of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies by startups has intensified concerns related to data governance, privacy protection, and information security risks. This study investigates the effect of IoT data governance quality and data privacy policy on information security risk mitigation and customer trust in IoT-based startups in Bandung, Indonesia. Using a quantitative research approach, data were collected from 150 users of IoT-based startup services through a structured questionnaire measured on a Likert scale. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS 3). The results indicate that IoT data governance quality has a significant positive effect on information security risk mitigation. In addition, data privacy policy and information security risk mitigation both have significant positive effects on customer trust. Furthermore, information security risk mitigation partially mediates the relationship between IoT data governance quality and customer trust. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening data governance frameworks and implementing transparent privacy policies to reduce security risks and enhance customer trust. This study contributes to the growing body of literature on IoT governance and provides practical insights for startup managers and policymakers in fostering secure and trustworthy IoT-based business environments.

Abstract

The rapid adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies has encouraged manufacturing companies to integrate Internet of Things (IoT) solutions and production tracking systems to improve operational performance and delivery reliability. This study aims to analyze the impact of IoT implementation and production tracking systems on delivery timeliness in the electronics industry in Tangerang City. A quantitative research approach was applied using survey data collected from 150 employees involved in production and logistics activities. Data were measured using a five-point Likert scale and analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS 3) to evaluate both measurement and structural models. The results indicate that IoT implementation has a positive and significant effect on delivery timeliness by enabling real-time monitoring and faster operational coordination. Production tracking systems also show a strong positive influence by improving scheduling accuracy, workflow visibility, and decision-making processes. Furthermore, the integration of IoT and production tracking technologies contributes to better supply chain responsiveness and reduced delivery delays. These findings highlight the strategic role of digital monitoring systems in enhancing manufacturing performance and meeting customer delivery expectations. This study provides empirical insights for practitioners and contributes to the growing literature on smart manufacturing and technology-driven operational efficiency in Indonesia’s electronics sector.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) marketing and creative storytelling on brand engagement in the culinary industry in West Java. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 150 respondents through a structured Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS Version 25. Descriptive statistics, reliability and validity tests, and multiple linear regression analysis were employed to examine the relationships between variables. The results indicate that both AI marketing and creative storytelling have a significant positive effect on brand engagement, with creative storytelling showing a slightly stronger influence. Combined, these factors explain 38.2% of the variance in brand engagement. The study highlights the importance of integrating AI-driven marketing strategies with compelling narratives to strengthen consumer interaction and loyalty, providing practical guidance for culinary businesses seeking competitive advantage in West Java.
