Abstract

When a person becomes an adult, then in fact he has become a person who is independent of himself. So the consequence of being an adult is, to live life with the sweat. Therefore, preparation is needed to become an independent life, one of which is to have survival skills, namely doing business. This service activity is carried out as a concern for the life of the surrounding community, especially teenagers, to provide information and expertise that can be useful for their lives in the future. This service activity contains learning activities, training and entrepreneurial practice, thus helping teenagers understand the basic concepts of establishing a business. This activity was carried out in Pamulang District (South Tangerang), and the participants in the activity were teenagers in the Reni Jaya housing estate. The activity was carried out for three days, with an agenda of learning theory, learning practice, and sharing experiences from business actors. Obviously, this activity creates enthusiasm for entrepreneurship, this can be seen in the enthusiasm of the participants in participating in activities, asking lots of questions, and being careful in participating in activities. In addition, this activity can increase the knowledge, knowledge, and interest of young people in establishing a business as a way to live their lives in the future.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh kombinasi jenis umpan terhadap hasil tangkapan rawai dasar di perairan Laut Timor. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Januari–April 2024 dengan metode observasi langsung pada operasi penangkapan menggunakan jumlah mata pancing yang seragam (3.600 unit). Perlakuan yang diuji meliputi kombinasi dua jenis umpan (tembang dan tongkol) serta kombinasi tiga jenis umpan (tembang, tongkol, dan hiu), masing-masing dengan 20 ulangan. Data yang dikumpulkan berupa hasil tangkapan per trip (kg) dan dianalisis secara deskriptif serta inferensial menggunakan uji independent samples t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa total tangkapan kombinasi dua umpan sebesar 1.700 kg dengan rata-rata 85,00 ± 21,21 kg, sedangkan kombinasi tiga umpan sebesar 1.725 kg dengan rata-rata 86,25 ± 29,39 kg. Perbedaan rata-rata sebesar 1,25 kg menunjukkan selisih yang sangat kecil. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kedua perlakuan (P > 0,05). Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa penambahan jenis umpan tidak memberikan peningkatan hasil tangkapan yang bermakna. Secara operasional, penggunaan kombinasi dua jenis umpan dinilai lebih efisien karena mampu menghasilkan tangkapan yang setara tanpa meningkatkan kompleksitas dan biaya. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa variasi umpan tidak selalu menjadi faktor utama dalam meningkatkan produktivitas penangkapan.Kata kunci: Rawai Dasar, Umpan, Hasil Tangkapan, Perikanan Tangkap
