Abstract

This paper offers a film and cultural studies analysis of the Indonesian religious film Ayat-ayat Cinta. It examines the way in which the film represents Islam in the context of the globalisation of the media industry, the wider cultural transformation and religious context in Indonesia. This paper argues that the film Ayat-ayat Cinta represents “popular Islam”, which resulted from the interaction between the santri religious variants and the film industry, capitalism, market forces and popular culture in Indonesia. Santri religious variants in this film are rooted in traditionalist, fundamentalist, modernist, and liberal Islam in Indonesia, and those Islamic groups which have undergone a process of conformity with capitalism and popular culture. As a result, the representation of Islam in this film is pluralist, tolerant, and fashionable.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe outbreak of Covid-19 as a global pandemic needs serious attention, especially for da’i as public figures and role models for society. This article aims to know how the da’i of Nahdlatul Ulama, including Gus Mus, Gus Miftah, and Gus Baha, provide advice and direction on the prevention of Covid-19 so that it can be used as material for public education through their da'wah on Youtube. Using a qualitative approach with the message analysis method, this study finds that the da’i are advised to always prioritize faith in Allah before worrying about Covid-19 and how Islam makes its own convenience due to the limited conditions caused by this pandemic, especially in some rituals. worship. The implication of this research is to prevent the spread of Covid-19 from the perspective of da’wah among the community.Keywords : Da’i, Nahdlatul Ulama, Covid-19ABSTRAKMewabahnya Covid-19 sebagai pandemi global perlu menjadi perhatian serius, khususnya bagi para da’i sebagai figur dan panutan publik bagi masyarakat. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana tokoh da’i Nahdlatul Ulama diantaranya adalah Gus Mus, Gus Miftah dan Gus Baha memberikan nasehat dan arahan tentang pencegahan Covid-19 agar dapat menjadi bahan edukasi masyarakat melalui dakwah mereka di Youtube. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis pesan, kajian ini menemukan bahwa para da’i tersebut berpesan untuk selalu mengutamakan keimanan terhadap Allah sebelum rasa khawatir akan Covid-19 serta bagaiamana Islam menjadikan kemudahan tersendiri sebab keterbatasan kondisi yang diakibatkan oleh pandemi ini, khususnya pada beberapa ritual ibadah. Implikasi penelitian ini sebagai upaya mencegah penyebaran Covid-19 dalam perspektif dakwah di antara masyarakat.Kata Kunci : Da’i, Nahdlatul Ulama, Covid-19

Abstract

Strategy for Professional Development of Early Madrasah Teachers in Indonesia. This study aims to determine the patterns and strategies for the professional development of madrasah diniyah teachers in Indonesia. The method used in this research is library research with an explanatory approach. Collecting data using relevant research and factual data. The results of the study indicate that there are several shortcomings of the professional development of madrasah diniyah teachers, namely static learning patterns and conventional delivery of material so that it is necessary to update the strategies carried out by madrasas to improve quality through three innovative programs, namely pre-service education, in-service education, and in-service training

Abstract

Da'wah is an invitation or call to the truth of Islam in a wise way. From several aspects in the element of da'wah, one of the important elements that must be considered in this activity is the object of the da'wah itself. Differences in the background and environment of the society as the object of da'wah require the da'i to really understand the segmentation of the society itself in an effort to be able to formulate the da'wah methods and materials that are most suitable for the mad'u Using a library research approach, this research was conducted to describe the segmentation of society as an object of da'wah according to the Qur’an. From the results of this study, it was found that in general it was explained that the segmentation of society as the object of da'wah was divided into two namely Muslims and non-Muslims, Muslims were divided into two groups, enlightened and misguided then strong and weak in their faith, while non-Muslims were divided into four groups, atheists, disbelievers/polytheists, Jewish/Christian and hypocrites. Besides that, in the Qur'an, it is also explained that there is a special group that must be prioritized, namely family and close relatives. So overall there are three segmentation of objects of da'wah. Keywords: Society, Da’wah, Qur’an

Abstract

Dalam perspektif masyarakat Islam, kiai merupakan sosok figur yang biasa panutan khususnya dalam hal keagamaan, dalam dunia pesantren, biasanya kiai merupakan pemegang keputusan tertinggi, disamping itu juga merupakan teladan utama bagi seluruh elemen dalam pesantren tersebut dan masyarakat di sekitarnya. Perkembangan teknologi menarik dakwah untuk mengembangkan jangkaunnya menggunakan media sosial, salah satunya adalah Youtube, kiai yang secara langsung juga menjadi seorang da’i mulai juga mengadopsi Youtube sebagai sarana memperlebar syiar Islam, diantaranya adalah kiai Pondok Pesantren Al-Amien Prenduan melalui channel Youtube alamienTV. Menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian iniingin mengetahui metode dakwah yang digunakan oleh kiai Al-Amien Prenduan dalam berdakwah melalui alamienTV. Pada akhir penelitian ditemukan bahwa kiai Al-Amien Prenduan menerapkan dua dari tiga bentuk utama metode dakwah yakni Hikmah, Mau’idah Hasanah tanpa Mujadalah.
