Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between socio-economic characteristics rice farmers in participat-ing in agricultural extension in the Village District of Tompaso Kamanga.The method used in this research is quantitative method. The research was conducted in the Village District of Tompaso Kamanga Minahasa regency. The number of respondents were 30 farmers: Simple Random Sam-pling. By using questionnaires. The variables measured were: age is measured in (year), education is formal education (elementary Graduate, Graduate from junior high school, go to college, PT), revenue is measured from the income of the paddy rice farming (USD), the status of land ownership (see from their own land and tenants and or penyakap), participation in agricultural extension (seen from the frequency of attendance). To determine the socio-economic factors that influence the selection of a variety of extension methods used Spearman Rank correlation formula (Siegel, 1997). The results showed that the characteristics of the mem-bers of the real touch with the level of participation and vice versa if the value of the probability (P)> α, mean that there is no real relationship between the characteristics of the members of the participation rate.Keywords: Relationship, Characteristics, Farmers, Agricultural Extension

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the role of the Family Welfare Empowerment Institution (PKK or FWE) in enhancing women's capacity through the 10 main programs of PKK and to find out how to increasewomen's capacity through the application of 10 main PKK programs. The location of this study was in the Sea from June to August 2018. Data collection was carried out by interview technique directly to 30 respondents based on the questionnaire prepared in advance. The results obtained from this study using the Likert scale analysis showed that the FWE (PKK) Institution of the Sea Village, Pineleng Sub-district, Minahasa District in increasing women's capacity based on the 10 main programs of Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) was in a total score of 880 with an interpretation of 88.88 % or categorized as a play role, and the capacity of women in the Sea Village of Pinelang District, Minahasa District through the application of the 10 main programs of Family Welfare Empowerment in a total score of 1,021 with an interpretation of 87.26% or categorized as increasing.*eprm*.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the income contribution of Tahu Nipon Business workers to family income and the time allocation on Tahu Nipon Business workers. This research was conducted for three months, starting from January to March 2019. The data used in this study were primary data and secondary data. Primary data was obtained from direct interviews with workers and business owners of Tahu Nipon Business. Secondary data is obtained from the Office of The North Sulawesi Central Statistics Agency and Tateli Village Office; and the internet through google books and google scholarships to get journal articles and thesis related to the topic of this research, namely the contribution of workers 'income to family income and the outpouring of workers' time. The sampling method is a census with the number of respondents 6 workers. The results of this study indicated that the average income contribution of Tahu Nipon Business workers is 83.33% of family income. The average time spent by Tahu Nipon Workers in the research area in one day for domestic activities is 2.08 hours per day with a percentage of 8.66%, while the time spent on productive activities is 8.33 hours per day with a percentage of 34.70 %, and time for other activities besides taking care of family and work, including sleep rest, averaging 13.5 hours per day with a percentage of 56.25%.*eprm*

Abstract

The research was conducted from September 2018 to February 2019, starting from preparation to preparing the report. The sampling method in this study was to use the Total Sampling method with a number of samples taken as many as 100% of the members of two farmer groups namely Suka Maju farmer groups as many as 17 respondents and Tumou Tou farmer groups as many as 17 respondents. The total number of respondents was 34 farmers. The data used are primary data and secondary data. Primary data was collected by interviewing all respondents with the help of a list of questions prepared before. Secondary data was collected from documents owned by both farmer groups, local bookstores, the internet through google search engines in the form of books and “skripsi” related to the topic of this research, namely farmers' social capital. Data analysis was carried out descriptively which was presented in table form and then interpreted. The results showed that the elements of social capital namely norms, networks, beliefs, reciprocal relationships, and values have been able to improve the existence and cohesiveness of Suka Maju farmer groups because the social capital of Suka Maju farmer groups is very good compared to Tumou Tou farmer groups. Viewed from all sides, the Tani Suka Maju group has better social capital than the Tumou Tou farmer group. Thus to improve the existence and cohesiveness of Tumou Tou farmer group like Suka Maju farmer group, it is necessary to improve thequality of social capital as owned by farmer groups Suka Maju.*eprm*

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out how large the rice farming is contributed to family income. The research was conducted in December 2018 to January 2019, ranging from preparation to research Report preparation. The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. Primary Data is derived from a direct interview with the respondent's farmer. Secondary Data is obtained from the village office of Taratara One, and internet through Google Books and Googlescholars to obtain articles of journal and thesis related to the topic of the research that is contribution of rice field farming to Family income. The sampling method was done intentionally with a total of 25 respondents. The analysis used in this study was a descriptive analysis and used the formula contributions as well as presented in the form of tables. The results showed that rice farming was an average contribution of 22.29% on family income.*eprm*

Abstract

This study aims to determine the perceptions of farmers in rice fields on the performance of agricultural extension workers in Tatengesan Village, Pusomaen District, Southeast Minahasa Regency. This research wasconducted for 3 months from March to May 2019. The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. Primary data collection through interviews and filling out questionnaires with 9 direct questions to 20 respondents of lowland rice farmers. Secondary data was obtained from related institutions, namely the Agricultural Extension Office (BPP), the Old Law Office and the Pusomaen District Office of SoutheastMinahasa Regency, the Internet through google searching and google book, to obtain journal books and articles related to research topics, namely perceptions of lowland rice farmers on the performance ofagricultural extension agents. Data analysis carried out in the study was descriptive analysis using a Likert Scale. The results of the study using a Likert Scale showed that the index numbers of perceptions of lowlandrice farmers on the performance of agricultural extension workers were at the point of 57.96% which was included in the satisfied category. *eprm*

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the outpouring of women's working time in the family of carrot farmers, in the form of activities in the family and outside the family for carrot farming. This research was conducted for four months from October 2018 to January 2019. The data used in this study were primary data and secondary data. Primary data is obtained through direct interviews based on a list of questions to all female carrot farmers, in research location, as many as 17 people both as land owners and as land borrowers who seek carrot farming and have a family. Secondary data was obtained from the Rurukan Village Office and the internet through the Google Scholar to obtain articles, journals, and thesis related to the topic of research on the outpouring of women's working time in the farmer's family. The analysis used is descriptive analysis and in table form. The results of the study showed that the total work time of women in the carrot farmer family in Rurukan Village, Tomohon Timur Sub-District in the largest one week in the type of work in the family by all respondents was 251 hours and an average of 14.76 per respondent, compared to outpouring time outside the family for carrot farming in one week by all respondents was 56.16 hours and an average of 3.30 per respondent.*eprm*

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the public perception of the Bahowo mangrove forest. This research was conducted in Bahowo, Tongkaina Sub-District, Bunaken District, Manado City. The study lastedfor 3 (three) months from August to November 2018 starting from preparation to writing the final report. The selection of respondents was done purposevely.This study used primary data and secondary data. Primary data was obtained through direct interviews with 20 respondents based on a list of prepared statements. Secondary data was obtained through documentation from agencies related to this study, among others, at the Tongkaina District Office in Bunaken District, Manado City, local bookstore and the internet using a google search engine to access scientific journal articles and thesis from others universities regarding people's perceptions of mangrove forests. This research showed that the community has positve perceptions of mangrove forests. Bahowo in Tongkaina Sub-District, Bunaken Sub-District, Manado City as a whole stated that he agreed with a total score of 1,714 judgments from the statements conveyed by the community through direct interviews and by calculating the overall score to determine the community's perception of mangrove forests. The community argued that mangrove forests play a very important role for local communities such as protecting from the dangers of high waves and tsunami hazards.*eprm*

Abstract

This study aims to determine the participation of members in the Masawangan farmer group activities in Taratara Dua Village, West Tomohon District. The study was conducted in September to November 2019. The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. Primary data were obtained through direct interviews with respondents and secondary data obtained from government agencies related to the research topic. Sampling in this study was carried out by census technique that is all members of the Masawangan Farmer Group, totaling 10 respondents so that all members were interviewed using a questionnaire. Analysis of the data used in this research is descriptive analysis using a Likert Scale. The results showed that the participation of members in the planning, implementation and evaluation stages of the Masawangan farmer group was high.*eprm*
