In Indonesia, Sufism has become a focal part of the development of Islam from 13th to 18th century. Once Islam was widely spread out of Indonesia in 13th century, the teaching of Sufism had metamorphosed into a religious movement known as tarekat (Sufi order). Through tarekat movement, Islam in Indonesia has grew not only as a religion but also as a fundamental part of cultural entities in the country. Among these cultures is the Culture of Philosophy in Lombok. This article attempts to scrutinize the development of Tarekat Movement and the Culture of Philosophy in Lombok. These two aspects are analyzed through an anthropological study. The study finds that Tarekat Movement has played significant role in the growth of the Culture of Philosophy in Lombok. Through the Culture of Philosophy, the Muslim people in Lombok learn and understand Islam as a set of logical facts that teaches its adherents about the Divine Reality and wisdoms of life. This culture has been transmitted from generation to generation through oral and written transmissions, in which the written way is found within classical manuscripts. Through these media, the doctrines of Sufism have been taught as a means of cherishing the relation amongst God, Man, and Nature.

Sebagai agama yang mensinkronkan teks dengan perkembangan sosio-kultural, Islam menjadi agama yang tidak terpaku kepada pemaknaan ajaran-ajaran agama dalam sebuah teks. Selain ditandai dengan pemahaman keagamaan yang dinamis, sinkronisasi ini juga tercermin dari maraknya penulisan teks keagamaan dalam dunia Islam, sehingga Islam menyebar ke berbagai wilayah dunia sebagai agama yang konstruktif dan damai. Di Indonesia, perkembangan ini tercermin pada pola kulturisasi isi naskah-naskah kuno secara sosio-kultural. Hal ini di antaranya bisa dilihat dari cara orang-orang Sasak di Lombok mempelajari dan menghayati ajaran-ajaran fikih dalam naskah-naskah kuno, baik itu yang berbahasa Jawi, maupun Kawi. Selain merefleksikan akulturasi antara aksara Jawi dan Kawi dengan kebudayaan-kebudayaan lokal yang menyebar di antara berbagai pulau di Indonesia, kulturisasi literatur-literatur tersebut menandakan dinamisnya pemahaman orang-orang Islam di Indonesia. Baik dari sisi fikih, tasawuf, maupun dari sisi kebudayaan. Artinya bahwa pemahaman suku-suku bangsa yang menganut Islam di Indonesia tentang fikih tidak seragam.

Abstract: In the history of Islam in Nusantara, text and trade plays a very important role in the formation of Islam as a civilization. Among the texts that are known which contributed for islamic civilization growth is medicine manuscripts. In Indonesia, these manuscripts already play a significant role towards the construction of Islamic culture and local culture in various regions in the archipelago from the 15th century AD, which include Lombok. In Lombok, medicine manuscripts are forming a distinctive history of Islamic civilization in Central Indonesia. Among these manuscripts is Usada Rara manuscript. As a major medical texts, Usada Rara manuscript recorded various different types of medicinal plants and the various forms of treatment techniques that combine normative aspects in Islamic Jurisprudence with the holistic aspects in Sasak people views about nature. Thus, that synergy became the deciding factor for diversity growth beyond the social and religious group in Lombok, both among the followers of Islam, and between Islam and other religions, such as Buddhism and Hinduism.Keywords: Lombok, Jawi, Kawi, Usada Rara, Islamic Medicine.

Fikih manuscripts significantly influenced the Islamic societies typology are changing in Indonesia since the 17th century, i.e. Shirat al-Mustaqim and Tuhfah al-Mursalah. This study aims to analyze the influence of fikih manuscripts on indigenous people's religious patterns and also their religious practices in Lombok. By using the phenomenological approach to indigenous peoples in Central Lombok, this research found the text of fikih were brought to Lombok in the 17th century and the 18th century. This era built the practices of Islam by combining the tradition aspect and the Shafi'i's School paradigm. The manuscripts are using more Arabic-Malay (Jawi) script. They were spread out between Sasak people in Lombok between the 17th century and 18th century from the traders and Sasak people who travelled to several regions in Sulawesi and Sumatra. The manuscripts, such as Shirat al-Mustaqim and Tuhfah al-Mursalah give a strong character to the practices of fikih among indigenous peoples in Lombok. This can be seen on local implementation of wudu' and shalat. By the people in Lombok, this was known as Menjadi Sasak, Menjadi Islam.

This study aims to explore the role of Islam on the morphological authenticity of house buildings in the indigenous people of Limbungan Perigi Village, Lombok Timur and its relationship with the existence of cultural tourism. The ethnographic method summarised qualitative data through in-depth interviews and participatory observations for four months at the research site. Data analysis is sourced from primary data in the form of contact persons who know the identity of the data studied (elders, traditional leaders and indigenous youth) who have settled permanently. Research samples are taken purposively for data representation that must be valid and provide accurate and factual information. Secondary data in the form of literature references are also material for improving this research. The results showed a close relationship between Islam, the traditional house of the Limbungan community and the positioning of cultural tourism by the local government. The traditional house of the Sasak tribe of Limbungan Perigi has Islamic architectural values such as Bale (houses), roofs, walls, doors, floors, foundations, stairs, barns, and others. This value contains aesthetics, holistic education, manners, and social, cultural and economic values. Customs, traditions and Islam in the indigenous people of Limbungan Perigi are the subjects of a comprehensive study in this research.

This research is about contrast analysis and error analysis. The aim of this study is to find out the effectiveness of contrasting analysis and error analysis in improving the understanding of the Arabic language students in Madrasa Aliyah Addiinul Qayyim. This madrasah was chosen as an object of research because of the differences in the methods of teaching Arabic with other madrasas in Eastern Lombok. The hypothesis of this research is that contrast analyses and error analyses are effective in improving the ability of Arabic students. This research uses this kind of experiment with pretest and posttest designs as well as quantitative approaches. The total sample is a class of twenty students with data collection techniques using tests before and after as well as the test-t formula. Both the design of the pretes and the postest are established on the basis of the teaching instruments applied by the teachers in the madrasah of addiinul qayyim. The results of this study show that t-count is 4,769 and t-table is 2,061, which means that contrast analysis and error analysis are effective in improving students' skills in Arabic. Abstrak Penelitian ini tentang analisis kontrastif dan analisis kesalahan, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas analisis kontrastif dan analisis kesalahan dalam meningkatkan pemahaman bahasa arab siswa pada kelas x madrasa aliyah addiinul qayyim. Madrasah ini dipilih menjadi obyek dari penelitian karena perbedaan metode pengajaran bahasa Arab dengan madrasah-madrasah lain di Lombok Timur. Hipotesis dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa analisis kontrastif dan analisis kesalahan efektiv untuk meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa arab siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis eksperimen dengan desain pretest dan postest serta pendekatan kuantitatif. Baik desain pretes, maupun postest, keduanya ditetapkan berdasarkan instrumen-instrumen pengajaran yang diterapkan oleh para guru di madrasah addiinul qayyim. Jumlah sampelnya adalah kelas x yang berjumlah dua puluh siswa dengn tehnik pengumpulan data menggunakan test sebelum dan sesudah serta menggunakan rumus uji-t . Hasil penelitian ini bahwa t-hitung 4,769 dan t-tabel 2,061 yang berarti bahwa analisis kontrastif dan analisis kesalahan efektiv dalam peningkatan kemampuan siswa di bidang bahasa Arab.

This study aims to explore the intertwining of two Islamic teachings, namely environmental values and worship practice in three old manuscripts popular among Wetu Telu people in North Lombok. It questions how the three, Serat Rengganis, Usada Rara, and Tuḥfah al-Mursalāh ilā Rūḥ an-Nabī deliver the teaching through its contents about the two themes. Those manuscripts are well known and routinely recited among Wetu Telu in Bayan, a village that routinely holds a ritual called pepaosan. The anthropological method used in this paper relies on primary data through in-depth observation, interviews with relevant parties, as well as manuscript content mapping. The finding shows that environmental values and worship teaching among Wetu Telu in North Lombok are mostly based on those manuscripts with Serat Rengganis as the mostly referred and popular one. The manuscripts likely use metaphors to deliver the teaching which makes it hard to understand the meaning without attending the pepaosan to listen to explanations from the experts. Integration of both teachings is mainly clear from how Wetu Telu people are supposed to behave well to God, fellow humans, and nature. Both individual and social worship of Wetu Telu, like ṣalāt (prayer) and al-ḥajj (pilgrimage), also indicate how the three old manuscripts still play an important role within the community.
