Abstract

This research to describe the income and consumer response in the traditional market revitalization activities of the Toboali terminal. This research was conducted at the traditional market terminal of Toboali village, South Bangka Regency from February 2019 to July 2019. The research method used was a survey method. The sampling method uses simple purposive sampling technique to determine the number of consumer respondents as many as 90 people and traders as many as 30 respondents, as well as the method of processing and analyzing data using descriptive qualitative analysis and the paired t-test. The results showed the existence of revitalization of old buildings and the addition of new buildings. Traders' income before and after market revitalization activities is Rp. 6,339,376.83 per month, as well as consumer responses in the revitalization of traditional market activities in the physical aspects of infrastructure improvement and market building maintenance index figures obtained by 76.44 percent, improvement in market environment cleanliness obtained index numbers by 77.78 percent, an increase in securing and controlling the market obtained an index number of 71.73% and mapping and training of traders obtained an index figure of 81 percent

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan serapan tenaga kerja pada perusahaan perkebunan kelapa sawit di Desa Mangka Kecamatan Bakam Kabupaten Bangka, menganalisis faktor-faktor apakah yang mempengaruhi tingkat serapan tenaga kerja pada pekebunan kelapa sawit di Desa Mangka Kecamatan Bakam Kabupaten Bangka. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember 2018 sampai dengan bulan Agustus 2019 di Desa Mangka Kecamatan Bakam Kabupaten Bangka. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survei. Metode penarikan contoh yang digunakan adalah metode quota sampling dengan sampel 76 orang. Serapan tenaga kerja pada perusahaan perkebunan kelapa sawit dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif, sedangkan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi srapan tenaga kerja dianalisis menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa serapan tenaga kerja pada perusahaan perkebunan kelapa sawit di Desa Mangka Kecamatan Bakam Kabupaten Bangka sebesar selama kurun waktu 21 tahun mengalami kenaikan sebesar 1%. Faktor yang mempengaruhi tingkat serapan tenaga kerja pada perusahaan perkebunan kelapa sawit adalah serapan tenaga kerja dulu dan pendidikan

Abstract

The study’s aims were (1) Calculating the feasibility of hanjeli farming, and (2) Describing the marketing channel for hanjeli farming. This study was conducted from December 2022 to July 2023 in Tanjung Niur Village, Tempilang District, West Bangka Regency. The study was conducted using case study method on sample of 10 hanjeli farmers who selected using saturated sample method. The data used in this study was collected through observation, interview, and questionnaire. These data were analyzed using analysis of income, price breakeven point, production breakeven point, revenue breakeven point, and R/C ratio. The studys’ results were (1) Average R/C ratio of hanjeli farming in Tanjung Niur Village was 5, means every Rp. 1 in production costs incurred will receive revenue of Rp. 5; and, (2) Hanjeli farming in Tanjung Niur Village has one marketing channel, namely zero level marketing channel, where marketing channel shows direct sales from farmers to consumers.

Abstract

The problem of Muntok Pepper business performance continues to decline due to the inability of farmers to face price uncertainty, recognize and understand market conditions. The fact is that the number of business actors continues to grow. Competing to face changes in the business environment is necessary, so entrepreneurial farmers are needed. This study aims to look at the postharvest process carried out by Muntok Pepper farmers and analyze whether entrepreneurial orientation and market orientation are determinant factors that affect the postharvest handling process. The research method used a survey method involving 60 farmers. Using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), data analysis was carried out using smart Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results showed that the postharvest handling process was significantly influenced by entrepreneurial orientation and market orientation, but entrepreneurial orientation influence was greater than market orientation. Farmers carry out postharvest handling of Muntok Pepper in two stages. 50% of farmers carry out threshing, soaking, and drying processes. 50% of farmers do not do the sorting, grading, and milling process. Farmers’ decisions in postharvest handling are more influenced by the influence of the entrepreneurial orientation of farmers. Farmers who are motivated to excel, dare to take risks, and are willing to innovate by using new production methods tend to carry out a good postharvest handling process, not only threshing, soaking, and drying but also sort and process pepper derivative products.
