Ethnomathematics can empirically improve the cognitive abilities of students in elementary and secondary schools. However, in undergraduate study, there are still limited studies on integrating ethnomathematics in learning resources. This study aims to apply interpolation in modelling polynomial functions and integral volume on the shape of Buginese and Makassarese traditional foods. Furthermore, it can be used by students as relevant learning resources regarding interpolation and the concept of volume of solid of revolution (VOSR). This is a qualitative study using an ethnographic approach. The data were collected through observations to obtain general information, interviews with informants to find out food-making techniques, and documentation to obtain physical models of each type of food. Data Analysis Techniques consist of the domain analysis to obtain an overview of Buginese and Makassarese traditional foods and the taxonomic analysis to categorize mathematical concepts obtained from the modeling and simulation. The result of this research reveals that lammang is suitable with the slabs. It can be represented as constant functions that revolved around the x-axis or the y-axis. While paso, bolu cukke, and cantik manis as well as barongko batara, Putu, and cucuru can be outlined in linear functions rotating about the x-axis, y-axis, or others fixed-line. They meet the criteria of the disks method. However, they are described in the function of polynomials of n-degree. The use of washers can be described in the model of blundered and sarang semut with a hole in the middle caused by the intersection of two curves rotated about the x-axis or the y-axis. For shells, the model can be applied to determine the cover volume of the cover of pisang ijo flour and onde-onde. Thus, all types of traditional foods in this study can be appropriate objects for a learning resource in modelling the VOSR.

One goal of learning mathematics is to foster students’ critical thinking skills, but this has not been realized well in Indonesia. This study aims to produce a learning trajectory that can help students grow their critical thinking skills in studying quadrilaterals using the Burongko cake context. This study uses a design research method that comprises three stages, namely (1) preliminary design, (2) experimental design, and (3) retrospective analysis. This research was conducted at Madrasah Tsanawiyah As’adiyyah Bontouse with 25 students, nine males and 16 females of class VIII B. The results showed that this learning trajectory could improve students’ understanding of learning quadrilaterals with ease and fun because mathematical concepts are associated with students’ daily habits. The resulting learning trajectory is relevant to indicators of critical thinking skills, including interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and decision making. It was found that there was no significant difference in critical thinking skills between students who had high mathematical abilities and low mathematical abilities. Subjects with high mathematical abilities could carry out critical thinking processes to solve problems much better than subjects with low mathematical abilities. The results provide information about the use of local Bugis culture as a context of learning mathematics to improve students’ critical thinking.

Education often experiences several obstacles, especially at the primary school level experiencing difficulties related to the learning process. The use of the gallery walk method in increasing the understanding and learning development of students is considered significant to be applied. This research is a type of field research which uses the type of Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) which consists of 2 cycles (I and II) through data analysis, namely data reduction, data exposure and data inference. The implementation of cycle I shows the acquisition of understanding of Islamic religious education of students (67.62), and there are about 4 students who gain comprehension of learning outcomes in the good category (76.7%), meanwhile cycle II shows an average score of learning comprehension of students (80.62), and there are about 7 students who obtain comprehension of learning outcomes in the excellent category (73.3%). Thus, students as a whole can understand the subject matter with the application of the gallery walk method.

Abstrak Penelitian ini di latarbelakangi dari hasil pengalaman dan pengamatan peneliti selama pelaksanaan PPL di MTS DDI Bilajeng, bahwa peneliti melihat terdapat beberapa siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam belajar matematika. Dalam pelaksanaan PPL ini mahasiswa PPL melakukan proses belajar mengajar selama empat kali pertemuan dan satu kali evaluasi dengan menggunakan instrumen lembar tes tertulis. Permasalahan yang timbul dalam penelitian ini adalah 1). Faktor apa saja yang menyebabkan siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam belajar matematika materi Relasi dan Fungsi di MTS DDI Bilajeng; 2). Jenis kesulitan seperti apa yang dialami oleh siswa dalam belajar matematika pada materi Relasi dan Fungsi di MTS DDI Bilajeng. Adapun kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian ini adalah 1). Faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan siswa kesulitan dalam belajar matematika khususnya pada materi Relasi dan Fungsi yaitu diantaranya adalah faktor dari kepribadian siswa itu sendiri, faktor kurangnya minat belajar siswa terhadap matematika karena menganggap bahwa matematika itu sangat sukar untuk dipahami dan penuh dengan hitung-hitungan. Serta kurangnya pengetahuan prasyarat yang dimiliki oleh siswa; 2). Jenis kesulitan yang dialami oleh siswa adalah kesulitan memahami soal, kesulitan penggunaan konsep dan prinsip, serta kesulitan melakukan aspek komputasi. Katakunci: Diagnosis, Kesulitan Belajar, Relasi dan Fungsi Abstract This research was based on the results of the experiences and observations of researchers during the implementation of PPL at MTS DDI Bilajeng, that the researchers saw that there were some students who had difficulty learning mathematics. In implementing PPL, PPL students carry out the teaching and learning process for four meetings and one evaluation using a written test sheet instrument. The problems that arise in this research are 1). What are the factors that cause students to experience difficulties in learning mathematics with regard to the subject matter of Relations and Functions in MTS DDI Bilajeng; 2). What kinds of difficulties do students experience in learning mathematics in the material Relations and Functions in MTS DDI Bilajeng. The conclusions from the results of this study are 1). The factors that cause students difficulties in learning mathematics, especially in relation to the material of relations and functions, include factors from the student's own personality, the factor of the lack of student interest in mathematics because they think that mathematics is very difficult to understand and is full of calculations. As well as the lack of prerequisite knowledge possessed by students; 2). The types of difficulties experienced by students are difficulty understanding questions, difficulties in using concepts and principles, and difficulties in carrying out aspects of computation. The purpose of this study is to explain the doctrine expectations of learning mathematics. Data was collected through testing, interviews, and documentation. Researchers have designed a virtual learning trajectory (HLT) based on examining the obstacles students face when learning mathematics. Next, a didactic design was developed from HLT. The method of doctrine was implemented, and the results showed that the situation of the three principles expected by researchers was the doctrine of scaffolding strategy. When determining values that correspond to a pattern of numbers, researchers want to learn lessons and provide instructions in the form of education to solve problems. The researcher's expectation of giving other examples of arithmetic progressions when choosing a definition and the arithmetic progression examples help students better understand collaborative learning. The value of the nth term and the sum of the first n math terms are sent to each shirt to confirm the work and interact directly.

This research is focused on exploring the concepts of geometry and algebra on the equipment used in Konjo ethnic weddings which are categorized in the aspects of artistic tools, sandan, boards and food. This research is a qualitative research with an ethnographic approach whose stages include determining the scope, determining and interviewing informants, documenting and recording, domain analysis, taxonomic analysis and ethnographic writing. Based on the exploration results it is found that the observed customary equipment can be modeled into a relationship between polynomial functions, such as the relationship of two parallel lines and two perpendicular lines in the balli' and kanre anak, a quadratic function rotated about the x-axis represents the gandrang pannahan model. The relationships of constant, linear and quadratic functions which are rotated about the y-axis produce the form of the gandrang jong. Furthermore, the concept of geometry can also be explored in the songkok recca as a sandan requirement whose surface is elliptical and the volume can be approximated using the concept of volume calculation using the slab approach. Whereas in the food aspect, there are beng-beng as dumplings for cucuru which can be represented as a constant function which is rotated around the x-axis. In the process of making the equipment explored it shows the ability, skills and mathematical activities in the form of counting, designing, measuring, locating and explaining. Mathematical concepts identified in customary equipment can be used as contextual learning resources in learning mathematics in formal education.

Pembelajaran matematika memiliki kontribusi penting bagi pengembangan keterampilan berpikir kreatif bagi setiap individu untuk menjadi sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas. Namun, materi matematika untuk sekolah menengah yang sedikit abstrak sehingga membutuhkan visualisasi agar menjadikannya lebih konkret. Software Geogebra merupakan salah satu program aplikasi matematika yang sangat membantu pembelajaran matematika dan mempengaruhi kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa sehingga dapat berimbas pada prestasi siswa yang lebih meningkat. Merujuk pada urgensi implementasi program aplikasi Geogebra kegiatan pelatihan penggunaan Geogebra dipandang sangat penting dan strategis. Oleh karena itu Program Studi Tadris Matematika Fakultas Tarbiyah Institut Agama Islam Negeri Parepare hadir untuk kegiatan Pengabdian kepada masyarakat melalui Pelatihan Teknis Penggunaan Aplikasi Geogebra dalam Menyelesaikan Masalah Matematika bagi Siswa SMAN 1 Parepare. Sebagai upaya untuk membelajarkan geogebra pada tingkatan pembelajaran sekolah menengah. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan antara lain demonstrasi dan metode praktik secara langsung. Kegiatan ini mendapat respon positif ditinjua dari keseriusan para peserta saat kegiatan berlangsung. Respon siswa diukur dari hasil angket respon siswa yang diberikan.
