Abstract

  This community service program aims to empower PKK cadres and adolescents as agents of change in preventing child marriage. The program applied the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach by leveraging local assets such as PKK cadres, teachers, and community leaders. Activities included training, mentoring, reproductive health education, character development, and peer-to-peer education practices designed in a participatory manner. The results showed increased knowledge and awareness among adolescents, the formation of peer cadres actively delivering education, and improved capacity of PKK cadres in assisting the community. In addition, strong collaboration was established with schools, community leaders, and the village government to ensure program sustainability. These findings highlight that empowering PKK cadres and adolescents through the ABCD approach is effective in reducing child marriage practices and can be replicated in other regions.

Abstract

Character education tended to be co-opted by religious values through numerous conceptual and practical approaches. This study underscored the co-optation of religion in the character education process as applied at an Islamic boarding school. The didactic stages were trapped to articulate religious-based character only; thus, the complex meanings of character were narrowed by overlooking other potential principles. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation using the institution’s curriculum design. The findings indicated that leaders and teachers had a significant role in co-opting religious values for conceptualizing the schooling program. This was revealed in the curriculum content encompassing dominant spiritual standards. Equally, students' understanding of character appeared to be constructed by devout teachings. A slight character interpretation was exposed by religious perspectives co-opted by leaders, teachers, and curriculum. Therefore, the slender construal of character was disposed disregarding further principles having valuable points. This study recommended the need for stakeholder consideration, especially educational institutions, and Islamic boarding schools, for accommodating other values in shaping the pupils’ character, thus they were capable to compete with increasingly constricted global changes dynamically.

Abstract

Hermeneutika, sebagai sebuah metode pentafsiran, tidak hanya memandang teks, tetapi hal yang tidak dapat ditinggalkannya adalah juga berusaha menyelami kandungan makna literalnya, sebagai sebuah metode penafsiran, hermeneutika memerhatikan tiga hal sebagai komponen pokok dalam kegiatan penafsiran, yakni teks, konteks, dan kontektualisasi. Jadi, ketika konsep teks al-Quran dibongkar, dan dilepaskan dari posisinya sebagai Kalam Allah maka al-Quran akan diperlakukan sebagai teks bahasa dan produk budaya.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) what values are internalized through habituation at SDIT Insan Permata Kota Malang. (2) the process of internalizing religious values through habituation at SDIT Insan Permata Kota Malang, (3) the impact of internalizing religious values through habituation at SDIT Insan Permata Kota Malang. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. This study shows that the religious values instilled in students include values derived from divine values, namely faith and piety, and values derived from human values, including brotherhood, compassion, trustworthiness, and generosity. The internalization process is divided into three stages, namely the value transformation stage, the value transaction stage, and the value transinternalization stage. The impact of the internalization of religious values through habit formation is that students have good religious values, as seen in their more orderly and proper worship, greater responsibility for their duties and obligations, and a growing habit of giving alms.

Abstract

Artikel mendeskripsikan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan di pondok pesantren Raudhatul Ulum Sumberanyar Kabupaten Lumajang yang dilaksanakan pada tanggal 02-06 Desember 2023. Peserta psikoedukasi kader kesehatan mental dalam pengabdian ini difokuskan kepada para santri Raudhatul Ulum Sumberanyar Kabupaten Lumajang sebanyak 139 santri. Hasil pendampingan pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa di antara dimensi kesehatan mental para santri Raudhatul Ulum yang terbina dengan baik adalah Kesejahteraan Emosi dan Kesejahteraan Psikologis. Teknik pendampingan yang digunakan dengan: 1) konseling organisasi kelompok atau group guidance; 2) Teknik yang bersifat psikologis menggunakan kekuatan nasehat; 3) Teknik yang bersifat kejiwaan alam bawah sadar, teknik ini hanya dilakukan dalam empati.
